The room is great, a comfortable desk, a nice kitchenette and the room felt spacious. The TV was also great for relaxing. The room is fantastic if you want to feel at home and get some work done.

Sadly when I was there, they were replacing the door to fire doors so there was a lot of noise every day. But it seemed like just bad luck on my part to stay during that time. The area itself is kinda sparse, so don't expect much to do nearby. For me it was great since it was next to work but anywhere else would require taking the train and for most locations would require changing lines.

Cleanliness Comfortable bed Good location Twin beds were provided as requested Modern rooms Missing TV câble - the male receptionist informed maintenance and it was fixed on the same day.

The overall staff could be more welcoming. The housekeeping never greeted us in the hallway and only some receptionists did. The female receptionist doing the morning shift on Tuesday had quite an agressive and unfriendly tone when I asked where I could grab some coffee. It may be her natural tone but it just made me uncomfortable. Slippery floor in the bathroom.

The room was quiet and bright with a nice, big window overlooking the street. There is a fridge, a large TV and there is plenty of space, especially for a central London hotel. The room is incredibly clean and the beds are comfortable - a bonus that the air conditioning is very easy to use. The location is fantastic - 20 minute tube ride from Paddington and across the street from a nice pub, plenty of restaurants close by and a Tesco Express around the corner. The staff are friendly and welcoming but leave you to it, which I really like. This is my third stay at this hotel so I must like it!

Nice central location, handy for everything in central London and a short walk from Barbican tube. Reception saff were friendly and professional. Good room, good facilities, nice toiletries and we liked that you could get extras and coffee from the basement. Room was spotlessly clean and nice and quiet at night.

Our room was not serviced during our 2 night stay, it would have been nice just to have had some fresh mugs and the cafetiere emptied (as it specially asks you not to do that yourself!) It was very hot in the room and the thermostat kept defaulting to 24°C. The second day, we managed to change it to 18°C and it stayed that way, but instructions on working the thermostat would have been good.

The building and room was very clean & well kept. The amenities of the room were excellent. The staff were very friendly and happy to assist with some small issues. The location of the hotel was excellent - walking distance from a great many attractions and very close to the Barbican centre.

Check in felt a little rushed, and check-out felt a little confused - very minor things that otherwise did not distract from the stay. Sadly our room featured a television which appeared to be faulty in some way, not a big problem nor something that affected our stay, but worthy of a mention. The room was a little smaller than I thought it would be based on description and available photos, but once again this was of no real inconvenience.

Great location, helpful and friendly staff, good facilities in the quiet room. Coffee and tea always available in the basement. Breakfast in the bakery downstairs is super (you have to pay for it, but it tastes good). Tesco and Waitrose are nearby. Best pizza on Sunday nights.

They did not clean the room once during my four day stay. The rubbish in the room was never collected, even after I removed the "Do not disturb" sign. But I will definitely stay here next time.

Small but comfy room few steps from the Barbican station. 20 mins walking distance to St.Pauls. Clean, modern, nice and cozy. Very nice bathroom with everything you need (organic shower gel and shampoo, etc.). Electric kettle, tea and coffee, 2 cups and mini fridge in the room. Barbican is a very specific area, but has its charm. The street is a bit noisy, but closing the window eliminates the most of it. The view isn't that nice, but who comes to a hotel for views right? Staff was very polite and helpful. I would stay here again.

Very nice welcoming reception area. Really loved the room. Beautiful design and very comfortable. Great bathroom too.

Making a cup of tea was tricky...felt like the kettle was in a cupboard so needs to be positioned better. Also when we came back after our concert in the evening and were looking forward to a cup of tea and a biscuit we were told it was policy to only provide one packet per room (and we'd already had the one packet provided when we'd first arrived!) This felt rather mean considering how much we'd paid. So more tea bags and more than one packet of biscuits would be nice!

An excellent location for this aparthotel. The rooms were huge, with well equipped bathrooms and were very clean. We were able to walk to most of the tourist destinations in London. The area is full of cafes and restaurants, and it has great connections with three popular tube stations in short walking distance (farringdon, Barbican and Old Street). The access to the iconic Barbican development and theatre were great.

There is no breakfast available on site, but this is mitigated by free coffees in the reception, and a selection of muffins if you get there early.

Excellent location, spitting distance from Barbican Tube, just a couple of stops from Kings Cross and easy to get all over London. Spotlessly clean, lovely staff who went above and beyond. Soundproofing is amazing, it’s next to a city road but you can’t hear any of London’s usual background buzz.

The air con seemed to have a mind of its own and generally didn’t work when needed - red hot over night and freezing on a morning. Restaurant being refurbished so no breakfast option. Lobby therefore very small. Noise from other rooms quite noticeable.
