Large, clean and secure apartment. Comfortable beds. Convenient kitchen. Excellent water pressure in shower. Nice living area to relax in. Great location with reasonably priced parking a few minutes walk from apartment. Very quiet with dark rooms that made for excellent sleep. Many shops and restaurants nearby.

Check in was a bit confusing. It would help to have the building code sent in advance by at least a few hours so that travelers can be prepared. I had to stand out in the cold and call for the code as it had not been sent to me in advance. I was told I needed to provided my credit card details for a deposit before the code would be sent. I felt this should have been handled through the booking app in advance of arrival, especially as there was no front desk. That said, they resolved my issue quickly and immediately sent me the building code. This is nit-picky but there was a coffee pot but no coffee. One small package of coffee per night should be provided.

We stayed here for a week and were extremely impressed. The apartment was new, spacious, and clean. Best of all it was only a few meters from Old Quebec City, with a car park just 100 meters away. All the staff were very friendly and prompt with our requests. Any issues raised by previous guests, such as clothes hanging space, sharp edged bed frames and curtains for privacy had all been addressed. We won’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had trouble obtaining the code for the front door on the first night.

The location of Lofts de la Barricade exceeded my expectations. When I first selected the accommodations, I relied on a map to let me know how far the apartment was from some of the key locations I'd be visiting. I did not realize that just stepping outside my door onto the cobble stone street, would be the start of beautiful morning walks that took me past museums, art galleries, shops and beautiful buildings all on my way to the places I actually was walking towards. Really prime location for me!

I wish that the lofts had larger bars of soap than the thin ones that broke when I used them. Would have been great for an extra towel or two, as well as a few laundry pods (even for purchase on the floor) as when I did go to use the conveniently located laundry machine right outside my door, I realized I would have to find a store to buy laundry detergent, and it just never happened. Minor issues overall -- I'll just be more prepared next time.

Two baths was awesome. Great location within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Comfortable beds. Quiet space. Full kitchen.

Excellent location. Parking was close by. We needed a theee bedroom place for our family with theee couples and this was perfect. The beds were comfortable. It was very spacious and pretty with the exposed brick. The kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker.

The kitchen left a bit to be desired. We couldn’t find a sponge or towels until just before we left. There was no salt/pepper. No napkins. If you plan to use the kitchen, you will need to bring everything except the dishes/cups/utensils. There were three couches in the living room but no blankets or pillows. It was quite spartan in that regard.

Loved the location. We walked everywhere we went in town. The rooftop view of the Frontenac and the Aurora Silos was fantastic. We were also lucky enough to have fireworks to watch a few evenings. The two bedrooms are across a hall from each other and partioned by curtains only.

Think before you rent a car in this or any big city. Parking is a challenge. One evening, the lot we paid for was full. It is Public lot without reserved spaces. We needed to park somewhere else until parking was available and then move the car. If you are physically able, it is an extremely walkable city. Paying for a tour to Montmorency makes more sense than having a car you don't need sit in a parking lot all day.

We cooked most meals, the kitchen had what we needed including a dishwasher (though some items were plastic, this is to be expended in a rental). The apartment was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was excellent, very good water pressure in the shower. Comfy beds and cotton sheets. We had a view of a construction site but it was actually rather an interesting city scape.

This location is close to the Petit Champlain and port. Just know that to get to the rest of the city you must walk up a steep hill or pay to take the funicular. This is not a complaint, just something to know if you aren’t familiar with QC as it’s hard to tell from a map. We were traveling with an infant in a stroller and older parents so this was a consideration at times.

Very nice & clean, roomy, looked newly renovated, comfortable platform bed, wi-fi included. There is a kitchen in the room, ever though we didn’t use it. Ideal location, within walking distance to many places. Very close to pier 22. You can see the cruise ship at pier 30, but is far, walkable if you take your time. Do not follow Google Map walking instruction to pier 30 from here, the side gate is locked. Sense of security; both front door and room door are secured with access code, because no staff is on site. House keeping did missed a small water spot on the sofa, and cup marks on the coffee table. Not a problem for us, just want to point that out, since you asked.

Couldn’t figure out how to get TV channels. Maybe it was on the TV screen in French? Need instructions in English. Bathroom mirror can use better lighting for shaving and makeup. Need towel bar for drying hands. No room safe, a must have, but I can see if guest forget the code, there is no staff on site to open it. No drawers for clothes, not a problem for 1 or 2 night stay. Overall, still a very nice place to stay.

The loft was a very nice size, had two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, two well appointed bathrooms, a nice kitchen and living area. It was immaculately clean and even smelled new, the staff was responsive to questions by phone, and the location was perfect. It is a very short walk from the middle of town, next door to The Museum of Covilazation, and across the street from a very reasonably priced parking garage. There’s also tons of restaurants, bars and art galleries just steps away!

There are no clothes closets or an iron in the loft, and no housekeeping during your stay. There’s also no doorman or security, so you have to rely on all the other residents keeping doors locked, not letting people in, etc.

Location was fantastic. Nice walk to everything in Lower Quebec City, including the Funicular and Gare du Palais Train Station. Area was quiet and not crazy busy. Easy to access room. Room appearance was very nice, including Kitchenette, dining and living room. Quick walk to restaurants and shops.

TV could use cable television or over the air antenna to watch local TV. Add some more viewing apps like Pluto and Tubi. Beds were comfortable. But too large, the larger bed frame barely left any room to get around the room and was a shin knocker. Doors and walls on the rooms would be preferable to the curtains. Also, with the curtains pulled closed at night you get no airflow into the room from the unit in the Living Room - the bedrooms could use ceiling fans for air movement since there is no air supply in the room.
