Completely gorgeous pub with rooms, feels very unique and very comfortable. Lots of character and the room felt much more cosy than I was expecting. Delighted to get a bathtub! Breakfast was good value with lots of options and the staff were all so kind and helpful. I only ended up here because the rail strikes forced me to split a journey, and I actually loved my little enforced minibreak.

The rooms are absolutely stunning, food is amazing too, cleanest is on point and staff go above and beyond for you. We booked two different room as we was staying for a wedding and both rooms was amazing and adaptable for our stay. Talking about the food again it truly was lovely we had breakfast and evening meal here and always busy with customers so that says a lot about the food. Had one problem with the shower and staff was up within seconds to sort it out for us as it was too hot. Great choices on real cask ales The only small fault is no fridge in room. Really don’t think they charge enough for the rooms as they really are beautiful, vintage and big. Thank you so much sun inn for the stay would return in a heart beat.

Brilliant location,couldn’t be more central, yet wonderfully quiet - even though it’s a thriving hotel and has a busy bar, there was no noise at all in the rooms-beautifully comfortable and peaceful during the night.The decor in the room was neutral and fresh and the room and bathroom was spotlessly clean.Nothing at all here not to like-great value for money.The only very small but important thing was no caffeine free drinks in the room but when this was mentioned to the staff they went over and above and provided some proper leaf herb tea to the room.All the staff we dealt with were amazing-they couldn’t do enough for us-professional,kind and a pleasure to deal with.Thoroughly recommended

I loved my stay at The Sun Hotel & Bar. I was in a luxury double room, with a wonderful ensuite bathroom. The decor and lighting was beautiful, making me feel very relaxed and cosy. The amenities were perfect, including a power shower, iron and hair dryer, as well as the biscuit treats, along with the coffee and tea supplies. Great value for money too! The breakfast was of such high quality, delicious! All the staff were friendly, polite, good humour, and very professional. I will most certainly return again!

The Hotel is steeped in character and charm. The very friendly and helpful staff add to welcoming atmosphere of the building. The bar is outstanding with a great range of real beer and much else. The breakfast is enormous and excellently prepared. The location is central to the city so an easy walk to many places of interest. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was bigger than I expected, with an excellent shower.

The room had a night light which glowed green. No doubt it is a safety feature but I prefer to have a dark room.

Great location, lovely cosy room, comfortable bed, fab walk-in shower. The bar downstairs was a fun place to hang out in the evening and the breakfast was delicious. Whole place felt cared for and well run. Only drawback was no parking on-site, but we were able to pull up to unload luggage then parked in a multi-storey just down the hill, less than five minutes walk away. Loved being in the town centre close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Our first time in Lancaster and we really enjoyed it. We would stay here again.

A lovely hotel with great atmosphere, beautifully decorated and fabulous historical information dotted around the building which brought its history alive. Fabulous breakfast set us up for the day. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for a stay in the centre of Lancaster.

The beer garden was noisy until 1am but no more than I’d expect from a city centre hotel on a warm summer evening.

The hotel was very stylish, my room was huge and very luxurious. It was located a short distance from the venue we were visiting and close to several pubs and restaurants. The staff were very polite and helpful. A great range of locally brewed beers and ales available at the bar, plus the usual domestic beers. The breakfast was a varied selection, a good size, and extremely filling. £12 if booked your room through a 3rd party site, but complimentary if you booked directly with the hosts.

There was no parking available on site, but several small pay and display car parks located in the area. A problem if you have large luggage. The bathroom was an adequate size, but the heating had been set to maximum, and as a result I burnt my arm on the towel warmer.

Great location, amazing breakfast, nice decor, generous room, brilliant facilities in the room (I stayed in a luxury double) and very friendly staff.

Plenty of pillows but all synthetic and VERY hard, so despite having 4 I couldn’t find one which was comfortable. Even though they accommodated my request for a quiet room, you do still pick up a lot of noise from being in the center of town. But that is what it is & I suspect any hotel would have this issue. It didn’t spoil my stay.
