The designs, the carpets, the security of getting to the lifts, the size of the room. The quality bed. The service from the bar staff.

I didn’t like the receptionist and the policy which wasn’t clearly displayed at the time of booking that you hold £100 deposit and need ID before being able to checked in. I didn’t have my ID or £100 deposit and was told they couldn’t check me in as a result. This wasn’t something stated at the time of booking and I was very upset about this and it’s not a hotel I would return back to as a result. In addition, you want to charge £100 deposit and yet you don’t have your own car park and we have to inconveniently park at the Travelodge hotel. very disappointing.

Cleanliness was my main concern when making a booking. The reviews were right, this hotel is so clean and tidy. The room was so comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were friendly and greeted me with a warm smile and were helpful with my silly questions. Really enjoyed my one night stay. I felt safe considering I was travelling solo.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds and quiet, peaceful room at the rear of the property. Room was in great condition, it looked like new and was a great design and very clean. We were given complimentary breakfast each which was a wonderful surprise and much appreciated. Buffet breakfast was tasty and hot -even 20 minutes before the end of service. Perfect location just a very short walk from London City Airport and the tube station. Convenient bus stop 2 minutes walk away with regular bus service.

The only downside was the lighting wasn't great for applying makeup

The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with a smile - such great service makes a difference. The hotel itself is small, recently renovated, and the rooms were super comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The location is just a 5-7 minute walk to London City Airport, which was so convenient for my travels. Plus, it’s only about a 15-minute walk to ExCeL Exhibition Centre, and the DLR or Underground making it easy to get to downtown London. Overall, a clean, cozy, and well-located hotel with fantastic service.

The hotel is very close to the airport, but thanks to the soundproof windows, you won’t hear much noise from planes or trains - it's very quiet in the the rooms! In bad weather, the 15-20 minute walk to the underground or DLR station might feel a bit uncomfortable. But don’t worry! There’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and the bus can take you to the station in just 4 minutes.

It is a nice hotel located very close to the City Airport. My room was spacious, very clean and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and I really appreciated free newspapers and magazines.

Everything was great, I would only suggest to remove The “Holy” Bible from the room or ask the guests their religious beliefs in advance. I am not a Christian and the last thing I want to have next to my bed is the Bible. I always get very scary nightmares when Bible is close to me.

The location to LCY can't be beat. And thank goodness because one of checked bags decided to stay an additional night in Amsterdam. Being at this location made it easy for me to be reunited with my bag the following day. Each time I am at this hotel, I always have a wonderful experience, especially since I am greeted with a warm welcome. The staff are exceptional, especially those working in the bar/dining/lounge area. Love the breakfast selections! My room was clean, comfortable, and inviting. A great location to spend some time relaxing.

The size of the ice cream serving! I wanted more than that. But seriously, there isn't anything I have to complain about with this property. It's in a great location, great staff, and pretty good food!

My room

While I was staying there I obviously dropped my passport somewhere in the room I was notified this by a member of staff I informed them that I would collect it the next day, when I stopped to collect it, there was no facility to store the passport, I would have to come later in the day, was not able to do so as I was travelling, I emailed the hotel to return my passport to the address in the back of my passport, that was 6 weeks ago not had my passport has been stolen by a member of staff, I’ve reported to HM Customs when they retrieve I will be pressing charges

Having the cleaning staff vacuuming while we were eating later lunch in the lounge area theN mopping the floor was unacceptable as a guest. Bar area staff member picking up rubber mates and putting on a trolley then touching the bar service without washing her hands. Unhygienic!!! Breakfast time staffing standing in a circle chatting about matters that have nothing to do with work, so guests had to walk through them to go to the lifts.

A very reasonable price for something next to an airport booked the same day. Shower was consistent, room was clean, plenty of pillows and bed comfy. The room temperature changed to what we set it to.

We booked a room for 2 people and got 1 shower-size towel, they probably would have given us another one if we asked but we were too tired and just shared. Breakfast was £15 so we didn't get it. The bathroom had glass walls which people might not like if their relationship boundaries don't include seeing each other on the toilet. Also the shower sprayed water outside its partition wall so we had to use the hand towel to clean up the floor so we could pee in the night without putting shoes on. Would be a lot better if they put a sliding door on the shower. Also minor peeve but if you had the air con/heating on, the bright light on the control box stayed on all night.
