Reasonably priced hotel in a great location. Comparatively we could treat ourselves to a junior suite at the Hu so we had a bit more room. Loved the rooftop bar - catch yourself a Memphis sunset with some drinks. It’s got to be one of the best views in town. Easy access to tourist interests and great restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Breakfast is simple (but does the job!), and there’s no Tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the team are always available to help and there are great cafes nearby for anything you need. It’s not a dislike, it’s just to note for your expectations.

Everything! Everyone was nice great breakfast just had to wait cause everyone kinda eats all the food up so we sat for 30 minutes to get food took a while for the cook to make more. Not a problem for me just for my husband I’m really not a breakfast person anyway. We really enjoyed ourselves. The whole weekend was raining hard and cold so we will be going back on a dry weekend so it won’t be miserable walking over to Beale street. Will definitely book at HU again very cozy comfortable room! Very nice staff

The alleys are an issue at night do not walk alone if you can help it!

My recent experience at the Hu Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I knew I was in for a treat. The junior suite was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the reception staff were always helpful. The location is excellent, easy to walk or trolley to Beale St. and other attractions. The hotel provides an information pack which is useful. We asked for housekeeping a couple of times and it was always done without any fuss..

One item that could be improved is the shower. For me it wasn't powerful enough and no manual spray attachment. A couple of tiles were loose around the bottom of the shower wall, probably from water ingress.

Excellent location. We had a great room (1607) and enjoyed our stay.

The reception was lukewarm as though the person at the desk couldn’t have cared less. I wish there were coffee makers in the room. Coffee was provided in the lobby at all times. The hotel lobby is beautiful and has potential for a bar and also specialty coffee but it seems they aren’t making use of the space to provide additional services. It is a shame. I would have bought coffee and breakfast each morning and definitely had a cocktail. The roof top offers drinks for a limited time. Again, here the service was very lukewarm.

The location was excellent, easy walking distance to plenty of local sights and restaurants. Staff were friendly and professional. The room was quiet and had a very comfortable bed. It was a fairly tight space (as we always expect in central city locations), but thoughtfully laid out and beautifully decorated.

Unfortunately our toilet chain broke on the first day, and despite reporting it to staff immediately, it wasn't fixed for the duration of our stay (2 nights). This was really disappointing as a flushing/ working toilet is a pretty key part of a comfortable stay.

The location was great, beautiful room w/ a view- loved the decor & the amenities of the room. The staff were friendly & helpful. Also, for it to be a busy night due to Jhene Aiko’s concert, it was considerably quiet on our floor & throughout the facility.

The parking situation could have been better & there were burn holes & left over food particles on the carpet in the living room. The carpet could definitely use some shampooing.

Rooms had a chic and aesthetic design - I really liked that. Good location to walk to Beale Street or the next trolley stop. Very friendly staff. Bed was really comfortable and bathroom clean and spacious.

Rooftop bar opened hours later than announced and was VERY expensive for rather "unfancy" drinks. The lady working at the bar was quite stressed out and annoyed it seemed. Very convenient to watch the sunset and the bridge lighting if you don't wanna leave the hotel (+)- but the bar didn't have any ambience or vibe- and was a little "worn down". Don't expect anything fancy.

The concierge, Jessica, was so so polite and relatable. We suffered a power outage and after three days with no power, a new baby, and a rambunctious boy child of 4 years with autism, we needed somewhere accommodating. The Hu Hotel was it. We thought we would hit Beale and enjoy the night life but as soon as we hit the plush bedding, plans changed. It was disappointing that the room didn’t have a microwave but again the king suite was big enough for my family. The views from the wrap around windows were an architectural dream. My Grandson loved watching the River boats and seeing the Hernando-Desoto bridge light up. Watching the river as the sun set was breathtaking. The price was reasonable and it didn’t take forever to get my security deposit back. The $22 parking was a big convenience. We missed the Roof top shindig but even without all of that, it was peaceful and we can’t wait to stay again.

There was no microwave in the room and no trash bags in the cans but we survived. It wasn’t that much of a dealbreaker.

Surprisingly got upgraded to a King Suite (from a double queen room) which was very nice and made up for the price I was paying. It was good to have a fridge, but also kind of useless since didn't have access to a microwave/kettle. Would have been nice to have a kettle & /tea/coffee amenities.

The hallways smelt very badly of weed. When mentioned to the staff member, she said they can't do anything about it. I would be to differ (ie, find the room of the source and fine them - like any other hotel would). It was probably the main turn off.
