The Crowd of Homeless people opposite / outside the hotel is a dampner

The room was spacious, comfortable and had a huge bed. It was cleaned daily. Breakfast was included and offered a nice variety, with slightly different options each morning. There was a good selection of beverages, including filter coffee, decaf filter coffee, and a range of teas. A standout feature was the option to make warm waffles, with the toppings changing daily.

There were some homeless individuals near the hotel during the day. Since we visited in winter, it seemed they moved elsewhere at night, but we’re not sure how it might be in the warmer months.

Staff were friendly. Clean room. Location was decent. There was construction going on on one of the floors, we were nervous about noise and interruptions but it didn’t bother us at all.

We didn’t get any menus in the room for any room service. Upon booking, we requested extra pillows to which I was emailed saying they would be in the room. They were not. I tried calling front desk, no answer. Thankfully we brought a pillow each anyway. Just for anyone who would care - during the day time there’s multiple sirens since it’s near the hospital. And it’s loud. Police presence outside that we could see quite often. Lots of homeless (congregation of groups of people) quite often. Though we did not feel unsafe. Pool was clean, open late too. Basic, but chilly. No hot tub. Breakfast was ….ok. Better than what I’ve had elsewhere but it was nothing fabulous. Was not kept hot either. But it was better than nothing.

Breakfast selection was very good- staff was friendly and room was also very good. We were in town for the Susan Komen 3 day walk supporting our daughters. I loved the free shuttle service to Fenway Park.

I was somewhat surprised at the surroundings outside the perimeter of the hotel- the view outside our 8th floor view centered directly on the street filled with homeless and " vagrants" - certainly not what I expected- or you could see the tents sets up in the alleys across the street. The Taxi driver we used on the ride back from Fenway stated most taxis disliked coming to this area. The security folks and hotel did a great job of shielding the guests from this "issue" but I certainly was disappointed- especially for an average of 280$/night!

Wonderful location, parking was ok but could be much better, at times there was no place close to walk to the hotel but ok for Boston.

We were looking really forward to swimming and lounging by the pool while my husband had his surgery at New England Baptist. BUT! The room where the pool was very cold and the water lukewarm warm, so for me winter stays will not happen at that hotel, you couldn’t even stand there and dry off it was freezing. You shouldn’t advertise a pool if it’s freezing, it’s Boston on the water, it should have been much much warmer..

Room was adequate. It was clean and orderly. Breakfast was nice. There was a good variety of foods, juices and coffees. Everything was kept hot (or cold). Check in and check out was quick and efficient.

There was soap in the bathroom but no shampoo or conditioner. Only 1 wash cloth and towel when there should have been at least 2. The location was difficult because of traffic and signs to the main entry were hard to find. Was dropped off on Mass Ave but had to walk around the building to find the main entrance.

All went well. As always: from Front Desk to Dining, everything was perfect. It is not my first time at your hotel -- every year I need to be in Boston to take care of personal businesses, and could not wish for a better place to stay.

Nothing could be better than what I have experienced in the many years I have stayed in your hotel. I am sure you are constantly improving, but the level of excellence is so high that it is hard to notice upswing changes, as one hardly notices changes for the better in what is already better!

After returning home from a week in Europe, nothing could beat the plush pillows and strong (free) WiFi. The shampoo/conditioner and shower gel smelled wonderful, and the towels were plentiful and nice. Room was comfortable, and we enjoyed the free breakfast. Very quiet room.

$$$$ compared to Europe (by comparison, we had just spent less than $100/night for a week in Naples, whereas this was nearly $600 for two nights and this was the cheapest option we could find). Convenient enough to the Metro. Please make the installation of bidets standard to American culture. Check in took longer than expected due to an issue with the key card creator, the desk person resolved it to the best of her ability.

It was very nice. Great staff; breakfast and 24 hour coffee and tea were great (cookies too)! Area of town was a little loud and not many food choices around, but Cuban restaurant take out connected to hotel was delicious!

Paying extra to park in the garage. There wasn’t alot to walk to around in the area (restaurants or stores). Close to hospital, heard sirens throughout the night.

Spacious, comfortable room. You get a lot more bang for the buck than in a hotel downtown, plus there's free breakfast.

The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is pretty run down, and not that close to downtown. It's not a good location if you want to walk right out into the city. But it's a short car ride into downtown Boston, so if you're taking Lyft/Uber and just using the hotel as a base for sleeping, it's great.
