I have to admit, I was sceptical about staying here after reading some reviews. However it was perfect for our four night stay. We travelled as a family with two young children. We had a room with a pool and sea view. We had a living room with two bedrooms, plenty of wardrobe space and a good size bathroom. Reception was very nice and welcoming. We went all inclusive and I cannot rate it highly enough. We had fresh fish, steak and lots of tasty options. If we were there longer we may have got bored but everything was tasty, fresh and well presented. The pool was very well maintained and the hotel is on the beach so you can pop to the beach then straight back to your room or lounger! Entertainment was great. My daughter went to the kids club which she loved and evening was good all round family entertainment. All the staff were so welcoming. The hotel was so clean. You can walk to the town of Nerja or get a bus from outside the hotel. It is so pretty, I highly recommend you visit during your stay. For families I would highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are not modern but I wasn't expecting that so just an observation rather than criticism.

On the beach. Large pool. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice location, about 2km from Nerja centre.

Hotel did not book requested taxi service to or from the airport. Large breakfast buffet but little fresh food. A lot of heavily processed food items

We have been to Marinas six times now and hopefully that shows that we are happy with being there. We had halfboard, breakfast and dinner which is fine for us and we can choose what we would like to drink with the food. The winelist has been improved which we were happy about. Excellent breakfast and dinner with many different choices. Walking along the beach into Nerja city is a very nice walk. Very friendly personnell in the reception and also in the restaurant and bar. Cleaning personnell and technicians were also very helpful. The only thing to improve is the strength of the WiFi. To work I had to sit close to the reception.

The views from the balcony were stunning! The staff is working very hard to keep this hotel running. They smile everytime they see you and they're doing what they can to make your stay pleasent.

Rooms are pleasant, but needs improvement. Some old furniture must be changed. TV is too small with few satellite international and local channels. Wi-Fi is almost non-existent, works just in the lobby. Every morning If you're not at 8:30 sharp at the breakfast you'll be staying at queue for about 10 - 15 minutes to enter the breakfast area which is very busy. At the swimming pool it's full of noise from the children. So I recommend staying at the beach. In the evenings every night they have a themed party until 11 - 11:30, so If you're not a party guy it's not for you because the noise is going through the entire hotel.

I had a fabulous Christmas at this hotel. The staff are exceptional, they could not do enough for me....they asked me about my room which was very dark & changed me to a room that received the sunshine in the morning. It made my holiday! The difference to me was so important. They offered to do this. The Christmas banquet....because that's what it was ,was superb! The staff put their hearts & Souls into making it special. Very memorable & the food was lovely. My apartment was fabulous, very comfortable. The food at mealtimes was so varied and creative. I loved my week/Christmas. The staff were very efficient and hard working & made you feel special and welcome, I applaud you all. The hotel is very well managed and right on the beach....it was gorgeous 😊 Thank you.

It's not the best hotel for children at Christmas. We had a 9yr old with us & she was so disappointed that she couldn't go into the indoor pool. I now understand that this was attached to the spa so I get it but she had nowhere to swim. It was just too cold outside. Also, just a note. I paid for half board yet I wasn't even allowed to have a drink at dinner....not even water! It had to be paid for. I thought this was mean. The staff very much kept to the rules laid down by hotel policy. They were very kind & considerate.One drink would be suffice....or even just a coffee ☕️? I understand this is a policy in some hotels.

It‘s nice property situated in a quiet area of the beach and very laid back atmosphere. We liked our studio apartment with kitchen included. We asked for a higher floor, facing Macaca instead of the poolside. This was nice and more quiet. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet has everything except if you are vegan. There are more options for vegetarians, they find plenty of egg varieties. In general the breakfast is good especially when you are from England. Wish there would be more vegetables. Parking is a great plus - many spaces next to the hotel free of charge. Sunbeds at the beach on the green lawn are limited, free of charge but you have to be early to find a space in the shade.

The staff at the reception were extremely friendly and professional. They took the time to explain everything and they followed up later with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The cleaning staff were very pleasant and polite too, they were very helpful when needed. We were upgraded to a very nice room with a stunning view of the ocean, we were able to admire sunsets and sunrises everyday, it was fantastic. The location was also a great plus, very easy to access mains activities around Nerja. We didn't use the pools but they looked very nice and well maintained.

The restaurant atmosphere felt like a high school cafeteria, no ambiance, the staff were rushing, making a lot of noise putting the dishes in the carts, talking loud with other employees over our heads, no respect of the customers who were there for a quiet dinner. There was no background music at dinner and the lights were very bright. We had to find tables close to the wall or outside to make sure the employees won't pass too close to us with their carts, removing plates and dishes and throwing them in the bins. We saw only one employee at the restaurant who was pleasant and smiling. The breakfast, though, besides the noise, had a great selection and was very good. We will come back, but we will not take the lunch or dinner option.

We loved the 180 degree view of the sea and beach from our balcony, the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore, the sunrises and sunsets. We leave feeling extremely fortunate to have been assigned room 302 by the staff. It was as good an experience, room wise, as when we travelled to Thailand, just a lot closer to home. Fifteen minutes stroll along the beach there was a chironguito/ beach bar serving fresh fish dishes, an experience that was at the top of our "to experience" list, we visited daily. Staying at a resort is not our go-to type of holiday, but it was early January and at £100 a night, including breakfast, which was quite decent, with two bedrooms and a beachfront balcony, we thoroughly enjoyed our 3+1 days stay here. (We stayed an extra day, that says something.)

It's not really fair to complain or make negative statements because we feel that we got more than we had expected, but the interior is a bit "tired". However, had it been pristine then it would probably have been out of our price range. Keep an open mind, everything worked well and we are not complaining. I searched using "spa" as one of my criteria and the hotel does offer these facilities, but don't expect too much. In the end we didn't use any of the spa offers.
