The hotel has the best location. The functionality of everything in the hotel is superb. The rooms are small but neat and the windows can be opened, hence the room can be aired. We had a wonderful stay.

The restaurant had a very limited menu and the food tasted average.

Staff and cleaning was perfect

First night sleep with a little fan because air conditioning doesn’t work and rooms was sold out and can’t change room until the next day.

Staff were lovely. Guy in reception with peaky blinders cap was particularly helpful as were Jot and Jane. However ALL staff were V helpful and friendly. Full of good advice. Pizza slice place on the corner. Subway entrance around the corner along with delis and little shops and bars. Well situated. Would use again.

No complaints really. I expected to wait for a lift ? It's a tall bldng with 4 lifts so if youre going out peak times expect to wait. But I'd expect that. In my six days waited no more than a few mins. Make sure you have the FULL address for this hotel when getting a cab - saying Hilton Doubletree Times Sq West won't be enough -Will need to say 350 - 40th street.

The hotel is very close to the subway and Times Square. The location is good if you are interested in upper Manhattan walking. I liked the security of needing to have your room key to utilize the elevator. The staff were really friendly. When it comes to New York City and other large cities I was not expecting a large room so it worked out really well for me if you’re expecting to have loads of room, then you’re gonna have to shell out a lot more cash for the plaza.

The entrance to the hotel could be better identified. The mattress was just OK probably time for an upgrade. Overall, I would stay here again and just an FYI, save yourself the money and use the subway to and from the airport it’s three dollars versus 100.

Great location, short distance to multiple locations, quiet area in night time, clean rooms, renovated bathrooms. Welcoming message on our TV screen was a nice touch!

Overall I had a good experience, but here are some suggestions for improvement: The elevators were always busy and hard to get! I would have preferred if they had a warmer blanket on bed during the winter time. Check in time is at 3 pm which is very late, it could be at 2 pm to be more convenient. And some of the Reception staff could be more welcoming!

Upon arrival, the systems were down, and there were a lot of people in the lobby trying to check in. The staff was calm and very friendly during the challenge. Although our room was not ready, they offered a secure area to store our bags so we could go out and explore the city. The hotel was perfectly located with an easy walk from the train station and to Times Square.

As in many other cities, open marijuana use is permitted. Wherever you go, theater, restaurants, or shops, the smell is very heavy for those not used to it. It may take a few more visits for me to get used to the smell in the air when walking around the city.

Location, service, room was comfortable

Last minute notice of water being turned off for maintenance from 9-5- not good for those traveling for leisure- that’s a major inconvenience.

We stayed here in April 2023 for 7 nights we returned a family of 4 for 8 nights this July 2024 we had a premium view room on floor 30, the room had 2 double beds, a toilet walk-in shower, fridge coffee maker, wardrobe tv and lockers with a secure safe. The beds are made daily and all rubbish is taken away the bathroom was replenished with soap and toilet paper. There was an ice machine on our floor as well great advantage we asked for extra towels and it was never an issue. Extremely friendly staff on arrival and lovely bottles of water and cookies the luggage man was so accommodating and told us of nearby places nice for families to eat. On leaving our security deposit was back in my account before we even reached the airport. It is a great location l suggest families go a few blocks down to the "Big Apple grocery store" for amenities for the week. The lovely deli has fresh fruit dairy and veg but plenty of pizza and other food facilities so close by the hotel is 5 minutes walk from all the hustle and life of Times Square. Subway station directly across the street from the hotel ideal for all the major New York attractions, You see other reviews talking about the lifts ok might be a little slow at peak times but in a city of over 8 million I'd expect to wait a little so be patients its a mear few minutes. Would absolutely stay here again

We did provide a 5 dollar tip daily to the woman cleaning our room we would have liked the fact that 4 of us were in the room to at least get 4 coffee cups for the machine instead of 2 and the last two days none :[ After spending 3 days in Voko around the corner from Double Tree the rooms do feel cleaner as the floors are all wood so there is a lot less dust we really didn't like the carpet floors old and worn. The air con constant can be very loud and annoying but cools the room fast so doesn't need to be left on constant

The hotel location was convenient, within walking distance of Times Square. The rooms on the higher floors offered a good view of parts of NYC's skyline. Hotel staff was friendly and courteous.

AC in the room did not work for the first 2 days, hotel technician did come by 3 times but was not able to fix the issue, we ended up switching rooms on the 3rd day. After taking shower, all the floor leaks out on the bathroom floor making the bathmat wet...had to use extra towels each time to whip the floor.

The staff were lovely and the bed was comfy. The pillows were superb down filled pillows. Incredibly comfy my favourite pillows ever. We were on the 22nd floor and there was little to no noise which was great. Tele worked and had more features than most hotels. The WiFi was reliable unlike many other hotels I’ve stayed in. For what you pay it’s a fantastic stay!

The room was very small and dark because the main light automatically shuts off after a minute or so and we couldn’t get it to stay on. The bathroom mirror light was flickering on and off very fast like it was going to die but wasn’t a big deal. It’s so busy and the staff team downstairs is very small it feels like they are overloaded with guests and so you can’t really speak with them like in other places. Wanted to ask about the gym and bar but they were constantly bombarded with guests. Would have been handy to have been given an information sheet with where the bar is and facilities within the hotel. Always people waiting at the desk so didn’t fancy queuing to ask.
