Location = Excellent (except for the steps) - 15mins stroll into the heart of the City. Property Facilities = Excellent. Room = Excellent. - Shower Excellent. Breakfast = Superb - we had an early checkout on the last day and the staff prepared a breakfast for us the evening before. Pool Area = Very good - small but refreshing. Staff = Excellent. WiFi = Very good.

Lisbon is very hilly, and our Location was at the top of many many steps. Thankfully there was an escalator 2/3rds of the way up ... but this closed at 10pm every night.

The location was amazing. We had a beautiful view out of our balcony and also during breakfast. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful/ Breakfast was good and facilities were really nice, especially the jacuzzi/pool!

May need clearer instructions here for when you arrive. Because it is in the older part of Lisbon, it actually requires us going up the hill/stairs to locate the property as Google maps leads you in a strange alleyway. Otherwise, once you get there everything else is good! But someone with mobility issues will definitely have difficulty accessing the place.

The spa is great, you get 45 minutes on your own, the hotel provides extra towels but don't forget your swimsuits or you'll be roaming Lisboa in search of some :) We really enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day of sightseeing! The breakfast was also wonderful, a good variety of sweet and savoury. Bathroom had everything too. Bed was comfortable.

Getting to the Hotel is a feat due to numerous stairs, but we were prepared for that. It is an old building and you can't change that. However, the Hotel could think of installing a kind of doorstoppers so the doors don't slam hard. The closet in the room wasn't very useful as it was flimsy and needed to be fixed to the wall.

The place is incredible. Firstly, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Ana and Marcos offered many suggestions and recommendations which made our trip magic. Secondly, the building is beautiful. A lot of thought has gone into the design with the terrace where you can have breakfast or share a bottle of wine in the evening and look out over the rooftops of Lisbon. The jacuzzi and sauna were free everytime we wanted to use them and came in really handy at the end of a hard days walking. The breakfast was abundant and very varied. The room we rented was for three, and was big, very comfortable beds, a lot of wardrobe space to hand clothes and had wonderful views from the windows. The shower was spacious and had good water pressure. The airconditioning worked perfectly and wasn't noisey. There was also a well equipped kitchen (which we didn't use) and a big fridge with an ice-box. We weresupplied with many towles - both for the room and also to use in the jacuzzi. Everything was modern, clean and lovely. In summary, not only were the amenities incredible, the thing that really made our trip special was the excellent treatment received from Ana and her team.

There was nothing we didn't like. The only thing I could highlight is that taxis cannot get to the door of the hotel and you will have to walk up or down some stairs. However, we were with my mother-in-law who is 74 and she had no problem with this!

Very nice room with amazing city view, good breakfast, nice and helpful staff - what's more to ask? I had a really great time!

The amazing location just under the castle is at the same time a bit of a challenge for elderly people, or people with a physical handicap. Steep cobblestone alleys and street-staircases lead to Castello Suites. I came from the metro station at Martin Moniz, with a small backpack and a (hand luggage) stroller - but needed to carry the stroller most of the time. No problem for me, but even for me it would have been no fun with a 20 kg suitcase ;) You can come closer by with a taxi and would only have to *descend* a long flight of street-stairs from uphill if the taxi driver knew their stuff (= real taxi driver, not uber or bolt).

Friendly staff met us at the reception area with a welcoming complimentary drink and showed us around the property. Views were great and breakfast was lovely. Room had a kitchenette and balcony and everything we needed for our short stay. Location was good and a walk up to the cathedral on the top of the hill provided excellent views of the sunset.

Soundproofing could have been better because we heard a lot of noises from upstairs. Also, we had difficulty getting our door to lock with the key, but they said they are in the process of replacing the door locks.

The traditional building itself is modernized without loosing its charm, the location with the breathtaking historic view on the city is really unbeatable and very elegantly nestled into the mountain. If you like exploring the hilly stairs of Lisbon, this is the perfect spot. The rooms are lovingly designed, it feels really personal and had everything we needed. The handmade fresh breakfast bufet was absolutely delicious with a really fanastic view from the breakfast room. But most of all it was the very attentive, very wonderful and warm staff that made our stay with them really one of a kind. We'd be back anytime and thank you so much!

We recieved a lovely friendly welcome by the receptionist. We were asked to relax in the lounge area and given a complimetary beer while she registered our passports and organised the key. Once she arrived back she offered a bottle of prosecco to my mum becayse she just celebrated her birthday the day before. The place was gorgeous and the room and terrace were perfect. I was able to use the sauna and jacuzzi downstairs a few times and never had anyone distub.

It's Lisbon, and unfortunately the steps were pretty harsh for my parents who are over 70. This is something which doesn't reflect negatively on the property itself but just need to be aware for anybody who has an issue with mobility.

We like the location in the old Alfama district. Breakfast was excellent, and we liked the espresso maker!

The “indoor spa” was only about 97°F or 37°C, which was way too cool. The wall tiles were dirty. The 45 minute spa rule, and the inability to book a time to use the spa was frustrating. We had to wait for an hour or two both days. The balcony and room view from the superior room was mostly obstructed. I did not expect that. The steps up to the suites were long and steep, with our 6 pieces of heavy luggage. Fortunately a passerby assisted us!

Everything about this place was exceptional. It is in a prime location, the room was comfortable and new. Our view overlooked all the houses. There is a communal bar (with great wine and beer) overlooking Lisbon with comfortable cushions, where we spent our happy hour drinks and morning coffee. The staff (Maria!) made our stay super welcoming and special. The breakfast was exactly what you need before a day of exploration.

There is no coffee machine in the room, but there is a big one in the kitchen you can use at any time.
