Good value for money for 2 bed lodge. Everything we needed. We were lucky with our lodge as it looked out onto the Golf Course therefore no other lodge really looked into ours which was nice when sitting in the conservatory area. It was good that the swimming/ leisure facilities was included in price of lodge.

Lodges are a bit dated. Could have been slightly cleaner, i.e there were a couple of long dark hairs on the bathroom floor. Also there are a lot of cobwebs in corners of lodge. The walk to the hotel could have been lit. There were no lights to show the way and was very dark through the short woodland path. Was unfortunate that the jacuzzi was not working, as this was one of the main reasons we booked to stay here and did not know this in advance. The changing room floors in leisure centre were quite dirty and could have done with a mop. Also the restaurant was also closed when we stayed.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and positive. Happy to help out. The bar was really good for families, which was an unexpected bonus. The pool was a good temperature for the toddler. Location is superb, easy to walk to town, but quiet and secure. Cabin was comfortable. My daughter loved it so much she did not want to leave.

There was the old time clock in the electric meter cupboard which ticked loudly all of the time, you could hear it clearly from the bathroom and twin room. It was ok-ish in the livingroom if the door was shut. Ear plugs essential to sleep. The shower pulses if on above a certain temperature.

Nice and quiet would visit again, the patio lodge/apartment was bigger than expected for 4 adults and 1 toddler plenty of space. I would definitely visit again and would happily recommend a stay here to anyone.

Only faults where there wasn't much entertainment for the time of year, restraunt wasn't open to guests so we never went to the main resort, we only visited to swim. The apartment hot water wasn't heating at night either, so I couldn't give my daughter a bath at night before bed to stick to routine. Mattresses were a bit hard, but that's just a personal choice. Couldn't fault the place.

The town is small, peaceful and quiet but a tourist attraction (mainly holiday goers) so it had all the services and facilities we needed. It’s also in the middle of the highlands, with many, many activities, attractions and beautiful nature all around. It’s also a few hours drive from other Highland locations, such as Loch Ness, Fort William, Inverness, Glencoe, Isle of Skye (which we didn’t visit because it’s 3 hours away and I had little kids). We stayed for a week in Aviemore but we could have stayed more since everyday was filled with activity and interesting things to do.

The third bedroom was much smaller than expected; really a walk in closet with two small, vertical bunk beds inside to call it a ‘bedroom’. It wasn’t a big issue though, since we managed with the other two decently sized bedrooms. We also had two of our kids sleep in the spacious living room in the first floor, so that made this issue a bit tolerable.

Stunning location with very friendly and helpfull staff.

After checking in and recieving the keys to our lodge we then arrived at our lodge to find a couple already staying there as they had mistook our lodge for there own one (even though ours had a log burner and sauna but theres never) They had been there from the night before.I feel this is why the lodges should be locked on arrival for the guests instead of being unlocked as there keys would never have opened our lodge in the first place. Praise must goto to staff though who sorted out the mix up within a couple of hrs and we recieved a complimentary meal the following night in the resturant.

The location is amazing, the views so stunning. The Alvie Lodge (number 3) was very comfortable with a sun room looking out across the Cairngorms and the well kept grounds. Aviemore centre is a 20 minute walk away and there is also a good bus service. The swimming pool is lovely and a nice wee gym too. We ate in the Speyside restaurant and the food was great, very good service from the bar man. The receptionist that checked us in was the best, he made us feel very welcome.

The lodge hadn't been cleaned very well, we had to wipe down the sofa. Also had to clean up a spillage on the coffee table and carpet. Quite a bit of dust on the ceiling rafters. We also had to clean the toilet seat. The floors had been mopped and apart from the above it was clean. The pool was closed unexpectedly on our last day which was a bit disappointing as I was looking forward to a swim before checking out. Some of the staff could be a bit more welcoming, looking up to say hello really makes a positive difference.

Good beds, really nice covered balcony which was needed due to lots of rain. Kitchen was really well equipped, so easy to cook our own meals. lovely to have a bath tub to soak in after a long day exploring the Scottish nature Beautiful river near by, you could not see it from teh properties. It was a nice surprise to find this hidden peral on a walk around the property

There was A LOT of furniture and cupboards in the living room, that you could not even open or use due to the placement of tv and tv table - so it really had no function other than taking up space and making the living room seem a bit messy and stuffed. My advice...take the extra cupboards out - it will free up space and make the living room space look nicer. It was hard to find the reception. The GPS said we had arrived long before we had come to the right place

Location is great , our apartment was lovely, it was very clean, spacious and everything we needed . Beds were comfortable, and everyone had a space of their own .having access to swimming, bar and restaurant on site is a bonus . Very family and dog friendly place .

We have been going there for years now .The only thing we felt could be improved is the jacuzzi which has been out of action for a few years is now operating with a few small bubbles more like a warm bath . That’s minor in comparison with the brilliant time we had to be fair.

We booked a lodge and were upgraded to a patio villa at no extra cost. It was very thoughtful of the manager, Paul, to help us out when I expressed my concern with the position of the lodge originally assigned to us, as a few steps down the lawn to get to it, meant a wee bit of a nuisance when carrying any load from the car to the accommodation. The place is beautiful, surrounded by green lawns and trees, with a view over the Cairngorms mountain range. There is a restaurant and pub with a very retro/ twin peaks vibe, and a swimming pool and gym; all at hand in the main building-reception. The resort is like a small village with different kinds of accommodation scattered amidst beautifully manicured grounds. Obviously, the golf course is prominent feature but the lovely trees and the retro vibe of the interiors are what I loved most. It is a bit of a long walk to Aviemore shops, a car is definitely preferable, we always drove to the centre of town for shopping or else; you could walk but for me it was more about managing time- I did my walks in the majestic Caledonian forests of Rothiemurchus and Glenmore. The staff at the premises was courteous and helpful. Would book again and will return!

Great location, very quiet in the resort. although Aviemore was quite busy for the time of year. A very easy 20 minute walk to the centre of Aviemore. The chalet was great, everything was there that we needed. Beds very comfy, great views from the sunroom at the back of the property. The sauna in the bathroom was a big bonus. We parked the car right outside the front door, so no problems moving our suitcases. We didn't use the main pool or facilities, which looked very inviting and clean, but if we had, they were included for free in the price. We would certainly stay here again.

On arrival at the chalet, we found the dishwasher was still full of pots, pans and cutlery and was warm to the touch, obviously had been forgotten about. The main problem, the toilet was blocked. Unfortunatley we didn't find out until after reception had closed. On reporting it to reception the next day, it was dealt with very swiftly. The outside seating areas hadn't been cleaned for quite a while and made it imposible to use, we reported this at the same time as the toilet problem, but on our return nothing had been cleaned. This is a shame, as the weather was very kind whilst we were there, it would have been nice to have been able to sit outside. These problems just took the edge off the chalet being perfect for our stay, although we would certainly return in the future.
