In general, the Hotel 'Loenfjord Loen' is a very good hotel that largely met our expectations. What we liked most: + The location of the hotel is incredible, directly at the river 'Loelva', really close to the Loenfjord, enabling amazing views out of the hotel. A supermarket and several attractions (e. g. Loen Skylift) are just around the corner. + The food - the breakfast aswell as the dinner - is really delicious and versatile. + The room was pretty big, the beds comfortable and the view amazing.

Even though the hotel 'Loenfjord Loen' is a very good option, there is still 'room for improvement': - The price/performance-ratio could be better. - Minor improvements in the room, for example clear the blockage of the sink drain, installing a hose without holes in the shower or removing the ashtray on the balcony. - Do not make cynical jokes while checking out.

Fantastic location and outstanding restaurant, our dinners outside at the fireplace with a view on the river have been excellent with great service. Excellent room for two guests, somewhat crowded for a family of three (two parents and one teenager).

Fjord view was only a partial fjord view (high hedges have been planted right in front of the balcony, we were at ground level), and the room was at a noisly street. To avoid street noise one could choose the river view. Be aware that during our stay each day 4 to 6 buses arrived with new guests for a one-night stop, i.e. avoid breakfast before 8:30. Note: they have dinner in a different restaurant in the hotel.

No EV charging station on the premises, but at least you have 2 possibilities: 1. At the Joker Supermarket across the street (30 sec. on foot) - fast charging station from Eviny (you need the "Bilkeraft" app in order to use it, and an account) - you pay what you charge. 2. At the Alexandra Hotel across the street (1 min on foot) - you pay a fixed price (395 NOK/day) for parking & charging your car (I don't recommend this option as usually you are not charging for 395 NOK, and the parking at the hotel is free... so unless you know you will charge more than 395 NOK, go for the Joker Supermarket option. I arrived with half a battery and only paid 180 NOK at the supermarket charging station)

The stay was very good and all aspects of our expectations were met. Staff was helpful and the breakfast and dinners were very good. We enjoyed the view of the of the river and the lake area. The location next to the activity center, grocery store and near the Hoven cable car was very convenient

Excellent location, very pleasant staff, easy parking, and very good breakfast. Room was comfortable. We had an excellent a la carte dinner at the restaurant…the food, the service and the surroundings with the rushing River rapids were all lovely.

The shower was leaky, no bedside outlet to recharge phone/computer, no shampoo, room got stuffy and if you opened the windows, it got a bit noisy from the road.

Good size room, with view of river and mountains. Good breakfast selection. Chose because of location, as only a few minute walk to the Loen Skylift. Check in lady advised us to delay breakfast until after 8, as there were coach parties staying, who would be eating early and then leaving.

Nothing springs to mind

We liked the restaurant and the fish soup was delicious. We liked walking along the bike and pedestrian paths through town. Mountain views were gorgeous. There was ample parking spaces.

It is a stopping location for tour buses which made breakfast crowded.

Lovely surroundings

Very old hotel with carpets. So it had a distinct smell in the corridors. Breakfast was very basic. Overall the price was very high

Comfortable very clean room. We were lucky to be allocated a room with a view to the fjord, which made to difficult to extract yourself from the balcony serenity. Front office staff provided helpful time advice for avoiding tourist bus surges!

Clean and quiet property very close to Loen skylift. Great views of mountain and river joining fjords. Food was great. Free onsite parking. Convenient location close to Geiranger and Skala hike. Great stay.
