Price of hotel food and drinks

the iconic design and decoration/furnishings position good on edge of Central Park most staff were lovely. couple of door staff and luggage men were grumpy

the lack of things included in your stay cost ! no water in room or coffee/tea making facilities. everything is charged for on top of the room rate. even in the shard you get coffee making etc the cost of drinks and food are extortionate then you have 18% tip plus tax to add on. don’t bother with the mini bar it’s so expensive too. also the breakfast rate is a waste of time as they just give you £60 head to spend in the bar to order set meals for breakfast not a buffet like other large hotels. overall highly over priced and a rip off

Loved staying at The Plaza. We were celebrating a special occasion and they left us a bottle of champagne in our room which was a lovely touch. We had a great room with a view of the park, all the staff were very helpful. They have the champagne lounge that is for hotel guests only which is lovely. Really happy we celebrated here

We are breakfast at The Palm Court and it was average at best. We had to send one dish back as it was over cooked, found plastic in another dish. The manager did come and apologize and take that dish off the bill but we were really disappointed with the food there which is a shame. The quality and presentation did not reflect the price. No water in the room we had to call housekeeping several times to bring some up

Beautiful property with a sense of history and timelessness. For us, fantastic location. Professional staff, with bellman and doorman anticipating every need.

Plaza team members were mostly unengaged to borderline rude - specifically, the men who stood at the door of the tea room area and the room service operator.

beautiful building, wonderful staff, very comfy beds and linens and exceptional location.

We felt that for the high price it should have included simple things that low price places have like free internet, and free coffee .

This building remains on of NYC's landmarks. It's primary architect designed, amongst other great buildings, the Dakota (the inner courtyard brickwork is a dead giveaway to that part.) If you are looking for a modern looking facility got elsewhere, BUT if you want lure 1800's to early 20th-century opulence with all the modern facilties such as seamless wifi continuity and large flat screen TVs etc. then this is your place. The rooms could have more electrical outlets as either one side of the bed or the other has more and the other has non free, but they have a nice QI-based charging dual angled-digital display alarm clock which was compatible with my iphone 13 pro max. My wife and I were upgraded to a room with a real balcony (on the 5th floor) which had a mini court heard with working fountains every 30 feet or so. the other side of the building I assume to be the condo part.

More free outlets equally on both side of the king-sized beds. Room service was very slow when it came to delivering a filled ice bucket to our room; however, they were find for morning Saturday morning breakfast delivery :-)
