Friendly staff at reception. Room was clean and comfortable - although pillows were not (probably personal preference and you can't suit everyone). Kettle with tea and coffee provided. Convenient location at the southern end of the town. Although next to the main road, it was very quiet. Next door to a terrific Italian restaurant. Plenty of parking I would stay again

I found the room very hot with no way of turning the heating off. Towels were changed daily - I feel this is unnecessary and not eco-friendly. A little pricey when compared to other options with similar rooms and more facilities

Very friendly staff at reception. Spotlessly clean shower…no mould, no clogged -up plughole. Huge bath sheets. Mirrors don’t get steamed up. Fridge in the room. Electric radiator which we could control the temperatures. Large windows which actually fully open. Comfy bed. Great storage and hanging space. Secure entrance. Two chairs and a coffee table. Large smart tv. Tea and coffee and kettle. We only stayed two nights but the room is spacious and comfy enough for a longer stay. Their Italian Pizzeria/ Restaurant is conveniently next to the property. We have stayed here many times and always choose it. It is a motel with no breakfast but there are loads of places to choose from in Aviemore. Or bring in your own to eat in the room. Great value. We definitely recommend it.

Great location for hiking in the Cairngorms and all the services available in Aviemore. Room was clean and large for the price. It had a kettle and a fridge which was really helpful. The tray for wet or dirty/ wet/ icy boots was a good touch. We also appreciated having a car charger on site. Reception staff were very helpful.

Nothing! The only improvement would be a drying room with a dehumidifier for hikers, skiers, cyclists, watersports enthusiasts etc. It would be a great facility and would save damage to your rooms from inappropriate attempts to dry things inside them.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Straight on at the roundabout from the hotel for the activities, take a left for food and bars (walking distance) but make sure you book prior to your visit. The rooms were clean, comfy and warm. Maid service everyday to make beds, swap towels and update tea and coffee. Fridge in room to chill your beer, prosecco and snacks....much needed after a day on the slopes! As a family of 4, we had 2 rooms next to each other. We can't fault them one bit and will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel to friends and family. We hope to return in the near future to make more memories.

No fault of the hotel at all....having to pre book evening meals in the village.

We stayed in the Motel, so no lobby or breakfast facilities were available. There were also cabins, which looked very nice. The rooms were large and comfortable. Good beds and bathroom, fridge, coffee/tea facilities. Italian restaurant next door. It's on the main road, a bit of a walk into town. We had to modify our booking for personal reasons, which the reception staff tried their best to address, and in the end, this was solved pleasantly, for which we are grateful.

To be fair, this was a great surprise. We booked it the night before once we are just driving with no plans. The hotel was super clean, the towels were like from the washer machine. Smell was great! The hotel was clean and quite organized, It is a pretty straight-forward place so if you are looking forward to be baby sited, this is not your place. However, if you are low maintenance like us and just need a safe and cozy place to sleep, this is your place.

To be honest, not much. Would just love to have the reception closer to the rooms but this is just peanuts.

The High Range Lodge is in a great location for accessing all the attractions in and around Aviemore, ample parking too. Having the Craigellachie Nature Reserve in such close walking distance is fantastic. The accommodation is spotless and very well maintained. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and the shower especially was fantastic! Lovely helpful and friendly staff. We have stayed in numerous places in Aviemore and this is by far the best experience we've had and we'll definitely be back.

Haven't a single negative thing to add.

We were surprised by the size and quality of the apartment. There was even a large decorated Christmas tree in the living room. Everything was perfect and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Some light bulbs to replace the lights that were not working. The staff said they were not allowed to give us any, but the light in the living room on the lamp stand was not working, which was a bit a shame.

Quiet edge of town motel, on the main road but it wasn't an issue, with noise, but wasn't very dark due to the street lighting. Spacious room, easy location to find and easy parking. Tea and coffee in the room, restaurant was closed the first night, and no breakfast included, but they offer a pack up, and plenty of cafés, about half a mile walk in to the centre

Our room didn't get cleaned for some reason. Not a big deal, but had to go to get cups and teabags from reception in the rain . Gent was surprised it was missed, and gave me provisions. It was a fair walk to the town and pubs, if you don't mind the walk, it's fine.

We were particularly impressed with the size of the room and bed. Easy to find and location perfect for our needs. Brilliant use of space with toilet door offering an extended level of privacy. Would we stay again? Yes

We thought the shower cubicle could have benefited from being larger, the pillows were not our taste, but that's not to say they would have suited other people. The lack of breakfast was disappointing but this was advised of on the website. However, it was not immediately apparent booking through a third party such as booking.com
