-Wonderful location, very friendly staff. -There is free coffee in the lobby all day, amazing! -The kitchenette in the room is wonderful if you're staying for more than a few days (I stayed for 9) and want to make something healthy and simple yourself. -The room is small, might be crowded for 2 adults, which I was fine with as a solo traveler. Definitely don't consider adding a 3rd person. -Overall highly recommend if you want to stay near Times Square and want good value on your money.

-The elevator is VERY slow. I used the stairs all the time and had no problem with it. But do take this under consideration if you need elevators due to disability, children etc. -The breakfast is on the simple side, many processed breads and all, but there are eggs, oatmeal and yogurt, good enough for me. You could be let down if you are expecting a full continental breakfast with lots of variety.

Location wise it is great, right near hell's kitchen and 5 mins to get across a couple of blocks to 7th, with a few shows on your doorstep. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great for a snack to start the day. The rooms were a decent size and beds comfy. Particularly liked the shower. Hotel kept our bags when we checked out which was handy as we were spending the day walking around.

There is no sound proofing around the door so you could hear everyone in the corridor. To make it worse all the doors slam close and when another door on the corridor slams yours actually moves and slams. Meant we were awake much earlier than we would have chosen.

I preferred to go straight from JFK by subway by E line to avoid traffic jam. It is only one minute walk from the exit of 42nd station, Perfect or more than that. To add to it, only two minutes walk to Majestic theater (Phantom). The website said it does not have microwave or refrigerator. But it had all, many dishes, even the dishwasher (I did not use it). And the refrigerator was big enough and powerful. The shower room was very clean and spacious. Finally it was affordable enough. For my future stay in NY, this place is the only choice. I forgot to say that the staff members at the front were so helpful and kind. See you guys again soon!

Terrible noise from the elevator shaft. The people from the front desk had to move us to a different room. Needs repair, urgently.

Location, location, location! It was even better than what I was expecting...one block from the main part of Times Square! And better yet, the metro station (Port Authority) was just on the corner, and it took us everywhere. The room was nice, enough space...and having a mini kitchen is a super plus for me on trips. They where able to hold our luggage, since our flight arrived really early in the morning, they even let us have breakfast for that day. Breakfast I think was enough: bagels (with toaster), cream cheese, jam, some cereals, milk, chocolate milk....the basics (at least for me, more than enough to start the day and get on to sightseeing).

The staff was awesome!!!! The young lady who checked us in - in the evening she was amazing- awesome- outstanding. Her personality was superb. Her bubbly hospitality was just outstanding. She recommended several place to eat where my son enjoyed. Overall stayed was outstanding.

Breakfast room too small we had to go upstairs to finish our breakfast. Also it would have been nice to have something different each day. On the 2nd floor didn’t see no ice machine, had to go to the 1st floor to get ice, not too customer service. Parking was overpriced due to size of vehicle.

+New, clean, great staff. Room is really functional with a kitchenette. Good location, safe area, 2 convenience stores,2 coffee shops, 4 burger/shake places within a block. Also some restaurants. 3 blocks from the bus terminal. +Breakfast is good: pre-fried eggs, sausage, French toast strips or pancakes, hot oatmeal, orange juice. Cereal, toast, coffee & tea. +Bathroom is 5' x 8' with a large shower. 2 people could be in there at once, no problem. +Shower uses bulk toiletries mounted on the wall. no little "disposable" bottles! Yay Marriott! +Maintenance crew is always available. +Our room faced away from the street (toward a nice courtyard) so it was very quiet. +Staff is friendly, helpful and abundant!

Queen Studios have full size beds, not really queen sized. No place for suitcases in the room. The only seat in the room ends up holding your suitcase. Anything else sits on the floor. (Though there are 2 hanging closets for clothes, just not big enough for suitcases.) No desk or chair in the room, just the corner built-in seat (that holds your suitcase.) -Housekeeping is done every OTHER day, unless specifically requested. This information is found nowhere on Booking or the Marriott website, but you're told at checkin. -Building has only one elevator, and it's slow & not very reliable. It was not working one day of our stay.

I loved the location. Easy to trains, easy for Uber, easy to walk for theatre and diners. Loved the room amenities, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, sink with silverware. It was clean, the shower was perfect (on off for shower was on opposite side of shower head so it easy to get your temp and get in and out). Housekeeping responded to our requests. Great stay!

I wish hotel rooms in NYC were larger but the value for this room size was good.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott is a small hotel in a great location, a 5 minute walk to Times Square and easy access to the subway system. We traveled from JFK by the Long Island Rail Road and it was about a 15/20 minute walk from Penn Station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but very well equipped with a small stove, microwave, coffee and tea facilities and even a dishwasher. There was always complimentary coffee available in the reception area the breakfast was simple but plentiful with self service for hot and cold breakfast items. This place was ideal for our first visit to New York.

There was nothing we were not happy about with this hotel, it suited us really well.

The room was very nice. It was clean and had all I expected from the kitchentte room. It had plates, sauce/frying pans, washing up liquid. The bed was large and very comfy. The shower was fantastic. The staff were great too! I needed assistance at 4am and there were two members of staff readily available to help.

The doors to the rooms close very loudly which can get annoying if you're on a full floor however noise from other rooms (tv noise etc) is very minimal. The breakfast was limited and they often ran out of yoghurt/cold drinks (plenty of fruit juice though!) however there was enough to get you through to lunch. The tea making facilities were on the ground floor (not in your rooms) and I often found they were out of English breakfast tea. I wouldn't expect much of a view from your room but I understand that's not the hotels fault, just worth a mention.
