The location can’t be beat, with beautiful views over the Loch and just a short walk along the waterfront to the Ullapool downtown. The rooms were clean and spacious and seem to have been recently renovated, there is ample parking and the staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. We had a delicious dinner in the on site restaurant.

The location was fabulous and the view from the room breathtaking. The room was large and welcoming, great to relax in. The food was fresh and well cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially a gentleman on the front desk named James. His customer skills were exceptional and he always seemed to be everywhere helping out where he could. James will go far.
Maybe the bar area could do with brightening up bit , little dark. Im sure its on their list of things to do as the rest of the hotel was recently updated to a good standard.

The breakfast offering was exceptional with a cold buffet in addition to a choice of cooked breakfasts. The staff were all very pleasant to deal with, attentive and professional. All contributed to a positive impression of the hotel.
It was a long trek from the overflow car park to our room. Trundling baggage through the public areas of the hotel was vaguely uncomfortable and definitely inconvenient. This negativity could have been avoided had it been permitted to use the external fire escape stairway which would have given convenient access to our room. I don't know why that is made off-limits.

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel. Recently refurbished it was fresh, clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The toilet and showering facilities were immaculate and worked. We had everything we needed for our overnight stay which included breakfast. We had dinner in the dining room too and were very impressed with the level of service and well satisfied with the quality of food which we rated as good value for money. The welcome we received on arrival was excellent and on departure we were thanked for our custom. We would have no hesitation to visit again and would recommend the hotel and its staff to anyone looking for a highland welcome and relaxed stay in Ullapool.
Our pre dinner drinks were taken in the bar of the hotel. Although we did not feel inconvenienced, we had to walk outside a short distance to access the bar. There is an adjoining inside route which is used by staff and we were helped to use this on our way back to the dining room.. The benefit to walking outside was getting an opportunity to enjoy the amazing view up the loch on a beautiful spring evening. On a wet night we might have felt differently.

The view from our terrace room was exceptional - an uninterrupted view straight across the water. Breathtaking. We paid extra for a terrace room and was fortunate to have one on the corner of the hotel with curved window and balcony and the view was worth paying the xtra for. The room was huge and well appointed. The staff were really friendly and helpful, particularly the hotel manager. The food was superb, as were the beverages available at the bar including local malt whiskeys. The hotel is well situated close to local shops and bars and to the ferry and port - all within easy walking distance. I’d happily stay here again and would certainly recommend it to others.
There was little not to like about this hotel. If I had to pick some minor niggles, it would be the mirror in our bathroom had a switch on it, but did not work - I assume the mirror surround was supposed to light up, but was either not working, or hadn’t been connected to the electric. The toilet roll was really cheap and flimsy - not what you’d expect for a £200 a night room and there were no bath robes. A few more nice finishing touches to this room would have made this an exceptional stay. But, I would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it.
