Hotel location is excellent - close to MRT, close to several shopping centres and food malls, walking or train distance to restaurants, Clarke Quay, Arab st, Marina Bay, Raffles City, a huge park and ST Andrews Cathedral are just across the road. Room was recently renovated, spacious, nicely furnished. My only complaint is that there was a door to an adjoining room and we could clearly hear every word the couple next door said. Hence we were whispering so they wouldn't hear us. Need to sound proof those doors. We didn't experience any construction noise others have complained about. There are two pools that are perfect temperature and provide towels. There is some poolside seating with some shade areas. Plenty of poolside seats available when we were there but may not be enough in busy holiday periods. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful, from check in staff to concierge and restaurant staff. I would definitely recommend to friends. I would stay there again. We stayed in room 1626 of Peninsular Excelsior Tower part of the hotel (the hotel has two buildings)in May 2024.

Noise transfer from neighbours via the adjoining room door - needs soundproofing. Many hotels in this area have direct access underground to the City Hall MRT and to connect to other nearby shopping centres. We couldn't find direct MRT access at this hotel, so we accessed it thru a nearby hotel. On rainy days or really hot days direct access would be great.

We had an issue with our first room, in that the window unit was blown and the bathroom flooded every time we had a shower, the staff were great and got us moved into another (bigger) room, which was a painless process. We loved the fact that is was so close to the F1 track, which was the reason for our visit. We couldn't believe our luck at how central it was and how easy it was to get around. Anyone staying here must check out the restaurant on floor 22, we only found it on the last night, and really wished we had found it on the first as we would have been able to see the track all light up. The views from this restaurant are absolutely stunning.

The bathrooms really could do with being redesigned. They could do way with the baths altogether and make the bathrooms a lot bigger and less likely to flood! The air con units could probably do with a service as well, as they were SOOO loud, but after long days at the track, we were absolutely shattered anyway.

The room was fine and the staff was helpful. Nice pool and appreciate that they offered suhoor during Ramadan.

My only issue is that they allowed us to book a room that was too small for our family. I entered in the correct number of people here on Booking.com and all the options that were shown were supposed to have fit us. In the photo, it looks like the window seat is actually a chaise on which someone can sleep (it appears to have a back.) But upon arrival, there is no back. It is, in fact, not a chaise...just a hard bench with a couple pillows on it. So the photos and the fact that the room is bookable as an option for more people than it can actually fit, is misleading.

Be aware the sauna, gym and the pool in Peninsula Tower are currently closed for renovation. There was no info about this on the hotel information. I was disappointed as I had been looking forward all day to a sauna after a long overnight flight. It would be helpful for guests to know ahead of time.

The room size is good in view of its central location. It has a nice view to the sea, a good bed and a large bathroom. The pillows are a bit too firm and round. Although there are four pillows, none actually works for me. The room is very clean, decoration a bit tired but everything is functional. The coffee machine is a bit puzzling to operate. The staff is always helpful and smiley, especially a female employee named Sheryll. She is extremely observant and highly customer-oriented with a personalized touch. She has the magic to make her guests feel special.

My room payment and deposit charges were confused. The process was unclear. The bathroom is clean and spacious, but due to the age of the building, there is a constant odour from the pipe/drainage.

Location is very convenient only few minutes away from the MRT station where takes you to the airport or anywhere you wish to go.

There was some noise from construction in day time.. but it stops after 5 pm so, was ok for me.

The location of the hotel is excellent...easy walking distance to many locations nearby. While there are renovations currently happening, it wasn't a problem for us and only a minor inconvenience. The staff member Premala (reception) provided excellent and friendly service. We did have a problem with a badly leaking shower in our first room (recently renovated), we spoke to Premala about this problem and she relocated us to a better room in the Excelsior building, for which we were very grateful.

On a few occasions, we'd leave the room in the morning and switch on the 'clean room' switch. When we came back to the room in the afternoon, the room was still not made up. We rang the appropriate people and they said that they would send someone up to clean the room. We then went down to the pool for an hour or so and when we came back, the room still wasn't cleaned. We rang again and this time the cleaning staff did attend. The cleaners did do a good job in cleaning, however it was a tad disappointing that when we cam back after a few hours, the room wasn't made up.

The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to all major places of interest in Singapore. Next to a Metro station and big mall. Our room had a very nice view of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, good size and very comfortable bed. Very clean and attentive staff.

Stay one night on 20 May 23 for short gateway. The receptionist were friendly and upgraded our room. Enjoy the room and facilities so much.. Kids enjoyed two swimming pool and bath tub. The Hotel location is centralised, walking distance to Funan mall and Clarke Quay. thank you Sky Lounge staff for the surprise for my girl with birthday card and cheesecake. Unforgettable stay and definitely will return in future.

Location perfect in the centre of Singapore Hotel rooms have been completely refurbished so new beds , modern interior , fresh & clean appearance 😁😁

Mostly a few small additions would complete room & bathroom layout . Space in bathroom very tight especially when attempting to close door little space between toilet & door . Also bathroom needs another couple to well hooks near basin to hang hand towel & possibly washer . Bedroom needs another cupboard with 1 or 2 drawers under to allow sufficient space to place clothing into when unpacking suitcase & luggage space on top as only space currently for 1 suitcase 🥴🥴 Finally suggest add small bedside table unit for each side of bed with 1 drawer under & space or rack below to put shoes on 👍👍 These few changes would I believe would finish off room furnishing better however only way to solve the very tight space in bathroom would be to change large door to maybe a bi fold door .
