The Kennard is a very nice and authentic building, very cosy and nicely furnished. The bed is comfortable and the room has all the essentials. The bathroom is functional even if it's a bit tiny. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, you can have a pleasant chat when arriving and they help you with anything you need, including indications for parking. The position of the hotel is great, a minute walk from the city centre and convenient to access all the city landmarks.
The only negative aspect of the stay was that the room was cold. Heating was off when we arrived, and the single heater of the room was not powerful enough to warm it quickly, also because the big window of the room was not very isolated and cold air filtered through it. The bed had good sheets and extra blankets, so we didn't suffer cold through the night. However, a warmer room would have been better, especially if you need to spend a couple of hours in it not only while sleeping.

The room was comfy and beds exceptionally so . There was a problem in that the shower head kept slipping and the bathroom light was temperamental . The breakfast was nice but would have liked at least one hot option while weather was so cold. The location was great just a short walk from the busy centre
As stated above a hot option for breakfast would have been nice . The reception seemed to be empty a lot and while there was a number to contact . I think should have been someone available in person more often

The location was fabulous, close to the centre, but far enough away that it was peaceful. Room was comfortable good bed linen, comfy bed, spotlessly clean. honesty bar is a nice, but expensive touch ( £2.50 ) for a packet of crisps. Staff were all very helpful.
We had a superior room, but apart from it being a large room, there was nothing special about it, bathroom/toilet is tiny, the sink is in the sleeping area. basic tea and coffee facilities, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a couple of biscuits in a small kilner jar, could maybe have some hot chocolate sachets, when we got back it was bitting cold and a hot chocolate would have hit the spot.

The hotel was absolutely perfect - the staff, our lovely room, the location that was an a quick an easy walk to the center, a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, locally sourced cheese, and other goodies. We had the smallest room on offer, but it was designed smartly so we felt quite cozy. Being able to stop in front to drop our luggage was very convenient as parking is very difficult there. It is best to make yourself aware of the available lots beforehand. I also want to say thank-you to the kind lady who checked us in and greeted us at breakfast (I am sorry I do not recall her name). She was amazing - so cheerful and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

My wife and I always enjoy our stays at the Kennard when we visit Bath. Clean, tidy, nice size rooms. We think the honesty bar is different and a nice way to treat your guests. Take the drinks you want, write your name and room number and the drinks on the paper supplied, and leave at reception. We have never seen that at other places we have stayed. A very good and varied breakfast selection, cooked and cold. Friendly staff are always willing to help.
We have stayed many times over the years, and to tell the truth, if there were things we did not like, we would not stay there.

Breakfast was delicious every day. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The location in Bath couldn't be better - you're no more than 10-15 minutes walk from most of the key tourist points in the city, but it's on a very quiet street in a quiet neighborhood.
We didn't have towels in our room when we checked in, but staff very quickly remedied this. They did seem to be a bit short-staffed overall, but it didn't take long to get someone to be available to answer questions. Be sure you are able to climb stairs as the house is a historic townhome and you will need to climb stairs to get to your room and/or to get to breakfast.

The Kennard is a lovely guesthouse with very friendly staff, rooms and a great breakfast. We stayed in a 'snug' double but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It wasn't as snug as we expected and we felt very comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect for any visitors wishing to be very slightly out of the main city centre but within 5 minutes walking distance.
Anyone with mobility difficulties may struggle a little bit with the stairs and the bathroom for our room was very small but it was perfectly adequate for us.

Great location, only a few minutes walk from the centre but in a quiet area away from main streets. Breakfast was very good, we weren't expecting such a good choice and quality. The staff we met were helpful and polite. We had a superior room which was a good size and we asked to change from the original one allocated which was next to the front door and they were able to accommodate this - we thought the other room being right by the entrance might have been a bit noisy. Loved the honesty bar as well and the extra touches like robes & slippers in the room and what looked like homemade biscuits.
The bathroom was very small with the sink out in the bedroom which I wasn't keen on - I'd rather have all the bathroom stuff in the bathroom personally. This arrangement does fit with the style of the place and age but it is a bit odd these days. The shower was really nice though, soft towels and nice smellies. Didn't sleep very well, found the bed and pillows a bit lumpy but that's such a personal preference it's hard to suit everyone's needs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Kennard. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Bridget responded quickly to any inquiries and the wait staff in the breakfast room was lovely. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great! A lot of variety and many healthy and fresh options to choose from. We would definitely stay at The Kennard again if we were to return to Bath

The room was clean and comfortable. Linens were high quality. Extra blanket and pillows available. The breakfast buffet had many tasty options. Coffee was delicious. Service was excellent. Location quiet and close to tourist sites and restaurants.
The Kennard is in an older building and the large window in our room needed to be insulated and caulked. It rattled loudly when the wind blew, and there was a draft.
