This room had the best view of the Alps. The staff was very friendly and helpful with information about Wengen. The steep up hill walk to the train was hard the first time but got better and always worth it. Excellent breakfast and we had dinner at their restaurant twice and it was fabulous. The rooms were clean, not large and the bathroom was very small but otherwise perfect accommodations. The hotel was very convenient to all the trams and trains. Loved the view from our balcony, the food and this beautiful village of Wengen.

The hotel working team here is SUPER. They are so passionate, friendly and kind! I love the experience and service here. The room owns a terrace that faces Jungfraujoch, you could just sit there and waiting for sunset, perfect golden mountain -> rosy pink sky. The chef in the hotel is so professional and friendly. The food is INCREDIBLE with reasonable price. I will defensively recommend this hotel to my friends.

Amazing place to stay in Wengen. I’m still amazed that Thomas and Sarah actually took the time to learn every guest’s name and chat to them, extending invitations to dinner and BBQs and sharing local events, but also striking the perfect balance of not feeling overly intrusive. They are so accommodating: I arrived early and was immediately told where to put my bags and when to come back, and given extensive tips by both Sarah and Thomas on what to do and why. The exterior looks old and a little kitschy, in a charmingly old-school way, but inside is modern and very clean/well-maintained. Yes, the rooms are basic (at least mine was) but they are exactly as described/pictured, and clean, comfortable, and cozy. I also expected a “garden view” or “city view” and instead ended up with an incredible view over the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the Jungfrau. The single best view I think I've ever had from a hotel and the most incredible place. I could have sat on that balcony for days! Breakfast was tasty and varied/substantial, and while I didn’t have dinner it sounded nice and the Thursday BBQ smelt good when I got home.

I loved the breakfast aspect of it. The selections were ample and everything was in good quality.

I just did not like the fact that we had to walk with our suitcases to and from the hotel to the train station. Going to the hotel was fine because we had to go down the road which had some little inclination but going back to the train station was challenge because of going up that inclination. The owners should offer to take the guests to take them back to the train station with their golf carts.

We spent 5 nights in this naturally awe-inspiring setting. All hotel staff were exceptionally hospitable, informative, helpful and spoke English well. They greeted us each morning with a report on conditions in the mountains and village. It was only a 10-minute walk in hiking boots up to the cable car station, where you could rent and store ski gear. We ate meals at the hotel often and the service was great. Breakfasts were plentiful and fresh. Dinners were four courses of simply delicious dishes made using some local ingredients. The south-facing view from the balcony of our second-floor room was spectacular. Everything was kept clean and tidy. Loved the privacy in the sauna, and the other cozy gathering rooms.

The bathroom was small.

The staff was very friendly, thoughtful and nice. The view from the balkony was awesome, although the other hotel disturbed a bit. We had a dinner (around 35 CHF) at the hotel and it was really good (4 course menu). The Wifi was very fast and the room was clean and comfy. Toiletry products are well prepared and I didn't have to use my owns at all.

I booked the hotel around December christmas time, which was really expensive. And I didn't use the balcony at all, cuz it was too cold. I thought this was a waste of money and someone who wanna visit here should also think about it. In this aspect value for money is pretty bad.

Wengen itself. The Edelweiss more than compliments the village, the team are very genuinely interested in you having a great stay & have a knowledge & delicate touch with all guests. The sauna, the food, the space, even the cheese cubes via their own cow

The bill, but who does. Worth every penny, quality costs. This is stunning as I don't give 5 stars for anything

My stay at Hotel Edelweiß exceeded all expectations, delivering an unforgettable experience that epitomized Swiss hospitality, comfort, and the stunning beauty of the surrounding landscape. Upon arrival at Hotel Edelweiß, I was greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the friendly staff, who seemed genuinely delighted to have me as their guest. This familial atmosphere continued throughout my stay, as the attentive team consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The hotel itself is a cozy, chalet-style building that exudes a sense of timelessness and charm. My room, while small, was immaculately clean, and simply decorated. The comfortable room and balcony invited relaxation after a day of exploring the great outdoors. The tall windows provided breathtaking views of the majestic Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger mountains, a sight that never grew old. One of the standout features of Hotel Edelweiß is the exquisite cuisine. Each morning, I enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast buffet, offering a variety of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The in-house restaurant provided an exceptional dining experience in the evening, where I savored delicious, authentic Swiss dishes masterfully prepared by the talented chef. The cozy and intimate ambiance of the restaurant, coupled with the attentive service, made each meal truly memorable. The location of Hotel Edelweiß is simply unbeatable, with easy access to the mountain railway, cable cars, and numerous hiking trails. During my stay, I took advantage of the hotel's proximity to these attractions and embarked on several unforgettable excursions. The hotel staff were always eager to provide recommendations and share their extensive knowledge of the region. In summary, my stay at Hotel Edelweiß was nothing short of extraordinary.

Everything was perfect, it was a very cozy place. Very clean and comfortable, felt at home. I like the warm-toned interior decor. Staff: extremely helpful and welcoming, they asked travel plans and provided useful tips and maps. I was recommended by Randa to go to Männlichen as that would be the last day of operation before winter maintenance, it was a very beautiful place, thanks Randa! Food: breakfast was good and had all basic but enough choices. Dinner was very nice, 4-course and reasonably priced. Everyday there was a different menu. Everyday the chef asked every table how the food was at the end of a dinner. Waitresses and waiters were attentive and approachable. Kudos to them. Room cleaning staff: my belongings were respected and room was cleaned very well, thank you too. Location: close to the train station, easy to find if follow the way. It’s a mountain area so different road layouts, I took some time to find it when I arrived, I was kindly helped by a local. After that I never got lost. Quiet surroundings with nice views. The best is many cats in the neighbourhood:)

Shampoo could be better. This one made my hair heavy. WiFi was sometimes slow or not loading.

The property was in an amazing location with beautiful views. The best part of the stay was the hospitality offered. We were greeted with a wine and cheese tasting in the garden, delicious breakfast was included with our stay, the staff did our laundry for us in the same day for a reasonable price, and they offered to help us make reservations when the onsite restaurant was closed for a night. Most importantly though, Tomas at reception really made our stay, essentially planning our itinerary for us, giving us tips for how to maximize our time in Wengen/the Jungfrau region. We completely followed all of his recommendations and were so glad we did. Would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Edelweiss to anyone visiting the Jungfrau region. Our trip truly would not have been the same had we stayed anywhere else.
