Our second stay at the excellent Hotel Sauce. Close to bus stops and also to the river; a few steps from the Goya museum and the Cathedral and museum of Caesar Augustus are around the corner (do the three-site Roman walking tour, get tickets from the amphitheatre or Augustus museum - also includes the Gargallo Museum which we highly recommend for lovers of sculpture). Breakfasts at the Sauce are wonderful (the Tortilla is the best) and their coffee shop has homemade cakes (famous for it). El Tubo district is a few metres away - try El Balcon for proper Tapas and Raciones (huge, beware). Thanks to the lovely staff at Sauce for making our stay special again

This is a truly Lovely Hotel, perfectly located just around the corner of the Plaza del Pilar, and almost next door to the Goya museum. From the moment you walk through the door, you are met with a warm welcome, and the owners are very informative about Zaragoza. The Cafe in the Hotel is great, and you are spoilt for choice in what you can have for Breakfast. The room was very quiet, and spacious, with a very comfortable Bed. During our stay was the Fiesta del Pilar week long of amazing Music & Dance. A big Thank you to the owners of Sauce Hotel. :)

Amazing location and nice hotel there is a but to be aware of the hotel has on its first 2 floors a really, really popular with locals a really nice cafe and Patisserie the negative being that the hotel has forsaken any foyer or common area to relax in for 5 minutes... while you can't really book a breakfast included the instruction is that there are 'breakfast options available'.... there are and there is a wonderful little menu but it is a victim of it's own success and you can find yourself literally been in a very long queue to get breakfast! Worth it when you get it but if you prefer a breakfast included type accomodation this may not be it! Feels terrible to have anything negative to say because it is only about our expectations were different! What is on offer is really, very good 👍

on Sunday morning I really would have just liked to sleepily walk down to a breakfast room... we did but the place was packed with public for the great breakfast! we decided to leave and go look for alternatives as we had a half hour wait! There should really be a way of communicating from rooms to Cafe to reserve a time slot☝️

We loved everything about this friendly hotel. Neither that staff nor the location could have been better. Being able to come back to a lovley cafe or downstairs in the morning for a delicious breakfast was very nice. The hotel was so close to everything we wanted to see. And the windows are "magic". Open them and you can hear all the street noises which during Fiestas del Pilar were both loud and frequent but closed there was not a sound. Our friends were 2 doors down so we were able to be close.

The fact that we could not stay longer was our only regret.

Great location for historic district. This is an older building but with a modern refurbishment. Sadly the airport bus does not stop very near, an overpriced taxi is the easy option, or go to the train station and pick up a taxi there for less than 10 euros. Good coffee shop attatched to the hotel, offering snacks and breakfast almost all hours. The staff are helpful and have reasonable English. Our second visit and would happily return in future.

Links to airport need planning ahead. Car park available but in historic Quarter, narrow one way streets might add to your stress if bringing a car.

Our stay was fantastic, thanks to the exceptional communication and hospitality. The staff accommodated our last-minute early arrival, which was a huge plus. The rooms are small due to the building's age, but the renovated bathrooms and quality bed linens made it comfortable.

The shower door has a gap that can cause some water leakage—just keep the showerhead vertical to avoid it. The smaller room has no outside window. Parking on the street is tricky, but the hotel offers a very tight garage space if needed. Despite these minor quirks, the service made our stay truly memorable.

The rooms are large and comfortable. Very clean and the bathroom is clean and very neat. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They resolve reservation issue in a blink. The property is near every important monuments in the old city so it’s was perfect. Definitely I will stay again if I visit the city.

There is a lift in the building but if you have to take the stairs be careful they are a bit tricky at the end to the lobby area. My husband stumbled and almost fell down. And again the staff take care of him.

The location was excellent. From the moment we made the booking, the staff kept us informed until we arrived, with WhatsApp - well done!!! The hotel has an agreement with the parking close by, at reduced rate. Bed was very comfortable and room quiet.

No coffee, tea facilities in the rooms. Even though they do have their own cafe downstairs, it is all paid coffee. They said they upgraded our room to a bigger room, but it needs a little finishing off as it is not the same finish as the website photos and overlooks an inner court....but it was nice and quiet.

Everything! Clean and modern inside. Staff were so friendly and efficient. Family room at the top was very spacious and bright (but with electric shutters which completely blocked out the light when needed). Great location in the old town, but easy to drive to and parking almost next door (very tight to navigate underground car park but hotel staff help with this!). Brilliant cafe as part of the hotel.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

In the heart of the old town, walking distance to almost everywhere, this very cozy hotel building also had a cute cafe/patisserie downstairs that offers breakfast, brunch, coffee and dessert options. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, also the building was well maintained. The room had a warm and bright design, the bed was super comfy with variety of pillows. There was enough space and a pretty nice wardrobe and a safe to store your goods.

The only drawback was, as with most Spanish buildings of old times this one also lacked interior sound isolation so it was very easy to hear your neighbors when the talk, shower, watch TV or even open/close their door so I needed earplugs during the midday naps. Luckily nobody stayed up late so it didn't became an issue at nights.
