The place was just a hidden gem. The food was a great value for money.

Parking... It was a bit of a walk to the room with luggage

Rooms were nice and the environment was so peaceful. It's a lovely place. The Stuff is friendly especially the guy who welcomed us at the reception on Friday night

Breakfast was not too good for the value of the money and the noise at night coming from I don't know if its the club or what nearby it was extremely too much I could not sleep well. And Aircon was blowing cold air only and the toilet was not flushing properly

The room was nice and spacious. I have visited Shumba as part of Wits students attending a writing retreat. The experience wasn't that great as the rooms were untidy and plain. The room I was allocated to this time around was super. I liked the private swimming pool. I will be returning soon for a full-week stay.

The breakfast was cold. Staff members are not proactive. They want to be asked to clean up the table after other guests have left. It was difficult to find a clean table.

Scenic beauty and place maintenance. Although there's room for mprovement, the facilities are well kept and adequate. Guest rooms are distal from the main entrance and reception, giving guests all The privacy and comfort they need. They have an excellent bar with friendly staff and great food.

Not all rooms have a bar fridge for refreshments. We were first checked into a room without a bar fridge and it had faulty bathroom flushing system They redeemed themselves by checking us into a different and better room.

* waiting time for orders at the restaurant can be improved * communication from the waitresses and waiters can be improved * malva pudding & ice cream can be improved and the overall menu * staff needs to be more friendly

The food was very bad. But everything about the place was fine shame. Although we couldn't use our private pool because it was dirty other than that, the place is quite, spacious and comfortable to be in

We had dinner there, the food was bad, meat was not well cooked, food was very dry ..The roof kept giving me sinus 🤧 because it has that grass smell, a ceiling board would do in that situation for people with my condition

The pool was clean , staff was so polite and excellent 👌 the place is very nice for taking pictures 📸 the rooms are very big and spacious as well as the bathroom I had a great time here. The place really improved and it's impressive

They should put dustbins outside near the rooms, ants where all over the room ddnt know where to throw my garbage

The swimming area and the Booma - exquisite and the fact that my Family was given the whole Ronda. Everything was short notice and the stay was short but everyone was Happy... Keneth was really sweet

The bathrooms looked worn out, parking was a bit of an inconvenience and it was a rainy day... Lastly, when I was given false information about the place being pet-friendly but actually not but Thanx to management it was fixed...

The man at the reception, Kennedy and the other tall one who wears a black suit were doing an exceptional job. They adhered to our needs. Our food went missing during cleaning, they made sure it was replaced

Short-staffed- Rooms were not cleaned in time as there were about less than 10 cleaners Food was served after more than 45 minutes of waiting Electronics- we were given a non-working iron after 1 h45 of waiting for it.

We loved everything about Shumba Valley Lodge. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay.

The remotes for AC and TV didn't work - but that didn't bother us - merely just to let you know. Maybe consider some curtains by the bathroom window - just a suggestion. :-)
