Me & my boyfriend stayed here for our anniversary & we enjoyed it. we stayed for 2 nights for $470. The location was great, got a high-floored room so the view was great too. Room service was quick & efficient & the room was very clean. staff is friendly. No hidden fees, check in was a breeze since we paid in advance.
No mini fridge, was a bit of an inconvenience since we did have food & stuff that we had to eat or get rid of so it doesn’t spoil & stink up the room overnight. One of the pillows on the bed had a dark mark on it, we requested more & they gave us plenty so it was no big deal. Not really soundproof so we could hear everything outside our door. housekeeping constantly knocked on our door, regardless of the do not disturb/clean sign outside on the doorknob. The curtain separating the bathroom & bed area wasn’t there, & the sing was a little clogged. Wish breakfast was included but it’s affordable. If you have problems with smells, I would recommend going for a bigger room like a suit because you can smell everything someone is doing in the bathroom.

Location was great. There were many stores and cafes around the hotel. We stayed Family Connect room which was perfect with two teenagers. Our AC wasn’t working but they came right away to reset it.
Our room smelled like a cat litter box… I think sewer? I opened our window every time when we came back to the room to get fresh air. The kids room sed fine.

The Hotel has self check in at the lobby check in kiosks. This streamlines the check in process. There is an attendent to help with any issues you may have with self check in. Upon check out just drop the electronic key in a checkout box. it was all very easy. The staff are all very helpful, approachable and friendly. Then Rooms aee snall but appear larger and are clean and comfortable. There is also a rooftop restaurant and fitness facility that i didnt use.
No mini fridge in the room. However, Everything that was in the room was working, clean and in good order. The 4th floor lobby elevator area is not as inviting as i think it could or should. The flow, looks and feel of it is odd. i mention it because myself and others exiting the elevators were confused which direction to go. Some of the common areas are showing age but are maintained. This hotel is very good value dor location and facilities compared to similar NYC Hotels.

Our view from the queen room (with a view) was actually quite spectacular. The size itself is also a good bit larger, which to be honest really drives the value up. The bed, like all their other beds, are quite comfortable (blanket may be a little on the smaller side for two however). You'll never have an issue finding a taxi outside, and it's a quick bus ride to Times Square, or the Port Authority terminal for the subway. Hudson Yard is also a short walk away - and that's a nice spot to go through as well. PS. Use that towel warmer rack! Quite a nice thing after a shower - especially on a cold day.
First and foremost. If the luggage bot they have there isn't working - you're not storing your luggage there early unless you check in early (and that costs $50 USD) - and the luggage bot has NEVER been working when I've stayed there. Of the three times we've stayed at this hotel, twice we've had access card issues on check-in. We get cards, go up, don't work. Go down, get new cards, go up, still don't work. Go down, get someone to come up with some sort of tool and *then* it works. Not too great if it's your wedding day, and your new wife would very much like to get out of her dress to use the restroom ASAP.

For starters, the location of this hotel is just about as prime time as you can get. Times Square is quite literally a 5 minute walk with a whole bunch of great stores to spend all of your money at (personal recommendation is to visit IT'SUGAR). The room size is just enough for exactly what you should be doing in a hotel, SLEEPING and then LEAVING to go back out into the world. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever tried. The adjustability really added a great plus to my sleeping experience. The air conditioning/heating in the room was also very high quality and had an easy to use touchpad screen.
The way to get to the rooms is so confusing that you will probably get lost for upwards of an hour hunting down your abode for the stay. While the staff was very nice and helpful when they needed to be, nobody had a really great explanation of how to reach said room, we only found it based on a nice nudge from a random hotel guest and our big brains. The hotel is a very active bar/restaurant/entertainment venue on weekends and other days as well, this was not too huge of an issue but should be pointed for unsuspecting travelers. Water pressure in some showers may not be up to many peoples standards.

The hotel is located in the hip and lively Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, walking distance to Times Square, The Vessel, Broadway en the Javits Center. Rooms have a nice view out on the city but aren't super spacious. (although that's nyc for you). Nice gym option in the hotel.
We couldn't store our luggage for the day after checking out so we had to go to a different place across the street where they could keep them. Ended up costing us about 40 dollar for half a day. When you pay that money for a room, storing your luggage should be a free service that is offered by the hotel.

Initially, I had selected a skyline view, but after arriving and then seeing the view, I decided to upgrade to a Corner Queen room. This upgrade was a fantastic last-minute decision as it gave a great view of the Hudson River, Hell's Kitchen, plus the buildings to the north&north/east of 42nd. The location of Yotel is also great, as I found a couple restaurants nearby within 2 blocks on 10th, plus a deli (salads, drinks), and also a Target-store (fruits, drinks, or other incidentals). Yotel's location on 42nd puts it very close to popular locations like Time Square and Broadway, and if you are willing to walk, you could reach a few sites like the Empire State Building or the south-side of Central Park, or further depending on how far you are willing to walk. For those of you that prefer the subway, or need to go farther, the Port Authority is on 42nd between Yotel and Time Square. The complimentary Breakfast was a great start to the day, and had what I thought was an odd choice of breakfast foods, but turned-out to be a great choice to start-off energetically, and not lethargic.
Roof Top restaurant seemed to be a poor choice to go to, as I found the food to be double-priced and half-portioned compared to what I found at street level restaurants on 10th. Basically, I left with the need to go find some food elsewhere (a meal after a meal). On the plus side, the hostess was helpful in finding a table, taking away the plates, and asking how was the meal, but on the negative side, the server may have been having a bad day or something and only appeared basically 2x... (1) to take the order, and (2) to ask to get paid - this effort was not worth the recommended tip on the bill.

Great location to venture into the city. Busses going crosstown (M42) and up/downtown (M11) 1 minute from hotel entrance, subway station (Port authority) is appr. 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Some nice bars and restaurants in the vicinity. View from room (Queen size bed with city view; 17th floor) towards Hudson river was great!
Due to the size of the room, storage space is at a bare minimum. Also: no possibility to attach private media devices (e.g. laptop) to the TV. It would not be a big effort to provide the television with an HDMI connection option, which has been a standard feature in many other hotels for several years.

The room was small but with everything and with a nice view (we were at the 22nd floor). They changed towels every day and makes the bed. The position was good for going around the city even if the street was very noisy and a bit dangerous (but this is true for many streets in NYC). We didn't have to pay any extra fees at our arrival, everything was included! We booked with an offer and we had a very good price, and for that price it was an overall nice stay.
We could not use self check-in and check-out with the machines because it wasn't working. The structure is modern but it would need some adjustments. The worst part is the bathroom, because there is a door but it's partially open to the room and you could hear everything... Not very comfortable even if you are intimate with the other person.

The self check-in and check-out was seamless.it was a new process for me but it was easy to follow. The elevators worked well the was no long wait even with 27 floor. I liked the fack that I could use the fitness center. The cabins were small but still sufficient no need for the dead space. My experience was way better than expected. I saw a number of reviews what had me worried but I enjoyed my stay. I will definitely stay here again.
