Brilliant family room with a separate little room with twin beds separate from the main double room. Other rooms booked by our party were also excellent - spacious clean and comfortable. I missed breakfast as had to leave early, but other people in our party enjoyed theirs!

Nothing - err. Apparently I need to write more to submit the review! Apparently the cooked breakfast service was a little slow ~25min. Normally not an issue at all but we had places to be - breakfast was good though when it arrived :-)

Splendid location with outstanding views. Great sea facing rooms. Modern facilities in an historic building gave great atmosphere. The friendly nature and care of the staff with help to carry cases to the rooms added to the stay. One of the best places to stay in Aberdyfi. It made our stay there. The food was excellent and well served.

The cutlery could have been put in containers or placed on the table. I believe that so many places have an over reaction to Covid and use too much disinfectant so that the tables become sticky. In earlier times it might have been due to lack of wiping food away. Now, I believe, it is due to too much cleansing!! We had food at many different times. Sometimes the service was slow. I realize that they were busy.

The room we stayed in was in dire need of decorating and wasn’t spotlessly clean ,dirty light switches ,marks on the walls carpet not hoovered and wall paper hanging off the wall in the bathroom. We also found packets of sugar and coffee wedged into the old sash windows like they were holding them shut but secondary glazing was covering this. The window ledges in between the glazing were really dirty.

Booked for my husband. Who said hosts were friendly. The twin room provided for a solo traveller was very nice with a beautiful sea view. Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was extra but worth the money. Would happily stay again. Also went the extra mile when they agreed to post my phone charger back to me when I realised I had left it behind.

Bed was a little soft. Also, and this is just a polite suggestion, the stair carpet in the communal area could do with either a clean or replacement as it's the first thing you see.

Location was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and service was excellent. Although it was an over bath shower rather than a cubicle, it was powerful and the electric heater in the bathroom was fast to warm up.

Only two tea bags were provided so we needed to purchase more. Would have preferred mugs to cups. Wardrobe door needs attention as it was not fixed to the runners.

A lovely sea view from our room. The inn is quaint but cosy and has everything you need for a comfortable night with the family. Air con was a welcome bonus! Friendly staff which always makes for a nice welcome.

The rooms are fairly modern in decor but a little worn in places, travel cots would be a good option to offer.

We feared about the noise, but that turned out not to be a problem at all. We had room 2, above the entrance, and there are all wooden floors. Our floor made a lot of noise, so we were affraid of noise from above. We didn't hear much, not from the pub and not from above. The room was spacious, with great views on the harbour. Nice bathroom too.

Did not have breakfast, but dinner was very nice and enough choice on the menu. The room was a lovely large room, well it was two rooms in one with a Jack and Jill bathroom system. The floor boards were very creaky though. The view from our room was fantastic, lovely see view, and we did get a little bit of sun during our stay in Feb. Room is on a main road so traffic can be heard quite late and early in the morning. We were very lucky to be able to park the car on the road not far from the hotel for free.

Creaky floor boards in room, every time you walked around they would creak, but it is an old building. Unfortunately after we went to bed I guess the staff and some customers moved to the restaurant area beneath our room to finish their drinks. It sounded like they were just outside our door talking very very loudly, and constant. In the end my husband went downstairs to see what was going on and how long it was going to continue as it was pretty quite downstairs when we left after dinner and drinks. Everyone must have left just after that as it went quite.

From the moment we stepped through the door we were greeted with a warm welcome,staff were very friendly,helpful and chatty.Dave the manager went above and beyond in making our stay so lovely and comfortable,he even got my strange mix and match breakfast request spot on where most places fail miserably. The rooms were spacious with everything that you need,beds were lovely and comfortable and we had a lovely sea view. We ate a lot in the restaurant and the food was lovely,great value,didn't have to wait long for our food. Will choose The Dovey Inn again for sure if we revisit Aberdovey.

The view was fantastic. Couldn't fault it and it made other parts seem better. Room was lovely and spacious and had a ac unit to control the temp of the room. Was lovely.

The room was a little messy with stains up a couple of the walls, the toilet roll was 3/4 used when we got in, the radiator on the wall wasn't straight and general tidiness. There were tiles and what looked like paint pots in the hallway for the entire weekend clearly not used, I couldn't comprehend why someone wouldn't just move them away until needed in a cupboard or something, But retrospectively wasn't that bad.
