December 2024

Me and my friend checked in on Saturday, 1st of December, until Monday. We stayed in room 210 . The stay and staff were amazing, but the room was not very nice for us the only reason this was the heater never worked so the room was cold and qe was atvthe back on the hotel so the was loads a noise from bottle bins been empted the fan on most the night it was a very noise area to rest I would not book for that room again. The bed was comfortable, and the room was lovley and clean. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were very nice.

The room because of the noise in the back of the hotel that all .

The Legends hotel surprised me positively. The location is great close to Brighton Pier. Room located on the top floor with direct sea view. Lovely comfortable bed. Bathroom was tiny however the shower rainfall head and a firm water pressure made showers pleasant. Restaurant /cocktails bar with friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Bonus a club downstairs with good music and a dance floor friendly for all : singles, 🌈 and 👫🏻 couples. Highly recommended. Definitely planning to come back again!

I liked it all but if I would have to choose perhaps no proper wardrobe in the room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Checking in was very easy and a lift to all floors. My double room with partial sea view was very comfortable and a good size. Clean loo with walk in shower that was hot and powerful with toiletries provided. Tea and coffee facilities available. Breakfast was great with a good vegetarian option. The bar was open late for residents and great cabaret shows every night.

Needed ear plugs (which were provided) as a bit noisy but to be expected on the front with a bar downstairs. A fridge in the room would have been nice and some complimentary water. Shower head could have done with descaling.

Great location. Easy check in/check out. Comfy beds, Friendly staff, and easy/fun entertainment given that the hotel rooms are connected to a bar and night club if you so choose to go. Appreciated that there were earplugs provided if one is sensitive to noises when sleeping given that there’s a bar and night club at street level and in the basement (though neither myself or my partner needed them. We slept great!).

There were only a couple things that were a bit off with the room. The floor lamps lamp shade was a little broken, and the wall light between the windows didn’t work and looked to have a broken light bulb in it with a couple pistachio shells next to it.

The Legends team does a good job at running a hotel alongside a high-profile and well-liked Brighton gay pub and club. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Rooms aren't huge but are practical with all the facilities you'd expect for the price. The seafront location (providing great views from some rooms) is a real draw-card, and very convenient to central Brighton and the local bars and restaurants of Kemptown. Overall, it's an attractive option for LGBTIQA+ travelers, but not to the exclusion of others.

If you stay at Legends, you have to realise that its bar (including drag shows) and basement club may carry on into the early hours of the morning, especially at weekends. That may be the point of staying for some guests. Either way, even on the top (4th) floor, the throb of bass speakers will be distant - but audible, nonetheless. Ear plugs are provided...

Beautiful room in a fabulous location. Friendly and helpful staff. The option to buy a parking permit was a bonus. Would have been 10/10 if not for the noise issues noted below. It feels a shame to knock the score down for something out of the hotel's control, but it really did have an effect.

The room was incredibly warm. However we couldn't sleep with the windows open due to the noise. The hotel helpfully provided earplugs (thank you) but these only took the edge off and it was still very difficult to sleep. A real shame (and not the fault of the hotel) but it really was incredibly loud and seemed to vibrate through the hotel. I'm not a light sleeper and I really struggled. The music eventually stopped around 4am and after that I slept like a baby :)

Staff where helpful and friendly couldn't ask more or less from them. Breakfast was amazing loved it never had something so nice.

My room wasn't the most cleanest of the things, I found dust ontop of the desk/ wardrobe and also on the bathroom light. Cobwebs heavily over the lamp shade. Shower was wierd if I wanted it freezing cold I had enough water come out but as soon as it was placed to warm half the amount of water coming out cut off. The tiles by the mirror where dirty and the door frame for the bathroom had an odd brown mark down it. The kettle proved had a cable that was to short for the desk leading me using it on the bedside wich is far from safe.

In front of the coast and I could see the sea from my bed. The room is small but there are tea/coffee, a ketle and cups. And iron, hair dryer ( though the dryer in my room did not work)

Shower water was weak. I did not feel it reaches and washes to my legs. But shower head was fixed and i could not wash my body well. I was alone and brought heavy suitcases and bags. But nobody helped to bring them. Several male staffs in the bar just watched me. It was hard to bring them from the bus stop as well because it's uphill from the bus stop to the hotel.

Lovely room, lovely view! Quiet and very clean and comfy. Hot water aplenty and well laid out. Staff very helpful and brekkies is just fabulous with VERY cheerful and friendly service thankyou. Morning tea on the terrace, perfect!

Need a shelf / rack in the shower!! Nowhere to place shampoo etc ( room 105) and the floorboards in the doorway /ensuite were very squeaky, fortunately it's above the bar!! Lol. Not a criticism at all, just observatiions.

I have visited Legends countless times for drinks and entertainment, and love the seafront terrace and basement disco, but this was my first stay as I had lent my tiny flat up the road to relatives. It is Brighton's outstanding LGBT venue but on this occasion all I needed was a simple single room. This was a reasonable size, the shower room was tiny but everything worked and I would stay again if the circumstances were to arise. The room was reasonable value, but I have visited one or two of the larger, more expensive rooms at the front (mine was down the side but I could still see the sea) and during the week, at least, I think those are better value when you consider that two people will be sharing the price. But to be fair, you could say that about so many single rooms.

Breakfast was OK. It has recently gone up from £!0 to £12 and I think that is pushing it a bit. You get a choice of coffee, tea or juice and I think at that price it should be coffee/tea AND juice!
