A beautiful, well run hotel with stunning views in an exceptional town. We were recommended this hotel by a friend and we were not disappointed. It is a comfortable walk from the train station and right around the corner (steps away) from an indian, asian and an italian restaurant. We had the very best Ramen in that tiny Asian restaurant. There are also many other traditional Swiss restaurants within the immediate vicinity. The breakfasts at the hotel were lovely and the service friendly and attentive. The walks around this town should blow your mind. Having walked the town extensively we would choose this hotel again, upon a return visit.

The staff were all exceptional. Multi lingual, knowledgeable, friendly and customer focussed. The hotel is traditional looking but with all the modern facilities needed. The lounge area with an honesty bar was wonderful, as was the restaurant open fire in the evening. The breakfast buffet was very good.

The WiFi signal was not very strong except downstairs in the bar/ restaurant area. I ended up using my phone hotspot rather than try to use the hotel WiFi.

We loved everything about this hotel from the location, amazing views from our balcony, the room, the breakfast (included and buffet as well as made to order), lunch and dinner, outdoor patio, and the friendly and helpful staff!

We really loved staying at this traditional looking, but very modern hotel. The room and bed were so comfortable and the views from the balcony fantastic. Breakfast was a generous buffet in addition to a choice from a cooked menu. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. We were fortunate to have great weather during our visit and were able to enjoy an aperitif and evening meals on the sunny terrace. Again, we found the waiting staff very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely little lounge with honesty bar as well as a manned bar by the restaurant. The location is also fabulous - five minutes walk to the railway station and two minutes walk to the cable car. Both giving access to great hikes. We are looking forward to returning!

Brilliant breakfast. Fine location, views everywhere, and walking distance to everywhere in town that's necessary...

Delighted with everything ! Whats to complain about ?

The location of this hotel could not possibly be better. The view from the balcony was a 10 - completely unimpeded views of the Alps. I sat on the balcony pretty much every minute I was in my room. I also used the sauna every evening. I enjoyed the breakfast and used the coffee break room every day. The hotel offered pick-up at the train station upon arrival and drop off at the train station upon check out. Even though the hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the train station, it can be difficult with luggage, so the porter service was very nice. The location and views of this hotel made it worth every penny, and I would return anytime.

The rooms did not have a kettle in them, which is not uncommon for Swiss hotels, but that would have been nice, and I would have used it regularly. Regardless, the value is excellent, and the view cannot be beat.

Great location and very nice view from the hotel window in my room. The lounge was a nice feature especially because the room did not really have any space to do anything but sleep. Friendly staff but with limited knowledge of local events. Nocely designed restaurant with nice table settings but limited selection.

The size of the room was really small. I could barely turn around in the space. Some.of the items in the room could've been removed to open up space: specifically enormous wardrobe that took 3rd of the space. In suite bathroom was nice but it is also super tiny.

Loved the balcony and views from my room. Bed was very comfortable. Nice personal touch of free dessert upon entering the room for first time. Quick walk to/from train station and to cable car to Männlichen. Breakfast buffet and menu was delicious! Servers at breakfast were so pleasant.

The shower setup was a little bothersome as water would splash or spray onto the floor/sink, so couldn’t keep other toiletries on counter sink.

The location was excellent, the staff very friendly, the rooms spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable, the English TV channel choice better than usual, the balcony/view wonderful, the free sauna brilliant and the continental breakfast was very good.

A daily changing hot option at breakfast (other than the boiled egg) would have been welcome, but I was aware the hotel only provided a continental breakfast, which was very good, the bread choices especially. We didn't use the restaurant for dinner but might have been tempted to if a menu was readily available. The free shuttle service to/from the train station wasn't that well advertised.

Absolutely lovely! The location, food, and hospitality were fantastic! The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size with an amazing view and access to the patio. The boot and ski rooms were convenient and the sauna was clean and well appointed, including chilled lemon water. The staff made us feel SO comfortable and welcome from the moment we walked in the door, and the walk to/from the lift was very convenient and easy

Nothing! A few very minor items that would have further improved our wonderful stay 1) The shower half wall (vs door) wasn't able to prevent splashing outside no matter how carefully I angled the water, which combined with no vent/fan made the bathroom very wet. 2) More hooks on the walls in the room entry area would have been really helpful for letting gloves, goggles, helmets and jackets all dry better.
