The location was perfect to end a day of hiking the West Highland Way. The Tailrace Inn has a bar on the ground floor and the rooms were above. The rooms were cozy and suited our needs. The bar was the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking and have a beer (or two) and a good dinner (make a reservation for dinner if you can). As good was the dinner was, the breakfast the next day was the star of the show with porridge as creamy and good as any that we have ever had. The hotel also provided a delicious packed lunch for us to take away for our next day of hiking. This was a wonderful choice for a place to stay in Kinlochleven.
I can not think of anything that could have been better about the stay.

Great place to stay, mountain views from the bedroom, food was great for dinner - didn't have the breakfast so cannot comment. Room was good, however the main double bed was very creaky in need of repair. Bathroom was great, shower was nice, and soaps and towels supplied without requesting. Will come back.
As mentioned before, the bed was very creaky, needs repair - aside from that all good :)

When we arrived we walked into the pub area and was greeted by the lady who worked behind the bar ( sorry i didnt get her name ) she was so lovely and made us feel welcome after a wet 9 mile walk from Kings House Hotel, We ordered drinks and home made mince and tatties while we waited for our room. Our room was clean and cosey with a comfy bed and an ensuite toilet and shower. In the morning we had a hearty breakfast before heading out to Fort William.

Nice en-suite room and super drying room. Very comfortable and welcoming staff (Norma). Nice choice of breakfast options. It is a pub and we were told the food was excellent. However, after several days of fries we noticed the “Rice & Chips” cafe immediately opposite and opted for Chinese. It was excellent! We order two entree plus rice and it was too much. The lemon chicken was delicious!

The property is on the West Highland Way and is a very convenient place to stay. We’d stayed before and were happy to return. The meals are good pub grub, just what you need after a day’s walk. The breakfasts are excellent and provide the required fuel for the walk up to Fort William. The staff are really friendly and the pub feels very welcoming. The packed lunch was excellent value for money.
There were problems with the electricity around 18:30 in the bar, which meant that the tills were down and they had to stop serving for a while. We hadn’t ordered our evening meal at that point and were a bit worried as the Chip Shop was closed for renovations so we thought we might not have any hot food that night. The staff rallied round though and took cash until the problem was fixed.

Great location in Kinlochleven and the staff were super friendly and kind. There's not a better overall option if you're walking the WHW and staying for 1 night. The included breakfast was also very good and we had an excellent burger for dinner.
As others mentioned, the beds are not the most comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming from chambermaid all the way up to the boss. A very hearty breakfast cooked to perfection set us up for a day of exploration of Kinlochleven and beyond. Alfie (our Border Terrier) was made to feel especially welcome too!
Our room was clean and tidy but just a little cramped with furniture. We tend not to unpack everything from our suitcase so a smaller wardrobe would have been sufficient as would smaller bedside table.

A bit old-fashioned accomodation but great location in Kinlochleven with restaurant/pub and good prices, nice and quiet room with views. Would choose again when hiking the West Highland Way.

The owner gave us a warm welcome and helped with our bags up to our room. We loved our room, it was our favourite room of the whole holiday as we were walking the West Highland Way and stopped in different locations each night. the whole pub and room was so cosy and welcoming. Had a great view. Had dinner in the restaurant, best meal of the week. Slept soundly and went down to a very nice breakfast. This one is a must.
Nothing, was exceptional.

Our room had 4 beds for the family, one of which was a bunk bed. Bathroom was clean. Hotel is in perfect location, walkable to everything in town. Breakfast was very good. Free parking right in front of hotel. Beautiful mountain views from room and a convenient pub/restaurant downstairs for lunch or dinner. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Loved it.
Room could use a larger TV.
