This was our third visit to the Millcroft and we stayed in one of the rooms that is more like a mini apartment room 23 This gave a lounge and two bedrooms (one single one double) and the attic or tower room with a semi panoramic view over the bay through the three windows All was very neat and clean and comfortable We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating and the manager Duncan was particularly fun and helpful

Not a dislike but the parking is limited on the same level as the hotel itself and the trek up the hill via the stairs from the overflow car park is pretty tiring if you have to do with luggage so getting to the hotel relatively early would be an advantage

We really enjoyed our stay for a few nights in Oct. 24. The breakfast had a great selection from the menu, and everything was fresh. The room was clean with a beautiful view, and the large bathroom with a great shower was a plus. The dinner was also very good, and having a pub attached was perfect for a drink in the evening. Additionally, the staff were super friendly, humorous, and attentive, which made my experience even better!

While we enjoyed our stay overall, there was one minor thing we noticed. The bed had only one blanket, which meant we had to share it, making it a bit chilly at times. However, this did not significantly affect our overall nice experience.

The accommodation for my friend and I was in 2 rooms ( 1 double, 1 Single) in an apartment with a downstairs private lounge and TV. Excellent spacious accommodation for 2 women travelling requiring separate rooms. Would be ideal for a wee family of 3. The elevated location gives breathtaking views. Breakfast was delicious served by very well mannered very staff. We had a few drinks in the friendly bar and met some of the locals who were very welcoming. Gairloch is a great base from which to explore this incredible coastline. We visited Inverewe gardens and the beautiful beach at Mellon Udrigle. We were blessed with wall to wall sunshine which made this a very memorable trip.

We chose Millcroft simply as a stopover on a roadtrip, and honestly didn't expect that much. But it was the best place we stayed for the entire trip. We had the superior suite, as it was that or the family room to get two beds, and the views are truly stunning. The beds were comfortable, the suite really spacious (two bedrooms plus a living area), and everything was clean and modern. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking was easy behind the hotel, and it was perfectly located for a morning run up into the hills. Couldn't ask for more!

The bedrooms and living room are in separate level and access with stairs, interesting setup. The house came with history. The restaurant has a beautiful view. The living room was spacious.

The bedrooms were very small, so was the bed. The bed was so small where my husband couldn't fit on it. Luckily there were 2 bedrooms, so he slept in the double bed size and I slept in the single bedroom. Because the living room and bedroom are in different level, so was the bathroom. Whenever you want to get water for making coffee, always need to climb the stairs, constantly going up and down the stairs.

Last minute booking for this hotel following an awful stay at another place in Gairloch. The Millcroft turned out to be a great wee place to stay. Rooms where modern, spacious, clean, and had everything needed. Great shower, and comfy bed with a quiet nights sleep. Great location, with very helpful staff. Breakfast was decent and made to order. Both the hotel manager and all his staff couldn't be happier to help and offer assistance. Great vibe at the bar too. For the price and rating I would say this is easily one of the best options in the area to stay. This hotel actually had working TVs in the rooms, with good wifi, and nice views out of all the windows. Only a 2 minute walk to the waters edge, and a much nicer bar than other hotels around. It is also only a 5 minute walk up to the town area to get use of the local shops and cafe. This hotel was the saving grace of our trip, would definitely come back.

The only thing I could say was getting the bags up from the carpark via the stairs. However, if you aren't keen on stairs you can always walk around to the bar entrance and avoid using these totally.

We had an apartment with sea view (2 bedrooms) and it didn't disappoint - extremely good value for money. The breakfast was good but the best thing about the Millcroft was the staff - in particular, Abbie (apologies if spelled incorrectly - could be Abby/Abbey etc.!) who was so lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We had dinner in the evening and it wasn't fantastic, to be honest. The decor in the apartment was a bit dated but we were only there for one night and I'd rather dated decor but clean, than modern but grubby!

The evening meal was OK, and breakfast was 1st class. Staff were helpful and polite.

TV only had 3 BBC channels, which let me down for F1 on Saturday. Car parking was difficult. Would not recommend for anyone with trouble with legs, as stairs from bottom car park were very steep and many steps. Inside entering building there are 3 steps, then all rooms are up a flight of stairs. This caused my wife some trouble as she has problems with her legs. Reception is not manned most of the time, and unavailable after 5pm.

The room was a suite, more than adequate! But the bonus was the restaurant...I hadn't known from their listing that they had a restaurant for dinner (not included in price of course.) I booked when checking in and must say that I was amazed at the quality and care in their dinner offerings. But the breakfast Was included and was worth going there just for their salmon and scrambled eggs. Perfect. I ordered fresh scallops and they were luscious, perfect (even better than those offered by the Three Chimneys the next night.) The staff was wonderful. Furnishings in the rooms are comfortable and the views cannot be beat.

The king suite with ocean view was just too big for 1 person.
