The staff at Auberge Saint Antoine is amazing. Starting from the early coordination between myself and the concierge, Frantz to the desk staff to the bellmen. They were all professional, courteous, and genuinely concerned that we were enjoying our stay. Our room (King, river view) was great looking out over the St. Lawrence. You should be aware that some of the rooms look out over a terrace which I expect is used when the weather is nice. It was chilly and wet while we were there in mid-April.

This isn't really what we didn't like. It is more of things to be aware of. When considering whether to have breakfast at the hotel, be aware it is expensive for what it consists of. So just be aware that there are great bistros (Mason Smith) nearby that are much more reasonable. Make no mistake the food at Chez Muffy was great (the best croissants we had in Québec City) but $35.00 was a lot given what the breakfast consisted of. Also, be aware that the hotel is located in the lower part of the city. The main part of the city (Chateau Frontenac, La Cittadelle, etc.) is located up a fairly steep hill that includes many stairs and/or climbing walks. To get to the main part of the city, a climb is involved.

The location is excellent. The staff is amazing ~ very courteous, genuine, engaging, professional and knowledgeable. Concierge is exceptional. The app and checkout super easy. The room was clean and well appointed. Good water pressure and good shower. The archaeological aspects of the property and the display of artifacts was extremely cool and very well done. We did not have a chance to eat at the restaurant, but it is absolutely stunning and unique. Have to go back !

While exclusive and extremely well run, the price per night was higher than expected when we were looking to visit. We believe now that the price was nearly appropriate when viewing the alternatives. Please replace the disgusting carpet in the bedroom !!

There are so many things to enjoy. The location is central, the staff is so helpful, the lobby decor is modern but comfortable and calming, the tea service is wonderful, breakfast at Chez Muffy is delicious, the beds are very comfortable, fantastic water pressure in the shower and the bathroom floors are heated- such a plus. They also provide a complementary bottle of water in the guest room. Outside the door of each guest room is a stone box where you can store your wet boots. We experienced a power outage in the city and staff provided flash lights to guests and were as helpful as possible.

The guest doors don’t always close on their own so be sure to pull them closed.

We thought the staff was excellent and mostly attentive of our needs. The staff assisting with getting our car every time we called for it were the best in the hotel. The desk staff was very attentive and helpful during our stay. The breakfast was outstanding along with the caring and helpful staff.

The housekeeping staff was not as focused on specifics such as coffee and bathrobes as we expected. The bar is warm and cozy but the staff is not as experienced as expected. Also the management of the bar was argumentative with an issue related to a drink that was ordered. We sent it back but management wanted to argue as to whether it should be taken off the bill after we spent over $140 on food and drink. It left a bad taste that colored our entire stay. Management at the bar needs to be retrained.

Wonderful location and overall a beautiful property. As with every Relais et Chateau hotel, the service was exceptional, the bedding, linens and bathroom products were fabulous. We also appreciated the use of local Quebec products in our room, such as tea and body lotion. The restaurant was top notch.

Although the property is not that old, our room was disappointedly a little tired and worn and needed a touch up. We also did not like the heating and cooling system. Our room was too cold and for two nights the staff tried without success to raise the temperature. It turned out that the system is centrally controlled and the whole hotel was set to only cool. Finally, the chief maintenance engineer informed us that we had to turn off the thermostat and they brought a portable heater to our room to finally raise the temperature.

Loved the historical artifacts displayed throughout the hotel. The staff was professional and friendly. They even gave us a beautiful SUV to use for the day at no extra charge! The food at Muffy's restaurant was amazing and the morning breakfast outstanding. We will definitely be using this as our hotel whenever we visit Quebec City. No need to look elsewhere.

They did not have there preserves that are served at the restaurant on sale. They had different ones. But, the restaurant did give us 4 complimentary tiny jars to bring home.

The hotel is in a great location off the main street of historical town. It's a lovely old building that has been renovated so it's comfortable. There's free bottled water and coffee/tea in the room and lovely treats each day. Turn down service was appreciated.

I was surprised the hotel does not ask clients if they want sheets and towels changed every day. Could be more ecologically minded. The shower was in a tub which was difficult to get into with a bum knee. The gourmet restaurant was ok, nothing super exciting given the great reviews I read and service at dinner, in the bar and breakfast was not very efficient. The Covid effect I suppose.

Absolutely beautiful hotel located right in the heart of Old Quebec City! We were doted on from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every single staff member we interacted with were absolutely amazing, always greeted with smiles. I’d love to give a special shout out to the concierge Franz- he is super knowledgeable about the area and so kind, willing to help any way he can. The bell hops were also phenomenal! We didn’t have to carry anything with them around. We definitely felt spoiled. Breakfast at Chez Muffy was great, Artefact bar was great. The room was spotless. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We will definitely be returning here next time we take a trip to Quebec. DO NOT HESITATE when booking this hotel, trust me! They also gave us homemade cookies at check out for our drive back home.. above and beyond!

Nothing!

I had researched this hotel before I booked it. It was a trading shop in the 1600s and rich in history. The owners have restored yet modernised the hotel. When they excavated the hotel they discovered heaps of artefacts from the 1600 to now. Most are on display around the hotel and every room has a small piece displayed on the door. Bathrobes and slippers, coffee and tea to heated flooring. The staff all so very helpful and friendly…..couldn’t do enough for us. Loved them. And the bartender in the artefact bar …..fantastic. Wifi awesome and lobby fireplace to die for. I cannot begin to tell you how much this hotel set us up for the perfect Quebec experience that it did, not in my wildest dreams.

I had to leave.

The room was truly exceptional. Expensive, but the post & beam construction and brick walls made it extraordinary.

I thought the breakfast was ok. Wines paired with the tasting menu were inferior. The local chardonnay expressed itself with a quality floral nose, but the body was light, and the finsh tasted like water. One of the dishes on the tasting menu was outstanding. One was awful. The other two were good. Overall, the food was subpar.
