Easy check in. Great breakfast. The ambience of the hotel was absolutely stunning. The carefully chosen paintings and art pieces added a touch of elegance and uniqueness, creating a visually captivating experience. The furniture was not only stylish and luxurious but also incredibly comfortable, seamlessly blending modern design with timeless charm. Every corner of the space felt thoughtfully curated, making it a perfect setting to relax and enjoy.

I wish the room might have been a little more larger. The clock wasn’t working (needs a change of battery)

The room was comfortable, quiet and clean - as was the bathroom. As a woman travelling alone, it was reassuring that, on check-in, the receptionist asked if I would feel safe with the ground floor room that had been assigned to me, and happily moved me up to the first floor instead. The location in Charterhouse Square is beautiful and very convenient, with excellent transport connections a short walk away at Farringdon train and tube station. Bars and restaurants of Smithfield, Farringdon and St. John Street are all in walking distance.

The bar/restaurant downstairs is too dark and service was not great. The bar shouldn’t be offering cocktails if there is no-one trained to make them!

The Malmaison Team were fantastic hosts; welcoming and warm, kind and knowledgeable. The hotel has a beautiful exterior, located in Charterhouse Square, which is steeped in history. Even though you are located a stones throw from Farringdon station there is a peaceful atmosphere around the square which is ideal for watching/listening to the different birds that reside in the trees. The interior mixes modern funky vibes with luxurious textures and interesting books to read in your personalised room. The food in the restaurant is delicious with an extensive cocktail/wine/spirits menu. Perfect venue for a peaceful sleep, party, meeting, event or a quiet cup of tea. There is also a small gym located downstairs and a vending machine in reception. Reception is open 24/7 with the Malmaison team ready to accommodate their guests needs. Special mention to Fran, Jason and Adrian who made me feel well cared for during my time as a resident a la Malmaison. Merci x

I wanted to extend my stay, however all the rooms were fully booked.

I Had a wonderful view from my room and separate breakout area to work from in my room was brilliant Gorgeous food the staff kindly made me a fresh fruit salad off menu which I really appreciated

There was a constant humming /buzzing from the bathroom extractor /fan that disturbed my sleep I couldn’t work out how to turn it off Shutting the bathroom door muffled it but it was distracting. I am a good sleeper and don’t typically get woken by noises. Such a shame - other than that everything was five star

Great location, only 1 minute walk from Farringdon Elizabeth tube and 3 minutes from Barbican Tube Station. Lovely quiet Charterhouse Square but only just around the corner from Smithfield market and buzzy Clerkenwell. Comfy bed.

Having an electric socket next to a mirror in the bedroom so you could use the hairdryer, hairstyling equipment, put on make-up etc. Only mirror was inside the wardrobe and the bathroom mirror got very steamed up. The hot water was very hot, the shower ranged from hot, hotter to hottest!

A quiet location within easy reach of the tube and small local restaurants and shops. We preferred to base here rather than in the hustle and bustle elsewhere. We had a deluxe room which was spacious with a nice bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the coffee machine! Breakfast was delicious and the buffet was beautifully presented. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lighting and mirrors could be improved for those needing to do make up.

Nice room, lovely shower room. Comfortable bed. Near reception. Excellent breakfast. The Receptionist who checked us in could not have been more helpful, she took a lot of trouble to find us a room that suited. I am disabled on a mobility scooter and I had to have a walk in shower. She eventually found us a room closer to reception. She was not wearing a name badge, otherwise I would have mentioned her by name. All your staff were very helpful, but she was exceptional.

Only one chair in the room to put clothes on. The taps had been put on the wrong way round and so the water kept splashing out of the basin. The heating wasn't working so we had a small radiator, which worked well enough. Nowhere to put the suitcase, so it had to live on the floor!

The staff were so friendly and helpful- Viktor is amazing- his attention to detail is outstanding. The shower was lovely and the dressing gowns, chocolates, dog bed and treats were a nice touch. The bed was large and very comfortable and the room didn't look like a generic hotel room.

The rooms close to the lifts are probably a bit noiser than ones further down the corridor so we could hear people through the night even though they weren't being noisy. Seeing a light through the bathroom door during the night isn't good for the person who is trying to stay asleep! Solid doors would be more practical but would probably make the space look smallerl

Delighted to receive a room upgrade on arrival! 😃 lovely spacious room, overlooking the square. Love Malmaison’s attention to detail, just those little extras make all the difference. Our bed was so comfortable, choice of pillows, lots of towels and great shower. We had a little wait for breakfast, but it was worth it. Freshly cooked hot food and a buffet. All the staff were very friendly especially Francesca who checked us in and out. The hotel was a very convenient for an overnight stopover for our departure from St Pancras Eurostar. One stop on the tube to Kings Cross.

There was a bit of noice on the street but it’s party season

It's our second stay at the hotel and we enjoyed everything about the place. It's a little classy boutique hotel, handy to the underground. Staff are also very pleasant.

Unfortunately, the soy milk was off, as was the almond, milk, so I couldn't start my breakfast with cereals, being lactose intolerant. But every other part of breakfast was fine. The containers the milk are stored in arnt chilled. Not the end of the world. It's still a smashing hotel, and we will stay again.
