Bed was super comfy. Location for getting out and about was great. Breakfast and female staff member who made the best coffee was great. Really enjoyed the outdoor bar on the Friday night, cocktails were great and the food was amazing, totally intended eating and drinking here again. We were expecting a parcel to be delivered to the hotel and unfortunately it arrived after we had gone back to Scotland. We had spoken with John and another member of front desk staff who assured us they would take parcel and contact us to arrange delivery back to UK and we would arrange payment etc. Unfortunately after we had left I heard nothing from the hotel. I emailed John Flores and received no reply, I emailed reception no reply, so this was very disappointing, after being advised they would look after this for us. However I called the hotel and had the great fortune to be transferred to the amazing Amy Nguyen, she was absolutely fantastic. She arranged the FedEx transportation of our parcel, she kept in touch with me for 2 weeks, due to some difficulties with FedEx and the parcel. She is an absolute credit to this hotel and the main reason for the top review on staff and hotel. She went over and above and deserves recognition for her help. So once again Amy, thank you so much.

After enjoying an evening in the outdoor bar on the Friday, we were excited to eat here again, but it was closed on the Sat, Sun night which was very disappointing. There was a power cut on the Sunday night which led to us waking up on the Monday with no power in the hotel, no emergency lights in corridor, had to use phone to guide ourselves out of the room, spent the day at the space centre, back to the hotel about 5pm only to find power still out and we had to transfer hotel on our last night, not ideal, but out of hotels control I guess.

The room had all the things expected and required. Great with ironing board, iron, and hairdryer. Work space came handy, and the bed was very comfy. Facilities were nice, outside bar with live music as well as breakfast restaurant- both with lovely staff! Thank you Vicky! I would stay here again if I return to Houston.

Nothing really, but just as feedback; The hotel corridors could do with a bit of refreshment, but that didn't bother me or influence my general impression of the hotel. I was working a fair bit in my room, and just a bit stronger light would be good.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially seen as we were visiting Houston for the first time, they were able to give visitor recommendations. We enjoyed the vast range of breakfast options included in our stay. We liked having the option to go green and be given a $10 voucher instead of daily housekeeping as this wasn’t necessary for 2 nights.

The location of the hotel was a fair walk into downtown Houston and unknown to us there really isn’t much to do there for visitors. It also felt a little unsafe in the local area at times. With this being said, the hotel was perfectly safe and secure. The hotel is quite grand however the pool area could do with a little uplift - revamp old lounges, outdoor music? Outdoor bar?

Beautiful lobby and friendly valet assistance. Also the pillows were fantastic! 10/10 on that!

I asked two of the staff directions and neither of them spoke English so I was left without help wandering about. Lol The outside light shown through the crack around the door really bad at night and if the water in the neighboring room was running it sounded like a monster hiding inside my room. Frightening until you figure out what it is. Bathroom was small and had my claustrophobic personality freaking a tad. Sometimes the elevator wait on the 5th floor was 15 minutes. I had to take the stairs (5th floor) and almost missed my Uber. Annoying. Oh and my kids used the long pillows as swords and fought with them. Parents beware. Oh, oh and not all of our rooms outlets worked. Lastly was that the midnight snack selection was sub-par.

I chose the hotel mainly because it offered great price in the city center, with walkable distance to Toyota Center. It's located in what seems to be a financial district so it's very quiet and the area seems to be super safe.

I think I have just one complaint. Even though I booked the room for four people and it was advertised as 'breakfast included' it wasn't included at first. I had to ask staff about it and the lady at the counter wasn't too happy fulfilling my request. I was given only two vouchers for a breakfast even though the room, as I said earlier, was booked for four. The lady explained it's their policy and she can only give me two vouchers... So, keep that in mind if you go there with larger group. The breakfast itself will cost you around $20 otherwise. Basically, in this regard it's far below what you'll get for a 4*, or even 3* run of the mill hotel in Europe.

The hotel offers clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious rooms. The mattress is firm but not too hard. The pillows are soft but not too much so. The bathroom offers body wash, shampoo and hair conditioner. The hotel is located at the southern end of downtown Houston, but within an easy walking distance to all of the downtown area. Moreover, getting an Uber/Lyft never required a wait longer than 5 minutes for trips outside of downtown.

The bathrooms are perhaps a bit small although well organized. There is no rack to dry the towel after a shower. Some of the amenities did not work properly (e.g. room safe did not operate at all, one of the faucets was loose, and the wifi signal was very weak on the 11th floor). Finally, in the morning, as things get quite busy, the elevator wait can be very long especially for those on the upper floors of the hotel.

location, pool facilities

The charge for 1 nights parking was $40. I parked in a private lot across from the hotel and unfortunately got broken into.

The hotel lobby and staff were very nice and accommodating. They allowed very late check out on our last day and in general had a good stay! Location was nice to walk or easily uber, parking is expensive but we found a surface lot down the street for maybe $5 / day so we just did that instead but we are local and were able to research a bit.

Complaints would be no fridge in room, and the hours of the bar/restaurants. They did not open until about 4 or 5pm, and then closed pretty early (maybe 10pm at the latest). Those are the exact hours we would be out and about so we were not able to try out anything on property and totally would have for lunch or a nightcap if open at different hours.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. During the check-in we were asked if we would like to skip the room cleaning for 10 dollars voucher, which we happily accepted and used for a nice breakfast in the hotel's cafe. Location was very good as well, close to tram and bus stops. Multiple restaurants around.

Windows were facing a busy road, it was a bit loud, but did not disturb us much.

The service was excellent. Everyone was very nice and polite.

I would have like to known about the valet charge everyday. Even though it's outside on the stand the valet staff are quick to get you in and out you vehicle and uou not know or the front desk staff could also include that in the conformation of your stay. Also I would have liked a refrigerator in my room Room 816.
