A wonderful old Georgian house in a lovely setting. A five minute walk to the Abbey and the city centre meant everything was on our doorstep. We parked overnight in the Podium car park, as we’d parked there last year for the xmas market (a very reasonable £15 for 24 hours) and had an easy eight minute walk to the property, avoiding the busy areas. Instructions from the owner were clear and we were able to get into the room at 1.30pm if we wanted to and there was the facility of dropping off our luggage earlier if we so desired. The room was at the top of the house, so good old windy stairs, and had a view of the old houses (which looked lovely when it was dark with their soft lighting, like stepping back two hundred years). The house was immaculately and tastefully decorated. The room (6) was cosy and had excellent facilities and a comfy bed. When we arrived, we had to sign up for a breakfast sitting, either 8-9 or 9-10. Our host made us very welcome at breakfast. The choice of food on offer was extensive…..cereal, yoghurt, fruit, croissants and a cooked selection. We chose a croissant followed by a delicious cooked breakfast with a choice of egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and toast. The flavours were amazing! The decaff coffee topped it all off. When I booked the Henry Guest House, it looked great but the reality was something else. An absolute gem of a place. We’ll be back for sure.

There was nothing to dislike.

Check in instructions were clear and easy. The room was large and comfortable, with two comfy upholstered chairs, and a table with tea and coffee fixings, and a large bottle of water. The room was quiet - no noise from other rooms. The bathroom was a good size, and the shower worked great. Our clothes got wet in the rain, and we hung them on the heated towel rack overnight and they dried by the next day. The hair dryer provided worked well. The best details were the artwork on the walls, and the books on the hall table. Loved them! Location was an easy walk from the train station and easy to walk to all the sights. Breakfast was excellent and the hostess was great. She let us store our suitcases after checking out so we could see a few more sights before our train at noon. Of the six places we have stayed in Great Britain on this 3 week trip, this was the best.

Nothing.

It’s a great location, easy to find and a cute little place to stay! The staff were really lovely and helpful, they even got flowers ready for our arrival as my partner called ahead to organise it for our anniversary. The location is fantastic, right in town!

Lack of free parking however that is just Bath so not the property’s fault, anywhere in town would be the same I imagine and a car park 30 seconds walk away so it was very easy to use! We booked a smaller room which was quite cosy but I believe they have bigger rooms available if you book earlier than us

The location of this immaculate guesthouse was fantastic and I had a good night’s sleep. Checking in was smooth and I was given useful information prior to my visit. The hostess was so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to help with any queries. Breakfast was good quality. I’d highly recommend this charming guest house. It was my second visit. Thank you!

It was all excellent but I’d probably select a room with an en-suite bathroom next time. Although the locked private bathroom was close by and spotless, I had to walk past a few other rooms to get into it. However, overall, my stay was very enjoyable.

Spacious, comfortable twin room with a large bathroom - all exceptionally clean. Delicious breakfast: fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, cereals, pastries, toast, and a plentiful, delicious, piping hot cooked breakfast which tasted like the best ingredients had been used. The carpark is across the street and cost us roughly £18 for the 24 hour period (13:30 Tue-13:29 Wed), as opposed to £18 per day which is what we'd expected, so we were happy. The owner, Christina, was lovely, and the location cannot be beaten.

The stairs nearly killed me, but I'm unfit! They won't bother most people but do be aware if you have mobility issues.

The location was fantastic. So close to all the main attractions and it was a bonus to be able to walk to everything. I really liked the host; she was super friendly and so eager to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was delicious and so much choice. I liked the ensuite shower room which always had hot water and a powerful shower.

It was a twin room and because it was an old building the floor wasn't level and one of the beds was at an angle! My room mate had an uncomfortable nights sleep. Internet was a bit patchy but eventually came good with the help of the host - who brought a booster.

Perfect for the weekend we enjoyed in Bath, as we arrived by train, and it's only 5 mins walk away! Our 2nd floor room was on the small size (with small but immaculate en-suite shower/WC) but really well appointed & very comfy, with a quiet aspect to the rear The shower itself was terrific! The room was warm & had a swivel TV which could be viewed from the bed or the 2 armchairs helpfully provided. Christina, our host, could not have been more helpful (including taking our suitcase up) and breakfast was really good, with fresh fruit, croissants, yoghurts & cereals, as well as cooked eggs, bacon, etc, etc.

Compact room & small en-suite, but adequate!

The location is excellent, 3mins walk to Bath Spa train station and about 5 mins walk to Stall street which is the centre of the city. The host Christina serves great breakfast, and it is filling with a good spread from cereals, yogurt, milk to eggs, mushroom, bacon and tomatoes. You can have a choice of coffee or tea as well as wholemeal or white bread. Although I stay right on the top floor with a steep flight of stairs at the last leg, it was more manageable than I thought and the hospitality and welcoming vibes of the place more than make up for it. My room’s toilet is outside but it’s private for me to use. I am fine with it. The place is very clean and I love it that there is a heat rack in the toilet. Feels good to be wrapped in hot towel in the cold weather.

Fantastic location. Very close to the therma Bath spa which we were booked in for the evening. The room was ready when we arrived at 12pm so we could check in early. Upgraded to a Family room which was great (twin room booked) Room 1 for reference. Breakfast was Fantastic with good choice. Leaving bags was an added bonus especially as so close to the train station. We had the option to do this before check in and after check out. Will definitely stay here again.

Shower wasn't the best, seemed to fill up fast in the bottom of the tray. Could have done with an anti slip mat. However, was ok for a night stay

Charming guest house very close to the city center and the train station. Some quirky features to enjoy in the architecture, generous breakfasts and quiet room. They are quite accommodating and allowed me to drop my beg off early and leave it there later on the last day.

I don't have any complaints. If you have mobility limitations please take the note on the site seriously, some of the stairs are steep (thanks to the original features inside).
