Amazing isolated location with views to snowy mountains, beautiful sunsets and plenty of birdlife and wild flowers in the surrounding land. Clean, comfortable stylishly fitted out accommodation.

In such a remote location it is necessary to bring your own food and the apartment had no oven. It at least needs a decent sized combi microwave. More kitchen utensils and cooking equipment are required Parking is immediately outside the front bedroom so you may get disturbed you if you are using the second bedroom and people are arriving later or leaving earlier than you . There was a constant drone from the plant room which could be heard when sitting outside.

Best place I stayed at during the trip to Iceland. Location is absolutely stunning, the views through the window made us forget that there was a TV in the apartment! Attention to detail was immaculate - from beautiful crockery to little chocolate treats, it's decorated very beautifully and everything seemed to be brand new. Super easy check-in. Great curtains in the bedrooms, that really helped when the sun does not set! Some reviews suggest that the drive to location is really bad, I have to disagree - yes, it's a gravel road for a couple of kms, but it's absolutely fine and easy to drive with not even a 4x4 car.

Nothing!

Amazing, remote location with views of distant mountains. Step out and the sheer vastness of the plain will take your breath away - it is absolutely beautiful. The apartments are located at the end of a 7 km gravel road through a lava field - we managed OK with 2WD (Kia Ceed), but had to take it quite slowly (20 mins). The site is still a work in progress, but our apartment was cosy, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We were a little low on receptacles for the bolognese we cooked on the first night, but our lovely host Margrét was quick to drop off some extra crockery (thank you!)! Yes, the walls are a little thin, but we had no issues as our neighbours were all very considerate. Our stay at Stracta Apartments was definitely the highlight of our trip, being within a couple of hours drive of both Vatnajokull National Park and Thingvellir National Park.

The place is gorgeous and really in the middle of nowhere. Nice clean luxury apartments and probably a succes since they're building more. Would've loved to seen a bit more luxury around the place, but everything was still under construction.

Make sure you take the right exit. My GPS made me turn one exit left before the one I should've, and it drove me straight into an old "lava field." I'm not one for stressing out much, but this "road" was not it. I could not turn back cause it was way too small and had to ride to the end where I could finally make a turn and do the thing all over again. I think a jeep would even have a hard time with this one. Zoom out on your map to check if you have the right road. For 250 a night I was a bit disappointed I could hear my neighbors watch Netflix until midnight. The walls are incredibly thin and I could hear them roll over in bed. Seems to be the theme of iceland to be fair, but for this much money, I hoped for an absolutely quiet night in the middle of nowhere.

Our stay here was very enjoyable. Though the driveway was rougher than expected for our car, it was worth the drive. Once we finally arrived, we found our room to be comfortable and clean and well stocked. We were able to cook our dinners easily in the kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. As long as you're not scared off by a little bit of a bumpy ride, this spot is a great stay.

Be aware that the driveway is far longer and rougher than expected (probably 15 minutes of driving after turning off the main road).

The apartments are in a unique, secluded location - off the beaten track. They seem quite new and clean.

There is only very basic crockery and cutlery - 2 plates, 2 k,f,s which seems limiting. If you accidentally broke a plate, you’ve had it! We cooked spaghetti but realised there was no colander so on trying to drain it without we wasted half of our meal into the sink. There is only one towel provided so you don’t have one for towel drying your hair. We had two apartments, paid the same price but one was significantly larger inside than the other. If they can improve on the crockery, cooking utensils and additional towel, that would improve their apartments.

The room was spacious and clean, as well as the bathroom. There were coffee pods left for the hosts. The quiet and silence were amazing.

The location is a bit...lost in nowhere. The road to drive along is full of holes and bumps, thankfully we were driving during summer so, even if late at night, we were able to drive safely. No indications to confirm you are not driving to nowhere and you got scammed

The apartment is very comfortable and has enough space for two people. It was great to have a coffee maker with pods.

Unfortunately the walls are too thin, so you can hear absolutely everything from the other apartments and it is difficult to rest before midnight because even if the neighbors try hard not to make noise, it is impossible not to hear them talking. Additionally, something that it was not an issue for us but may not be so good for some people is that the accommodation is quite far from the main road and it is a gravel road.

As indicated, the place is 7km from the ring road on a gravel road. It looks like a motel with a row of rooms/apartments. The whole place is very clean and obviously very new. We appreciated the coffee machine and capsules. Bathroom is very comfy.

By Icelandic standards the place is overpriced and the kitchen should definitely be better equipped. As it is so far from any village , we had to cook in the flat and there was only ONE pot and no pan. Besides, the microwave oven is tiny.

We stayed in a modern small apartment 7km from route one towards the sea, down a gravel road. The bed was comfy.

This apartment block is on a building site, on which there apparently will be construction work going on for quite a while ! This was not in the description ! The first link to directions we were given did not work, so we attempted to follow google maps. That was a big mistake, with us ending up in a lava field in view of the apartments. When I called the contact number, the man I spoke to did not recognise his apartments from my description - I could see them from where we had to turn back to route 1. He sent us a different link to rather poor directions to his apartment blocks. We had to ask someone on the way if we were still going in the right direction. So about an hour and a half after first turning off route 1 we eventually arrived. It was rather expensive for what it was.
