The room is super good as Mandarin stands, the location is excellent with walking distance to most places while besides the park it's even more peaceful to have a good rest after a day city walk. The bellman, reception and the concierge are all super nice and helpful.

The breakfast service is not good to us. The food is good, but there was no one coming to our table for service. We were waiting for 15 minutes without any one coming to serve, while the waiters kept talking to each other without looking around to pay attention to the customers. Eventually I have to walk to them to ask for orang juice and water which they hold at the place, and the waiter said to me you can't have water here, go back to your table, we will serve at the table. Ok then, I was back at our table, and he turned continuing to talking to others without any service. Don't understand why they ignored us, never has such experience. Hope no one will ever experience it.

Missed a mirrow on the other side of the door from bathroom and corridor. The tv was unnecessarily dominating the wall, wanted to have a mirror there. Room service good but missing a chair to enjoy the meals sitting properly. Asked help in help desc , needed tickets to Prado, she never came back with information how it went.

Breakfast excellent - great choices.

The paelaa in the Garden Cafe was a disapointment. It needs to be the old style mediterranean recipe with shrimps, clams, etc. and not the creamy crab sauce which was too spicy.

I have a pretty good spanish, not perfect but I can get by. In many cases when I started in Spanish and the staff noticed I'm not native, they switched to English automatically. Why? Don't they realize that it is interpreted by the guest that "your Spanish is not that good...". It is disrespectful. The free wifi was highlighted as a benefit and part of a good service to loyal customers! In today's world wifi is basic service provided for free everywhere. So it should be a place like Ritz.

Evertyhting was almost perfect, corresponding to expectations from Mandarin

Some minor tiny things could have been better. Coffee from Nespresso machines is not serious for Mandarin, some responds and actions from housekeeping could have been faster.

The level of service is very high and professional... I felt welcomed the minute I registered until I left... it's truly a most enjoyable experience that makes you want to come back to spend more time... The Hotel has all the confort you can expect, but the quality of the people makes all the difference... A perfect stay that I look forward to repeat...

They really go the extra mile to accommodate our needs. We arrived early from US and they had our rooms ready for check in right upon our arrival.
