A nice small hotel opposite the beach, some distance from the city center (about 20 minutes on foot), but on a very quiet street. Comfortable bed, fast internet, work desk, two large supermarkets just around the corner.

This is not a drawback, but rather a recommendation for guests - when booking, pay attention to the location of your room. The cheapest options are on the ground floor, but you will have some lack of privacy due to the proximity to the pool and the occasional hotel guests passing in front of your window.

The hotel is at a perfect, quiet location whether you're travelling for work, or for fun. It is very easy to access the highway from there, and everything you might need is within walking distance. There is sufficient space to work and the wifi seemed reliable. The stuff is really amazing: kind, and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, with a large variety, and an automatic espresso machine is also available on site. We didn't find the time to visit the pool, but it looked clean and pretty.

The bathroom could use a renovation to become more modern, but it stays up to par as it is, anyway.

Superior Studio on the second floor, identical to the pictures posted on the booking. The bathroom has a hair dryer, soaps, shower gels, and shampoos. A comfortable double bed is suitable for a taller person. TV, safe, air conditioner. The kitchen area-refrigerator, freezer, two hotplates, a cooker, all the necessary equipment, pots, and pans. Dining table, the sofa. Terrace with table, chairs, clothes dryer, overlooking the pool and the sea. Quiet area, no noise. Cleaning every second day. Melitti Hotel is located in an ideal place! To the center, you have half an hour walk. On the way to the center, you have many restaurants if you don't want to go all the way to the old town. A larger supermarket is only 100,200m from the accommodation, a 5-minute walk. Transfers Center - accommodation: 6e. Accommodation-main bus station: 8e. The Melitti Hotel is about an hour away from Heraklion airport. Bus transfer Rethymno-Heraklion: 7-8e per person. Bus transfer Rethymnon-Chania: 7-8e per person. The mentioned rides last about an hour in one direction. Experience Crete itself as an island: phenomenal! A real Greek island which adorns the old town with alleys and so many beautiful details. Cobblestones, old houses, pink flowers, fresh fish. Restaurants 10-15e, sometimes per person, sometimes even for two. Follow google reviews. Excursions are from 25e (Elafonisi Beach) and more. The weather was over 30 degrees every day. Sometimes clouds come by, but don't let them surprise you. Rain is rare on the island, and you get a nice color even when it's cloudy.

The staff was very friendly and most importantly helpful. The distance of the hotel from the city is too far if you want to walk, however there are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. Most of the closer restaurants have better value from the ones in the city. The children enjoyed the pool extensively!

The sofa bed was a bit stiff, certainly stiffer than the bed mattresses. We asked for a second key because half of us wanted to take a nap, but we were told that they were not available. Which meant we had to wake someone to get back to our room. For a room which can accommodate four people I think at least two keys should be provided.

We had a family room which was spacious and nice. The hotel staff were really friendly, especially Anna, she helped us with renting a car and gave us some tips on the way. Cleaning service were excellent. Very close to the beach and the local bus stop. Easy to take the bus into town. We loved our stay.

The shower curtain is way too short so make sure to not have anything on the floor, it will be soaking wet immediately. The pool closed att 8 pm, a bit sad when you wanted to take a quick drive into the pool after you've been to town in the evening.

Anna on reception was very welcoming. The apartment was large with a good kitchen area which was well equipped, sofa (bed) and dining table. The beds were 2 singles, but comfortable and the patio was a great size too. The pool looked nice but small, however we didn't use it. The breakfast was great value for €8. And we liked the area, as it was quieter than the port, which was a 20/25 minute walk away.

The shower was small so it felt like the curtain was attacking you, lol!

Location was good close to beach. Long walk into city takes 30 to 40 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Can't comment on pool as I didn't use. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. Rooms are great and beds very comfortable. Very good communication via email as I had concerns over my late arrival from airport.

The lack of parking nearby. The Melitti has parking available at 10 euros per night which over the week can bump up the costs considerably. Just be careful with parking if arriving late.

- the reception desk could be open longer (e.g., from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.) - parking a bit expensive - there could be a sweeper with a dustpan in the rooms (there was a lot of sand after returning from the beach, and the room was cleaned every two days)

From the moment of booking the Melitti Hotel were at pains to make sure my every need was catered for. Rather than just a dry social media interaction this establishment backed up the communication with effective and supportive help throughout the tenure of my booking and stay. I would definitely visit again as the quality was high at an affordable rate.

Staff was very kind and nice. They recommend lot of activities and possibilities to do. Great location, close to supermarket & beach and lot of bars and 20-30min walk till historic center, in which we absolutely felt in love with. Rooms was nice and clean and you can choose how often you want to clean your room by staff. Very nice stay near Mili Gorge what was fantastic. For sure, gr8 choice for reasonable price.

Really small shower, but its working. Breakfast can be more loca productsl and warm(eggs, sausage, bacon was cold)They are not preparing breakfasts on hotel. But we was satysfied.
