The staff were lovely and really helpful. The rooms, although not very central or near a tube station, were in a nice enough area and the room was quiet at night, despite being on a fairly big road.
The room was a little ‘tired’ - some peeling paint on the ceiling, the toilet didn’t flush smoothly, the shower was so slow to empty that my wife and I couldn’t shower one after another without paddling in several inches of water and risking it overflowing, the carpets could do with replacing. And, whilst they’ve taken time to get new mattresses (which meant a comfortable sleep), the base of the bed was bigger than the mattress - and, as there was a small piece of wire (like a staple) sticking out from the base, I ended up with a cut down the length of my calf when I went to the toilet in the night. Everywhere in London seems over-priced these days, but I don’t feel the room was really worth what we paid (although I think we got a bigger and nicer room than the one we booked).

The room was clean and spacious. Very comfortable bed. Great location, very nice and friendly staff. The hotel provided us with towels. Bathroom was well equiped with soap, shower gel, shampoo/hair conditioner and body lotion. In the room, there was coffee machine, kettel, hair dryer, fan, flat screen TV, jar of sweets and tea/coffee. As a guest, we got 10% discount at the pub (delicious pizza & beer & sport events on big screen). Across the street, there is a bus stop. Less than 10 min away, there is an underground station. Totally recommend!

The location was great, near main attractions in 20-minute walking and 2 underground stations in 10-minute walking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We really loved the coffee and tea offered inside the room and the common bottles of water and milk.
The water in the shower was not very hot (or at least we were not informed how to heat it up). Also when we were offered cleaning of the room for more than 3 nights stay, we just asked for trash to be taken out, but it never happened. One more thing that we were not happy about were the too many steps to climb up to the room in a very narrow staircase, so carrying the suitcases was a challenge

The property is in a nice, quiet part of the city but still close enough to walk to big attractions like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the Imperial War Museum. Bus and Tube stops are only a short walk away too. The pub below is a nice spot for dinner (they specialize in pizza) and is lively, but not rowdy. there are plenty of other options nearby as well. Special shoutout to Kennington Coffee Shop next door for a great breakfast option—the owner Andrew is super friendly and the regulars are always open for a conversation!
While everything was clean and comfy overall, our bathroom's shower drain was unfortunately clogged on our first night. No big deal though—we let the cleaning staff know and they took care of it right away. I'm also nitpicking with this, but some of the furniture like the tables and desks were slightly worn. But for us, it added to the cozy charm of the place. The bed was comfortable, with was all that mattered. :D

Great location 15 mins walk from Waterloo Station. We stayed in room 7 so no noise from the pub. We liked that we could open the window as the room was very warm as the heating was on (we stayed November). Bed was comfortable and bedding was clean and soft. Lovely pub although we didn’t use it. Good tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk available. Shower had good pressure. Price was very good as access to central London was so easy. Would stay again.
Decor was a bit tired and could use a lick of paint. Fridge in the room wasn’t very effective but not really an issue as we could use the shared fridge.

The staff were absolutely exceptional. I believe it was Brad who greeted us, he was extremely accommodating when we were on a particularly tight schedule that didn’t fit exactly around the checking in and out times. There are not words to describe how genuine and lovely he was and is truly a fantastic asset to the team at The Ship. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. In a very good location, a short walk away from the tube and directly by bus stops. We had an excellent stay and would definitely book again on the rare occasion we visit London. Again, the staff here are incredible and even offered us a bag drop, and took our bags to our room when check in was available. Phenomenal.
The water in the shower didn’t drain very well but it didn’t cause us any major issues.

A really lovely room in a cosy little pub - the bed is SO comfortable! The shower was lovely too, and the little jar of sweets was a lovely touch!
The only comments I’d make is that the lights are really low so it’s actually really dark during these winter days/evenings and it would be great to have another couple of lamps, and we didn’t have any milk for the tea. Also, the fire alarm went off at 3.30am which was a shock, and we were unsure what to do (other than vacate the property!)… but would still stay here again 😊

Large Room with lovely decor. The bed was very comfortable, shower with great water pressure. I really appreciated the little tea and sweets corner. Although the accommodation is located south of the Thames, access to public transport via bus is available almost right in front of the building while the tube stations are a short walk (10 minutes max.) away. I would definitely return when visiting London again. The pub below the accommodations is also a great place to spend an evening.
Nothing - everything was wonderful.

Warm welcome, friendly staff. Lovely, spacious room. A minor problem with the bath tub was resolved immediately. The pub is really nice and serves fabulous home-made pizzas! The pub doesn't offer breakfast, but staff can advise nearby cafés, AND there's coffee and tea in the room for those who prefer to have a quick bite in the morning before heading out. Various buses stop almost in front of the pub to take you to anywhere you want in London (N3, 59, 159 being the most important ones, taking you to Victoria, Aldwych and Westminter directly) and there are 2 tube stations 10-15' walking distance from the pub.
Nothing we did not like, but perhaps just a pointer for prospective guests: on weekdays, the pub opens at 3pm, so if, like we, you arrive in London in the morning and want to drop your luggage straight away and then head out to visit the city, it might be best to message the property beforehand to agree on a time. We were lucky to find someone in the pub when we got there around lunch, but I'm not sure if that's always guaranteed :-) Another pointer might be that the pub is in a relatively quiet area, so allow for some 15-30' to get to any place of interest. We were very happy with

Large room (no 3) with very comfy and clean bedding, big TV, prompt response to online queries prior to stay. Facilities for making hot drinks available in room ( real milk and chilled water in nearby communal fridge). Because mine was a short stay I didn’t need to interact with the staff much but those I spoke to were very helpful.
Shower cubicle small, no bother to me but if you were a large person you might struggle. Shower door seal and sealant need a little attention but a minor point. I would have preferred biscuits to the sweetie jar but you can’t please everyone!
