Staff was friendly and helpful, and they speak English very well. Room was quite large and there were separate bathtub & shower. Well stocked minibar in room if you wanted a drink or snack. We were given 1 free drink ticket for bar downstairs! Turndown service was provided nightly & they provided a carafe of water & 2 little chocolates. We would definitely come back. 😁

The room felt a bit dark, it had black patterned carpet, black furniture & not a lot of overhead lighting, so if you dropped something it was challenging to find it. Also, the coffee maker in the lobby didn't make good tasting coffee, thankfully there was a Nespresso in our room.

The location is in the old section by the Port. Many restaurants and shops, easy access to the Funicular to get to the upper old quarter. Hotel is old building, but updated interior. Room was medium size, no extra soft seating, the minibar was well stocked- for a fee, robes, slippers, umbrella, ironing board, desk. Bathroom glasses were etched with room number! All very chic. Our room was quiet until 7am when the nearby construction started to pound in a piling! Close to the museum of Civilization, Hop on/off bus and cruise ships. Pretty covered back patio, parking lot out back. Pay for parking and pay for a lovely breakfast- 20.00 cost. Nespresso machine, juices and teas, quiche, eggs, yoghurt, variety of breads and rolls, cheese, ham, yoghurt, jams, granola. Only suggestion I gave to front desk was to add grab bars in bathroom to step into the deep tub shower. Turn down surface and nightly ice and ice water delivery too. Staff all very nice and able to speak English well. Good natured about my tries to speak French! I would stay here again in a minute.

Lack of grab bar in the tub shower? Room was not spacious, but it was well appointed and suited us just fine.

The hotel was in a perfect location, beautifully appointed, with exceptional staff. It was a wonderful experience. Staff are positive, professional, and very helpful, checking in with us about our stay and providing recommendations or making reservations when asked. The nightly turn down is an example of the quality of services provided and the breakfast was a good value.

It was an amazing hotel. The staff is incredible, always happy to help you with any questions about everything in Old Quebec City and beyond(activities, museums, restaurants...). The French /European breakfast is complete and very nutritious to start your day. The location is fantastic in the heart of Old Quebec City.

I like everything, but I am wondering if in the winter the outside parking is so convenient considering the large amount of snow that the city gets every year.

Very nice buffet. We only ate there once and arrived late. Saw they had quiche the following morning. Great location for walking directly to board our cruise or to explore Old Quebec.

The public areas were a little small. There were three small conversation areas to meet friends or enjoy a cocktail and all three were often in use.

Location is wonderful and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The coffee is free but is is not good. They use an espresso machine to make the coffee and it is subpar. The breakfast is expensive and subpar as well. We went to a coffee shop up the street to start the day.

For the price was a little disappointed that it wasn't included but it was good the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

We spent three nights in August. The location is very good, right in the heart of the lower end of Old Quebec City and within a 10-15 minute walking distance of just about every attraction in Old Quebec. The hotel is quiet, elegant and operated by friendly, helpful staff. The room was cozy. The bed and pillows are very comfortable! The shower was good, too; large, clean, with good water flow. There is complimentary coffee, espresso, cappuccino, etc. in the lobby in the mornings (although basic breakfast is extra). There is outdoor parking at the back, which is convenient and reasonably priced. We felt very safe at the hotel and in the neighborhood in general.

This isn't really a complaint, because we enjoyed our stay very much. However, as people who need fitness facilities while traveling we thought we should point out that the ones at Le Germain are very small and lightly equipped. There is just not enough room in the building to put more. We still made the best of it and had good workouts! Just be prepared to get creative with dumbbells. And make sure to get out and walk a lot or ride a bike in the beautiful neighborhoods around town.

What a great place to stay in Quebec. A beautifully presented hotel located close to the old quarter, restaurants & walks. Of course we were very happy to accept an upgrade & enjoy a lovely big room. There was a lounge relax & make yourself a coffee. Charming staff.

The staff were exceptional. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Theo, who checked us in and made amazing cocktails was lots of fun. We were celebrating our tenth anniversary and I had contacted the concierge about restaurants. Philippe was very helpful and made some great recommendations and made all the reservations for us. When we checked in we were told our room had been upgraded and when we got to the room we found a small gift and a handwritten note from the staff. Very classy.
