The staff were great. Lovely and extremely helpful, a very friendly environment. We had a really easy check-in & out. They stored our luggage for several hours with no issues. The room was spacious and clean.

Upon using the facilities we did notice the pool was slightly on the cooler side along with the sauna. The temperature as you walk into the pool is deceiving for the pool itself although we still had an enjoyable albeit quick swim. A few of the plug outlets may need checking in the rooms as the one near our bed was quite tempremental, there was a slight buzzing noise and it t also made the plug quite hot. Other then that we had a wonderful weekend at Novotel

The welcoming Breakfast staff, the breakfast buffet was well stocked. My room was adequately appointed, warm & comfortable the fridge was well stocked. The expresso martini was fabulous. The reception was neat and tidy and always smelt great..

I couldn't open any of the bottled water in my room as the lids were very tight (I don not consider myself weak). I had to ask a neighbouring room to open one for me. A more generous replenishment of tea bags and milk would be good and also a shower cap and maybe body lotion or hand moisturiser in the bathroom would be welcomed.

The hotel is situated in a nice area with various restaurants and bars. It’s close to the waterfront. We enjoyed river walks to Covent Garden via Waterloo Bridge (going left) and, walking the other direction, to the Tate Modern Museum and St. Paul‘s Cathedral via Millennium Bridge. Our room was spacious and very quiet. The bed was comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. Everything was sparkling clean and well maintained. Attention was paid to detail, for example, we were three people (parents and child) in a double room (queen bed plus sofa bed), so we were pleasantly surprised to find a third mug placed next to the electric kettle. Such consideration is rare. We appreciated the sustainability efforts with refillable containers of toiletries like shampoo, shower gel and hand soap by the brand rituals. We also loved the choice of four plant-based milk alternatives at the very nice breakfast buffet and the pancake machine. Our kid loved the pool and mom the saunarium. The staff was super friendly and approachable. Service at the hotel restaurant was great and the food was high quality and delicious.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

I had the pleasure of staying at Novotel London Blackfriars with my family from August 10th to August 14th, and I must say, our experience was exceptional. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. The room was spotlessly clean, and the housekeeping staff did a superb job of keeping it that way throughout our stay. Room service was efficient and prompt. We also felt very safe during our stay, as the hotel’s security measures were well in place. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met with speed and professionalism. Their warm hospitality truly made our stay memorable. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring London, as it’s very close to public transportation options, making it easy to get around the city. If I return to London, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Novotel London Blackfriars again. A big thank you to the entire hotel team for making our stay so wonderful!

OMG! When I return to London, this is where I will plan to stay again. Fantastic location, very close to all the all the attractions, withun walking distance. Also, the best breakfast a condemned man could ask for. We are world travelers and have stayed here for a week. I can not praise this hotel and staff enough. We booked a room with a balcony because I am a smoker, and to my surprise, an ash tray was on the table outside on the balcony terrace. Cuddos to the housekeeping staff and Mr. Attila, who checked us in! 👍🏻

Not a thing!

It was nice and clean, the staff where lovely and was very apologetic to us when our room wasn’t quite ready to check in yet which was no problem as they gave us complementary drinks and was very fast at getting us to our room when it was ready, the room was stunning and the air con was great and everyone was very helpful.

the only reason I am not giving it a full 10 is due to the noisy flushing in the rooms and the pool temperature, I see a lot of reviews had the same issue which I should have read before hand as it was a shock to feel how icy it was, we didn’t mind so much until we noticed the spa was also cold which was disappointing as we thought it would be a proper spa with heat, my only complaint is that they should advertise it as non-heated as that’s one of the reason we was ok with the price of the hotel because of the pool and spa , we didn’t use it for long as it got uncomfortable being in cold water for a long time, as it was a romantic getaway and we spent alot for 1 night including another cost for their celebration package for couples it was slightly disheartening .

The location of the hotel is great. Being south of the river I was concerned it would be too far from the city but it is within waking distance and there is a tube station close by as well. We booked two rooms and the hotel very helpfully put us at the end of a corridor opposite each other so we could come and go from each others room with ease. The hotel has a little seated bar area outside which was nice in the sunshine. They were helpful with storing luggage with our early arrival/late departure

Breakfast wasn't particularly well stocked and staff were struggling to keep up with everyone using it at peak times.

The hotel location was brilliant for central London and tube. The breakfast was easily one of the best I've had at a hotel, the selection was great and everything cooked perfectly. The organisation was good too, didn't wait for a table despite it being busy. Bar staff were very helpful.

Despite booking the pool, it wasn't monitored so it was packed with families overstaying their time. It was also quite dirty in the changing room and around the pool area. The room was quite small for a family and due to a opaque window into the bedroom from the bathroom, you couldn't use the toilet in the night without waking the whole room with the light. Nice feature, poor execution.

Staff very helpful. Breakfast quality was excellent and restaurant for evening meals was also great. Excellent location for South Bank and everything on Jubilee Line.

Swimming pool very disappointing - small, too busy. Jacuzzi was cold and not somewhere you’d want to linger. Breakfast was too busy each day (no matter what time we went down). Queues to get seated, long queue for the pancake machine, running out of items and taking a long time to replenish, decaf coffee only available as a special request.

Nice room and bathroom. Balcony was good and great view.

No pen for breakfast menu. We're told by reception no charge for breakfast as had already paid, but on delivery to the room, there was a tray charge. This was refunded at check out. Breakfast was poor. Toast was like bread. Only 2 knobs of butter for 4 slices. Only one spoon and one fork. There were two of us. Step from balcony was extremely slippy when wet - wearing supplied slippers.
