A beautiful property which was built decades ago and renovated in the recent past. Hotel is nice, about 10 min drive away from the centre of Inverness city. It is beautifully located in a picturesque locality. has a very nice large lounge. Ample free parking was a bonus. Rooms were big, airy, bright and comfortable for our family of 4. Breakfast spread was limited but definitely enough. A big shout out to the efficient ladies at the breakfast who ensured that we had made to order eggs, pancakes and also vegan sausages for my mother. It is a good property for wedding events and other gatherings with a golf course right next door. Some of the historic sites are a short drive away.
The property had just one lift and it was quite cramped and slow. The corridors on top level should have some lighting as they were totally dark (turned on with sensors, though). It was an eerie feeling when stepping out for the kids.

The hotel has been my favourite one to stay in when I travel to Inverness. I feel very safe there. I got a really good deal for my last stay which included a comfortable room with a king sized bed and half board.
Because I had a super room with half board at what I thought was a super price, I was happy with the meals I had. I thought the food on the menu was quite expensive for what it was and the dining room wasn't very busy. The last night I was there, there were only 2 of us eating in the dining room at the time I was booked. The food in the evening was tasty, but was salty. If I stayed again without a super deal, 6 I would probably go somewhere else for an evening meal.

Room with nice view of the grounds. Very pleasing and comfortable longe area. All staff excellent. Dinner was very good with a nice touch of my dessert plate decorated in recognition of our 45th anniversary. I was shown the beautiful, spacious and well equipped accessible rooms and have recommended Drumossie to my wheelchair using disabled friends after being.
Unfortunate problem with the boiler system meant no hot water in the morning. Sizeable reduction in the bill as compensation was unexpected. Staff very apologetic. Didn’t really detract from overall experience. We will definitely make it our first choice next time visiting the area.

Lovely welcome, super room, quite traditional but spacious with comfortable bed, wide screen TV, immaculate en-suite facilities and elemis products in the bathroom. Quiet location, pleasant view, good parking and wonderful breakfast in the morning. Great value - felt relaxed, pampered and prepared for the day ahead but for one small issue...
The shower was rubbish! Such a shame when everything else so lovely to find that the shower head was broken and the shower delivered only a sprinkle of lukewarm water whatever we did with the knobs. So disappointing - I had a bath instead, which was fine but just wanted a fresh, hot shower after travelling and in the morning. I reported the disappointing shower, only to find another traveller making a similar complaint. Come on MacDonalds Drumossie, this needs sorting out!

I recommend this place to everyone planning to travel to NC500. After the trip, it is an excellent place to stay—a big room with a chill vibe. The staff during dinner time is friendly. You can enjoy whisky there at the end of the trip.
There was no gym. The staff had no automatic system to remind them if they had ordered breakfast for all tables. We need to remind the staff that even though they have walked by our table many times, they can tell that we haven't ordered anything. The weird thing is that all white people have been served, Even though we are there much earlier than others. The only two tables left without being served were an Indian family and us, two Chinese. But I believe it is only an unintentional negligence. I will still visit this place.

Room was really comfortable, could not fault it in the slightest. Location was close enough to the city, but out of the way to not be bothered by noise and traffic. Staff were lovely, bar supervisor was great and knew a fair amount about whisky which was a great help. Meals in the restaurant were good, choice was limited enough to not be overwhelmed.
Didn't appreciate the breakfast. Pastries, some cereals and fruit juice were gone by 8.30am and not refilled. Paying a surplus for certain breakfast items was not great.

Lovely hotel, large and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, extremely good value for money. Clearly something of a "venue" for weddings and conferences etc. but none of that was happening while I was there.
The full "Highland Breakfast" wasn't enormously satisfying and a bit dry. But otherwise the food was good. It's not far out of central Inverness but you definitely need a car/taxi if you want to get into town.

Given an upgrade which was a lovely surprise, we stayed an extra night as everything was great. Huge room, with decent sized bath and separate shower. Nice furnishings and comfortable bed.
One letter missing and another hanging from the front canopy of the entrance gives a bad first impression on arrival, this needs prompt attention as it spoils the initial impression of the hotel.

Location was good, clean and centrally located but the staff was not helpful or friendly. We were unable to get dinner one night due to a car accident, and the hotel did not accommodate us with room service or help us ordering a pizza. It was very frustrating for us.
Staff was not very friendly or helpful until the night manager talked with us and tried to get us some food at 11:00 pm.

Food except that menu was repetitive and a bit restricted. Quality excellent Staff were generally excellent and helpful. Nice decor.
Shower was feeble and temperature difficult to control; one evening the water was so hot I could not get the temperature down to a bearable level and had to abandon it and have a bath. The bath and hand towels were hung in the wrong positions. Storage was poor with no drawers. No air conditioning but 99% of the time this would not be required!
