The staff is kind of rude. Specially the one serving breakfast. Also, the elevator was constantly out of service.

Slightly confusing of how to access the hotel as it now seems to be part of hotel garibaldi blu but reception made all clear. Room was decent size. Great location. Walkable to sights and only few mins from the train station.

The smallest shower I’ve ever seen in my life. I had to leave shower door open and lean out to get shampoo etc as literally no room to turn or bend down. Slightly hard bed but slept fine.

Difficult to find,neighbours knew Garibaldi Blue hotel but not Rosso 23 (same hotel!). Very good breakfast but extra 5.50 for an omelette seems unnecessary.

We liked the overall style of the hotel. It was dark and medieval throughout the common areas. This was in keeping with the age of the building. We liked our large room overlooking the plaza and the church. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given a heater when we were cold on our second night as only air conditioning available at the time of year late April. The shower was strong with plenty of hot water and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Toiletries were well supplied. We loved the breakfasts. Great supply to suit all tastes. Also there was a good supply of gluten free products, on request, for my coeliac husband.

We were aware of the noise levels from the square before we arrived. And it was indeed extremely noisy. We used ear plugs and we were fine. Do not expect a nights sleep if you are at the front of the hotel, without using ear plugs. You will also hear the church bells starting at 7am even with the ear plugs. But this did not cause us any problems. We didn't like the position of the shower head at the centre over the bath. We prefer it at one end. Also there was a shower curtain whilst we prefer a screen.

The location of the Hotel Rosso23 is excellent. It is a short walk from the train station but a little hard to find as it also goes by the name of Garibaldi Blu and the name at the door is very understated. It is centrally located and an easy walk to the sights - Duomo, Academy Gallery, and Ufizzi. The breakfast was very nice and had a selection of Italian foods and pastries as well as eggs and bacon. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and spoke both Italian and English which was very helpful to us.

The room that we had was tiny (Classic Double) as was the shower.

The location is very good, there is a restaurant downstairs, you can enjoy the night, the hurried people, the church and the square. You can quickly return to the hotel after the meal, and it is very safe. The room was quiet. The staff was very professional and made the check-in process very smooth. The room is also well cleaned. Breakfast was great! Breakfast was a real surprise.

The decorative paintings in the room seem to be inspired by ancient sculptures, but with its eyes fixed on the pillow, my sleep becomes full of history

The breakfast was some of the best food I had throughout my whole vacation. The staff was amazing and helped me make dinner reservations at the best restaurants. The location is ideal - a six minute walk from the train station and in the center of Florence. Everything is walkable by 15 minutes.

It was literally a long and confusing route to my room, felt a bit like a maze and could definitely trigger claustrophobia a bit. I would probably stay there again though.

Excellent location for city access. Stylish hotel. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed..Will definitely return.

Bedroom slightly compact hence 9 score instead of 10.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was great. Location was phenomenal.

This is not necessarily a derogatory comment, but rather to manage expectations. I expect small accommodations in Europe. However the room was very small, bed pushed up against the wall. Had to step down from where the bed was down to the entryway then back up to the bathroom. There wasn't any place to put a toothbrush and. a razor on the sink either, no shelf.
