Much cheaper than most local alternatives. Convenient for visiting Waitomo Caves or if on a road trip. The room was very clean, even smelled clean, when we arrived. It had everything needed and as advertised. Had no problems with noise in the night from the road or rail line. Had a decent pizza from the local shop. The man on reception was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy, shower was decent. TV was a step up - we logged into Amazon Prime but Netflix is provided free and they had Sky Sports.

Look it is not exactly beautiful. The fixtures are a little tired, but it didn't affect functionality. The fridge was quite noisy and probably needs replacing.

Waitomo is a motor lodge and has no breakfast facility, however Bosco Cafe across the road was very good. I would describe Waitomo as more up scale rustic as motor lodges go. The room is large and spacious and includes nice skin care products. The staff was very nice and asked if we required additional items. Paid laundry on the premises was great.

The property is wedged between a main road and rail line so may be a bit noisy if you are sensitive to such things. It did not bother us much. The area is a mix of commercial and industrial. There is not much to do in the immediate area. Having a car was essential.

Customer service is 5STAR, totally amazing!! I requested transport from my destination to the Lodge, (not knowing where it was, it was like 5metres from where I was, lol) but Sam came to pick us up. Then my cousin wanted an upgrade, Sam provided the upgrade immediately! Great man Sam! The studio was impeccable, clean, well presented and beds beautifully soft & comfortable. I would highly recommend this Lodge's accommodation!! 5 STAR!!

There was nothing to not like.. The service was efficient, friendly & welcoming. The staff - Sam - is an amazing Manager who is ready to respond to your requests with the utmost efficiency.

Like a home away from home awesome staff management amazing comfortable rooms, this is my go to place in Te Kuiti 😀 guaranteed cleanliness and security, A+ to the management, from having carpark at my door to getting free chocolates and water at the booking office. Walking into a bathroom with everything you need to shower or bath in, it's beautiful and clean with luxurious towels. The bed is huge and wonderfully comfortable. Liked the studio style and price was good enough for what I needed. Nothing can compare.

Great place to stay. Very clean and friendly staff. Great to be able tap in to Netflix etc too. Choccies and water a nice touch at check-in.

The room was really good value for money but just have a couple of small things that didn't ruin the stay for us, but something that might be done a bit better. The room description said dinning table and chairs. Was missing from our room. It didn't bother us as we were only there one night, but if staying longer would've been nice to have one. Also, I'm not keen on doing dishes in the bathroom sink, so jusr left them for the cleaner to wash. Otherwise everything else was good.

We loved our stay in Room 14. The guy at reception (Sam?) was lovely. Complimentary chocolates and water bottles upon arrival, and milk already in the fridge. Comfortable bed, a good kitchenette, a roomy bathroom with wet room. The bed was very comfortable. The soundproofing is excellent. Good air-conditioning and heating. The motel is sandwiched between the busy main road and the railway track and with the doors closed we couldn't hear either - or the neighbours, or the carpark outside. I don't know about the other rooms, but whoever planned Room 14 is clever. Chalet style with a high sloping roof and a window which takes up the entire wall, roof to ceiling. The view in itself is of small trees in the garden, overgrown riverbank, the railway track, and wooded slopes on the other side of a barely used old road. The grand window, however, makes the view itself grand - as does the deck outside. The high stud makes an otherwise average-sized ground-level room feel huge for two people. We got the room at a reduced price, but I would be prepared to stay again and pay the full.

It's not a dislike, more a suggestion. Maybe a slip-mat for the wet room. We were fine but older people might not feel so confident.

Staff were friendly and helpful, recommended a great local restaurant on request. The room had comfy beds, good heating and location had a lovely quiet calm feel to it. There was quite a group of us staying and we had a fun time with a few drinks and lots of laughter on returning to our accommodation at nights, this was not a problem and we weren't asked to quieten down or return to our rooms or anything. A bonus is the fabulous Shoppington complex next door, well worth checking out.

Lovely modern design and high ceiling gives a feeling of spaciousness. The motelier had thoughtfully turned on the heating as I was arriving late. TV had lots of channels including Netflix. Very quiet at night - like being out in the country. I'm not 100% sure but I could hear bird callling at night and wondering if it was Kiwi? Look forward to staying here again. Property was well maintained. Nice outdoor balcony area to sit outside.

What a great little gem of a find. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay whilst visiting Waitomo Caves. I liked the toilet and shower had an additional door for privacy. The 2nd bedroom was great too. Could easily and comfortably stay for longer. If there was any gripe it would be that our car should park in front of our unit. Great facilities, very comfortable bed. Highly recommended.

We arrived a little early for check in but was met by the welcoming staff. I explained we had had an incident of car sickness on the way there and would we be able to check in a little early (30mins). They said that was not a problem and then offered us a bucket and cleaning supplies. The complementary water and chocolates was a really nice touch. The lodge was in a great location for our adventure and was certainly comfortable and clean.
