I spent one week with my wife. This hotel is really in the the heart of the City. You can reach easily whatever you want by walking. For instance, Times Square is less then 10 minutes, Bryant Park 15 minutes and so on. There are a lot of restaurants/pizzeria nearby. About pizzeria I suggest Don Antonio, for coffees Grind and Dallas BBQ for steaks, burgers, chicken wings etc. Close to the hotel there is the main subway station Port Authority 24/7 for all the City's destinations. We came with public transportation subway line E from Jamaica station because we arrived at the JFK airport. The hotel was extremely clean, lovely staff very helpfull welcomed us with a big smile. The room was very clean with comfortable mattresses and amazing Manhattan's view. Breakfast a la cart at the Serafina Lobby's floor. For sure we high recommend this hotel to everyone.

The location was amazing. Very centrally located so it was easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. 10 minute walk to broadway which was our main destination! The staff was amazing and gave us exact directions and subway/bus information when we were leaving.

My only complaint is that the shower was lukewarm and not at all hot. I called the desk and they said it was backed up and they were fixing the issue, so I tried again an hour later and it was not fixed so I went to bed and tried again in the morning and ended up taking a lukewarm shower because it still wasn’t getting hot.

House keeper helped me a lot and they did great job

The bathroom is kind of disaster after showering, the ground was wet even they put a “soft” pipe to prevent water coming out. The bed was good, but the shelf of the bed is kind of dangerous. End of the bed comer is too sharp. The receptionist could be more friendly when people check out.

This was a Broadway show trip so the location on 42nd St was perfect. The staff -- from front desk to housekeeping -- were all friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but serviceable and clean. We've had issues with waits for elevators in other hotels in NYC. At the Pod we never waited more than a few seconds for an elevator. Property felt safe and secure. Lots of light in the room -- the view looked out onto 42nd Street and 9th Ave, but there was never any street noise in the room.

While the small size of the room is no surprise (the name should prepare you), and the layout makes efficient use of space, there should be a landing spot at least for one suitcase and/or shelves/drawers to place folded clothes. And -- and this is a major pet peeve for me -- there is bedside table on only one side of the bed, so my spouse had nowhere to put glasses, phone, etc. The person on the the wall side of the bed has to literally climb to the foot of the bed to get out.

The location is fantastic, very close to Time's Square but still quiet and safe at night. Lots of great restaurants and stores near by. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and comfortable and the bar that has an outdoor area was lovely touch to a very small hotel. Great value for money and we will definitely be staying here again.

While the rooms were lovely decorated, comfortable and clean they are very small, but for the price and location you can't complain. It can get noisy at night from the hotel bar and if you are planning to get a drink there don't.... it is over priced, not best service and the drinks are terrible and served warm. However none of these things would stop us from staying here again.

The value paid considering the location and structure offered is great. It is near everything. Another plus is that even though the hotel it is in the middle of a very busy area, the rooms aren't noisy at all. Staff is friendly, check in and check out were fast and easy. Rooms were clean. The hotel is new and with a nice decoration.

The rooms are really small, so for two people or a longer stay might not be the most comfortable option. I missed having a fridge in the room. The hotel don't have much facilities (gym or comfortable space to work or to have some drinks). The breakfast is very poor and not worth it. However, there is a market around the corner that is great. I think it is a missed opportunity not have a nice rooftop in the hotel, since the building it is really tall and in the middle of the most busy area in NYC.

This is my go-to hotel when in NYC. It is very clean, modern, and the prices are great. It is located near major transportation and shopping centers and the area feels safe at night to me. Front desk staff is always patient and helpful. Especially Sahar. I arrived super tired and she got me in early and was very polite and helpful, despite how busy it was. They also do baggage holding which is great to squeeze in an extra few hours in the city. And check-out is at 12, later than many other hotels. Rooms also very quiet and so are your neighbours.

No fridge or microwave available on site as far as I can tell, which means you waste food as a solo traveler. I'd like to save money with leftovers, considering the inflation. Loud club music at 8 am in lobby because of that Serenity club-lounge. Wish there was a lounge space for guests to do work like at other Pod. Long lines at front desk almost always. Half of the time only 1 person is working front desk.

Needed more storage for clothes. I'm not a fan of putting my stuff on the floor. I think adding a solid shelf on top of rack where the safe is stored. Also adding 12 in solid shelves on both sides of stand could be helpful to add more storage but stay within foot print

The room was well located.

I didn’t like that the front lobby stuff charged my credit card the full price for four nights without my authorization instead of only the security deposit due to be returned if there was no damage to the room when I had already paid them online through your site using PayPal. I’m still waiting on my full refund. So that has to be rectified because I cant understand how one takes more ones than required from a customer.

The efficiency of the room. The bed comfort, mattress, plugs for all your needs and also a screen for each bed. Bathroom was small but super efficient as well. Room view outstanding.

Didn't appreciate for the rate paid, you had to request the day before the room to be cleaned.. what was that? Two or three days went by when we realized we had to request for the room to be cleaned, I mean we paid $260 a night plus taxes, also, it would have been nice for the breakfast to be included as well.
