Great location. 2 blocs from the U.N. Plenty or restaurants around.

Our room was a good size by NYC standards and very clean and comfortable. The location is convenient walking distance to theaters, Central Park, and 5th Ave shopping without having to stay in Times Square.

We arrived around 1pm (before the 3pm check-in time) and concierge staff told us our room was ready but it would cost us $40 to check in early. Why charge an extra fee if the room is already ready? We declined and decided to walk around for a few hours until we could check in at 3pm.

The EVEN Midtown East Grand Central exceeded my expectations. The location for UN staff coming in for short duration is perfect as it is just a 5 minute walk (with everything needed close-by: cafes, restaurants, bars, 24-hour CVS/ pharmacies etc). The room was incredibly spacious (for NYC standards), the view was great from higher floors and there was enough space to hang work clothes/ jackets (during the winter!), stow away suitcase, have an ironing board (provided by the hotel upon request) open, work on the computer. The bathroom, bed and pillows were insanely comfortable. Everything was impressively modern, new, clean, with good taste and safe. There is a good sized mini fridge. The staff were efficient. The focus on well-being (ropes, gym ball, TV videos to do short exercises), free coffee and water points were also really appreciated!

The EVEN Midtown East Grand Central did not provide breakfast in the building or water bottles in the room. I wish that there was a water point on each floor because going to other floors to fill up your water bottle was inconvenient. I also wish that breakfast was offered, that the bar was functioning in the lobby and that the whole area was a bit more user friendly. Also if the balcony had a retractable cover, guests could appreciate and sit outside during the winter as well!

Very well located, good value for money, room was very quiet and perfect for a few nights.

Nothing major, just on arrival, the receptionist told us there was only one booking and not the second one, and asked me to call Booking.com to sort it out... After a minute of discussing with the receptionist, she finally checked if the second room was on the name of my colleague (which it was). So, somehow, when booking via Booking, it seems they can only see one reservation only, although there are two. As I said, nohing major, the room was there.

The room was quiet and clean, very well located hotel, close to Grand Central Station, with many subway lines.

Didn't like the shuttle service offered from the hotel to JFK Airport. The driver looked inexperienced and untrained, didn't seem to know the way to the airport, following the GPS and missing an exit. He also asked to be paid in cash, said that had change, but when we got to the airport I realized he had no change. I tried to pay credit instead, but he also didn't have a credit card machine. The hotel informed me the driver took both - cash and card. He finally got the change and I was able to pay him. Would not use that shuttle service again. Also, one of the side bed lights was not working and it would be nice to have a blow dryer in the bathroom.

Everything was good , except we had bad experience with one of the receptionist, we don't remember her name , but she was very rude !

Friendly service, technicians who came promptly to fix things, cleans rooms, rather quiet location, good wi-fi connection, several restaurants nearby, as well as being able to order food to the hotel.

Breakfast could be improved, like too much prepackaged, only scrambled eggs, and the orange juice was empty before 9 am. We thought the receptionist said the taxi they ordered for our departure to Newark Airport was paid for by the hotel using our credit card and that we would get a receipt from the driver. However, the driver, a female, did not speak any English at all !!!, and through her phone somebody told us we had to pay and no receipt was available, except for the taxi company sending us an e-mail!!!

Room, facilities, quietness, and comfort was very good. Location was excellent, and gym and ping pong table was used during our stay. Also balcony in 2nd floor was nice!

Staff was a little bit rude some times. And beds were a bit small for two persons to sleep, but we had a whole family in same room.

Bed could have been more comfortable and wanted more privacy in bathroom (sliding door). Room was decent size, especially for NYC, but very limited places to set things down. Closet short and awkward behind sliding door.

Nicely styled rooms that were clean. Hotel easily accessible .Helpful and friendly staff. Good location. The table tennis table was a great bonus for our boys. Plenty of good places nearby to eat breakfast and dinner without being right in the heart of tourist geared places.

Not a lot of room for storage but we knew this before booking. Was pleased that the yoga ball was not present as it was unnecessary.
