The location was excellent and within a couple blocks walking distance from train station and many restaurants. It was about a 10 minute walk to Academia and Uffizi. The room was large with painted ceilings. It looked exactly like the reservation image. Very quiet. Very secure with iron door and then an iron gate that is the entrance to the B&B. The proprietor was kind and friendly and his dry wit made me laugh. I will always remember his voice and how beautiful he made my name sound. This place is part of an old palazzo. There are two B&B connected and our room was on the 2nd floor past the beautiful interior garden. There's a key to get into the 2nd floor once off the lift and then a separate key for our room. We got a bit lost our first day there. To get to the check-in and breakfast it is in the first half before the interior garden with an elevator to the 2nd floor. The breakfast had a variety of choices:. Croisants, fruit, cereal, yogurt, hard boil egg, meats and cheese tray, hot chocolate, coffee, juice. It was an Europeon buffet not an American with bacon & eggs. It was a lovely breakfast and quite filling. The staff called for our airport taxi which was there immediately at 7:30 am on our day of departure. They also allowed us access to the buffet which was very considerate since the hours are 8 to 10. If you're interested in a Florence experience this palazzo is a reasonable priced choice in a great location.

I have nothing negative to say, except if you're one who wants a TV, the TV was very small with no English station. We were ok with this as we were not in Florence to watch TV. We went to Florence at a time which was suppose to be the beginning of the off season. October 1. There were soo many tourist it was crazy crowded. Our taxi driver said in the 12 years he has been a driver he has never seen it so busy.

Fabulous location in the heart of Florence, just a few minutes walk to the most popular attractions. The room was large and gorgeous, like a trip back in time with Renaissance murals on the walls and ceiling, yet all the modern amenities are provided. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The perfect place to stay in Florence!

The corner shower is pretty small - but understandably so when you stay in an historic building.

The room was absolutely massive. We weren't quite sure what to expect but when we walked in we thought that they messed up and upgraded our room. The breakfast was amazing with lots of options. The location was very nice as well, about a 10 minute walk to the train station and maybe a 15 minute walk to all the other main tourist locations in Florence.

It was a bit confusing to figure out how to get into the hotel at first. The hotel is on the 2nd floor and a housekeeper helped buzz us in. There were also a lot of steps to get into your room. A key fab let you through the main door and metal gate. Then you got a key to let you into the main hotel door. And then you got another key for your own room. The multiple layers of security was nice but was a bit confusing at first.

So traditional place and room. Room is so antic and we like about room. So big place. Around hotel, there are market, restaurants and place for visiting.

Because this place is old, so first it's hard to find the reception(entrance and floor)

The staff, accommodations, and location were outstanding!

I would not consider this at all a “downside” but due to the older building, the doors are thin and you can hear into the hallway (and vice versa). The shower was very small.

All the staff are friendly, helpful and happy to help with anything. There is a lovely atmosphere when you walk into the reception area where you are always greeted with a lovely smile. The room we were in was traditional, clean and immaculate. Plenty of space in the room. Beds are very comfortable and slept really well. There was some street noise, but that is to be expected and it didn't disturb us. The bathroom is spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was great, which set us up for the day ahead. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Firenze. The photos are accurate.

Absolutely nothing. Very well run hotel.

It's one of the many small hotels in Florence that is not an entire building but rather one or more floors in a larger structure, so the trade off is to give up setting and spaciousness in favor of walking convenience for sight-seeing, which we were happy to do since our time in the city was limited. Their arrangement with the garage next door for parking our rental car was a significant factor for us. Also, we were happy to find a roomy elevator in the bldg. as well as excellent security. The reception and breakfast area is small but adequate and the breakfast was typical. Our room's decor was amusing, and it had 2 nice sitting chairs as well as a desk & chair, a well-stocked mini-frig. and a tea-maker. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room and the luxuriously large shower with excellent water pressure and temperature control.

We would have liked to use the air conditioning, but it wasn't working. So, we left the window open, and I woke up with mosquito bites on my arms.

We had three rooms, two were basic double rooms but they were very different, one was nice and spacious and the other with not much space, the third one was a superior room and it was like in the pictures, very nice with a lot of space. The location is great and WiFi and ac work well. The rooms are also very clean.

The staff is sometimes rude, like they told us off for keeping our own beer in the fridge (even though we mostly kept baby food inside it, anyway it’s none of their business what we keep in the fridge in our room).
