Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

There's a drainage issue with the shower. The bathroom floor was wet the for most of the stay. It seemed that when someone was showering, the water would flow out of the shower area and into the bathroom area. We put some towels down to help prevent the water from running into the room. It worked but the towels were soaked for the remained of the stay. That's the only problem! Everything else about the room was fantastic. (Sorry for being nit-picky, I wanted to be detailed.)

Lovely hotel surrounded by mountains. Hot tubs are not the newest but the view makes up for it. One of the most comfortable beds I slept in while in Iceland. Breakfast had tasty waffles.

The faucet in shower was stuck and had to use force to turn it. Even then the water was really hot.

This is a small guesthouse, close to the glaciers, in a quiet area. I work in the hospitality industry and I must say that I was extremely pleasantly surprised by my stay. The room is cosy and warm, clean and with a great shower. If you are looking for a place close to Höfn but also Jökulsárlón, then this is the perfect place for you. You are in the middle of both places and the prices are much more reasonable than in either of the other places. I cannot recommend this place enough! It is a fantastic guesthouse that has all bases covered & the perfect price-value-ratio! But please do not come here and expect a 5 star hotel - it is not.

Someone needs to fix the front door, when entering the main building, as it is hard to close (building, where 208 is).

The stay was good. We had a good view of the Hoffels glacier from the room and an even better one from outside. The room was clean and housekeeping staff were very friendly. It's a little off the beaten track so it was quiet, but there's no restaurant so eat before you arrive or drive to Hofn for dinner.

Breakfast was included but very mediocre. The coffee was undrinkable. A couple of people had waffles but when we asked where they were, the busboy pointed us at the microwave. The description implies that the hot tubs are on site but they are several hundred yards down the road and open to the public.

Practically everything! Wish we had more time there! Hot tubs were 👌🏻 The location couldn't be beat 😍 The room was large and comfortable 🥰 Amenities in the common area were awesome 👍🏻

Just 2 small things. The room was HOT. And being that the sun doesn't really set, we had to close the drapes to block the light to get any sleep, and it was super stifling at night. Maybe a fan during the summer months just to circulate the air. And when I was showering, it went from very hot(which I didn't mind) to freezing with no warning. The last 60 seconds of my shower were not pleasant. My husband said the same thing happened to him, but he turned the water off completely, then back on, and it fixed it. Wish I'd thought to try that! Ha!

The breakfast is good you have good options to eat. The room had one of the best blinds from the properties that we stayed. Good for sleeping during the summer time of the island.

Breakfast is a little later than other properties (at 7.30) but this is a minor nitpick. Also at the shower we didn't have soap provided by the hotel, we needed to use the one near the sink. Not a big deal but a minor inconvenience.

Lovely bedroom with kettle & tv. Lovely bathroom. Over looked the farm with the horses and was close to diamond beach and glacier cave tours. Staff friendly. Good big car park.

The room was slightly echoey (not much they can do about that lol) Breakfast was yoghurt, toast, waffles, cereal, meats, cheese and fruit. It was nice but it seemed a bit boring and maybe sparse as it was laid out across a big room. I’m not sure just something missing. To be fair tho the hotel we had been at before had disappointing rooms but brekkie was fab with hot options & cake 😁

The view of the glacier was unexpected. We enjoyed the hot tubs. Grateful that the staff came out early to open the dressing rooms and check the temperature. Enjoyed a soak before we checked out. Only there for one night but it's the kind of place that I would like to have stayed longer. The best guesthouse of the 4 guesthouses we stayed at during our trip. The price was very reasonable! And they served a nice breakfast, too.

Can't you tell there was nothing that I didn't like! Well maybe it would have been nice if someone was at the reception desk when we arrived. It was only about 1730pm. But they quickly answered the phone and gave us instructions about our stay. So that was satisfactory.

Staff was very friendly & helpful when I called after taking a wrong turn (read a sign directing me to a different location). I had a view of the glacier from my room which was quite nice. The bed was very comfortable & the room was quiet. The shower was large with ample hot water.

A hot breakfast would be nice. The breakfast was on par with other included breakfasts during my stay in Iceland...cold cuts, mostly deli meats & cheese, some grains, breads, etc.

Amazing location, spacious rooms, spotless bathroom. Very good breakfast buffet. The on site hot tubs are a great bonus.

Reception hours should be longer (8-9.30am-only open while breakfast is served) and it wasn't clear how to check in when we arrived. The nearest food establishments are 30 minute drive away in Höfn, so we had planned to do some self-catering- unfortunately we were not permitted to use the kitchen facilities, both in and out of reception opening hours.
