it was close to everything! Clean, comfortable and our room facing Penn Station had a great view!

The block opposite ours (34th and 9th) was really sketchy at night.

Friendly hotel staff with great customer service. The hotel location is in an excellent location if you're visiting New York and have just a few days for sightseeing as its easy to get around from there. Very near to and approx 10-15 mins walking distance from the Empire State Building and right across from Penn Station with a subway stop a minute away.

The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of Manhattan. Very worth seeing at night but it became quickly packed since it opens to the public right away and has very expensive drinks with hotel guests charged the same rate as external customers although the latter are charged for access. We left after 15 mins.

I thought it was silly having breakfast in the lobby, guests crammed together, but we couldn't have it in the diner because of covid apparently but guests were eating on top of each other with no space in the lobby... I didn't like the fact on check in the receptionist didn't inform me of a deposit so I found out on checking my bank account + despite telling the hotel in advance I lost my previous card I'd booked my room with they still tried taking from that card meaning I had another amount pending and essentially had less money available for days... Guests should be notified of deposits check in

Good sized room with a window that opens! Perfect location for an event at Madison Square Garden, couldn't be a shorter walk, and directly across the street from Penn Station. Bed was comfortable and the shampoo, etc. provided on the wall of the shower were nice-smelling and I prefer not having small bottles. Elevators were pretty speedy so never had to wait long. My husband enjoyed the breakfast offerings. Wish the rooftop bar had been open when we were there, but the view from the rooftop deck is lovely.

It was a great location and the beds were so comfortable! The room and bathroom were sparkling clean! The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. The price was excellent. Some reviews complained about the wait for the elevators but we went out multiple times a day and each time the elevator was there within seconds of pushing the button.

I wish I had known I could request a refrigerator in my room...I just assumed if there wasn't one I was out of luck.. I'll know better for next time

Clean and in a good location for the subway. The room was excellent and the maid did a great job every day. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet. Plastic cutlery though which wasn’t helpful when buttering toast. Also not environmentally friendly as single use items thrown away. Plenty of choices though at breakfast. Wi-Fi was excellent.

Despite booking a taxi at 11.00am for a 15.30pm pick up to go to the airport the taxi was not ordered by the bell boy. Very disappointing. The bell boy on duty tried hard to order another but it would have been too late and we would have missed our flight. Instead we had to queue outside penn station in a long line of people. Eventually a taxi arrived but due to rush hour it took 90 minutes to get to the airport. We just made our flight but we were really let down by the hotel bell boy. If ordering a taxi from the hotel ensure you get a confirmation number. We just expected that people do their jobs. Very disappointing experience. Constant loud noise due to the 24 hour building work at Penn Station. Using your mobile phone as a key didn’t work.

Didn't realize I could've gotten a fridge for the room

The room was fresh and very well maintained, all areas were super clean and easily accessible. Front desk was warm and friendly. Everyone and anyone we asked assistance from was more than helpful. We opted for this hotel due to the location and not knowing the area at all…super super simple to get around. My adult son went out late into the evening for food and had no trouble at all in or out of the hotel. Room key worked each and every time we needed access, for some reason thats always an issue with hotels but this one nailed it without any problems!

the hotel was clean and comfortable. the location was perfectly central for a sightseeing.

the lifts were an issue. we had to wait a long time and as we were on the 17th floor it wasn’t possible to use the stairs as my husband is disabled.

Location is fantastic and very central for Manhattan. Also great to be opposite the train station for access to trains to JFK/Newark airports and the subway. Staff were 10/10, super helpful and went above and beyond. If you can, get a city view room as the views really do add a special aspect to the stay. Good to have breakfast included as well - most hotels charge extra!

The only problem we encountered were the lifts often being out of order. There are three, but one morning with the rush to breakfast and 23 floors to service only one lift was working making the lift very busy and taking a long time just to get downstairs. It wouldn’t have been a problem if we were on the lower floors as we could take the stairs, but we were on the 21st floor so was a challenge.
