Two minutes from Limehouse Station and easy travelling to all parts of the city. Comfortable bedroom, with all we needed, and excellent breakfasts. Refreshments available throughout the day with a choice of comfortable lounges. Very clean and tidy and very attentive staff. Ideal as a base for exploring London - or as a place for rest and retreat.

Great location close to the train station.
Shane there is now a separate parking charge as this will affect my choice in future, as with parking included it is a very reasonable price, but with the additional charge it opens up more options elsewhere at the same rate.

The Royal Foundation of St. Katharine is truly an oasis in the heart of London. It's a rare gem offering peace and serenity amidst the bustle of the city. The beautiful garden and the profound silence make it feel like a hidden retreat—something you wouldn't expect to find in London. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are cozy, and the beds are wonderfully comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Although I didn’t try the breakfast, the delicious aroma of freshly toasted bread greeted me every morning, which was a lovely touch. The location is slightly outside the city center, but it’s well-connected by buses just around the corner, making it easy to get wherever you need to go. My favorite spaces were the lounge and the garden. I spent several evenings in the lounge, doing some art, and it was so peaceful that it felt almost surreal. If you’re looking for a tranquil place to unwind, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a haven of calm in the middle of a vibrant city.
The location is slightly outside the city center, which might not be ideal for some. However, this is easily solved by the excellent bus connections just around the corner, making it simple to get wherever you need to go.

Quiet. Clean high quality bed and bedding. Temperature excellent. Good for hot and cold people. Towels clean and soft. Hair dryer great 😸. Excellent value. So close to DLR!!! Wonderful atmosphere. Food nice.
Shower needed a bit more TLC but after staying at many different establishments (0 stars up to 5* stars), this is an area that often needs work. For me it was fine. I would still stay again, others mays have a different opinion. I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't noisier as the floors are all laminate/hardwood. usually, with no carpets, it's a nightmare, noise travels but I can say i did find it noisy. I was pleasantly surprised it was really quiet, maybe it was the type of people staying?

I was in London many times, staying at 3* and 4* properties but never had so much space in my room or should I say in my accomodation unit, as we ( two of us, with a work collegue) had a flat with 2 rooms ( very spacious), 2 ensuite bathrooms ( surpise, since the flat's description indicated 1 bathroom), a huge living room with a courtyard view (a lawn to rest your eyes in the middle of London, that is a pure luxury and I am sorry I didn't get much of it, since I was attending a fair and was in the room only early in the morning before breakfast and during the night to sleep), a fully equipped kitchen ( not that we needed it, but somebody reading this review might). Than I was pleasently surprised with a visit from an executive manager during the breakfast, asking how I was and chatting with me to find out my opinions (since the hotel is an old convent and still run by the church, and as I don't practice any religion, and since the executive manager wore visible signs of being vikar or similar, I was kind of worried that the conversation might take the turn towards religious content, but none whatsoever). Extremly professional and pleasent. I had 3 nights of great sleep ( great bed and since at home I sleep on a very comfy boxspring matress, it almost matches the comfort of the home) The breakfast was excellent (fried eggs would be nice to have and that is about the only thing that I missed) The property sent me detailed information on how to get there and once you get out of the Limestone station it is impossible not to see all the indications on the street walls (al least 4 indications clearly visible for maybe 150 - 200 meteres and 2 turns) - never had such an experience. The property exceeded my expecations and since I work in the hotel too, it is my pleasure to give maximum marks to this property and write this review. Keep up the good work and definitely I will get back when in London.

The RFSK turned out to be not only a great place to spend our mini-vacation in London. But a place with an incredible and ancient history. The staff was super attentive at all times. And, even for a non-believer, the atmosphere of spirituality is delightful. Thank you, thank you, thank you, RFSK. We will recommend you to anyone who wants to pass through the city.
Just to make a point... The noise of the traffic passing near the hotel. But we have already found that traffic in London is very intense (and aggressive). And we realize that this is not the fault of the foundation. Also, the rooms are very well silenced. The equipment is very good and modern.

Location was perfect as very close to station and venue we were going to (the Troxy) just a two minute walk. The hotel was very clean and well kept, reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Lovely garden. Breakfast was good, (continental). The yurt cage in the grounds looked really cute and cosy but unfortunately we didn't have time for a visit. The hotel itself is gated all round so feels very secure. We were able to drop luggage off in the morning which was really helpful.
Only small things like pillows were completely flat so had to use a few. I would take earplugs as sound travels from the adjoining rooms (if you're a light sleeper), a larger mirror near a plug socket would be useful, as the one on desk is really small. There is no TV in room, as it's a retreat presumably so something to be aware of.

The location is a short walk to the DRL line, most convenient for travel anywhere in London and further afield. We stayed in an apartment that had a lounge and table and chairs. A fridge, toaster, electric jug along with cutlery, cups and plates were provided. And a sink with washing-up necessities. A breakfast of cereals, fruit, meats, salmon and pastries and bread is provided in a dining room. Gluten free food is provided also. The beds were comfortable and changed/or made each day. Excellent big white fluffy white towels, hand towels and bathmat are provided and changed as needed.
Truely there was nothing not to like.

I loved the grounds and the story of the foundation. It was so great meeting the Master, and hearing some of the history in the chapel. The room was simple and clean. I could’ve used a little stand for my suitcase, but everything else was just right for the stay.
The conference rooms were quite “conference roomy” - if that makes sense! Absolutely adequate, and nice looking, with gorgeous comfortable chairs and so on. I think because we were on a “retreat” - not your typical course, floor cushions and other forms of seating and gathering would’ve been amazing for our specific event, for meditations, group work and sharing stories.

The room was clean, the staff were very nice, and there was a good selection of continental breakfast options. The adjoining yurt cafe is a great addition, fantastic pizza. The garden is nice and like a secret place of calm in a very urban area.
Windows were single glazed so we could hear all the nearby traffic, and one in the bathroom would not close properly. More concerning was the door to our room (20), which had a very visible gap between the door and the frame seemingly because it had warped, and was big enough to allow noise and light from the hallway to get in, so it didn't feel very secure. Photo of it added to this review. The bathroom window had paint falling off old frames, and pain coming off near the shower between the toilet. Sink was hard to empty because the plunger to open it was very stiff, and it was very slow to drain. Rooms are smaller than the photos depicted, so I think it was a bit expensive.
