5/7 staff were exceptional, and I wish we had taken names (Reception desk day/night and maid service) The restaurant was fantastic (food and Jacob, our server). The manager was very helpful (he is a huge Prince fan and gave us some ideas for things to do). It was great being just about a mile from the Mighty Mississippi River, and the parks along the river were so pretty. Downtown is pretty, and fun to walk. Our event was just 1 block away. *We were only 2 blocks from 'First Avenue & 7th St Entry' venue* where Prince filmed Purple Rain. And we were around the corner from the Mary Tyler Moore statue.

2 other ladies at reception either ignored us, or gave the impression she did not enjoy her job. Vending machine prices are steep, but we couldn't find a market, so at least they were there for emergencies. Finally, a hotel that puts the light switch INSIDE the bathroom, except that the door is partially glass, so it STILL lights up the bedroom. We were disappointed that the Skyway was blocked off. Taxes make this hotel expensive, especially our room costing $850 for 4 nights, without a view (our window looked at a sort of hallway/storage area).

Comfortable beds

The day we arrived we had dinner at the one restaurant in the hotel food was good. We asked the host how late they serve breakfast the next morning we were told until 1:00pm when in fact when we went down for a late breakfast they were no longer serving it. The piece of paper in the rms also says breakfast served until 1:00pm I believe it said everyday or on weekends it was a Thursday. Our plan for the day was messed up due to incorrect info from the host as we had to search for another restaurant that served late breakfast we found one 5 blocks away.

Great customer service all around after sharing with the staff about a shower head issue. Offered vouchers for the first night and was able to get the engineering team to do a shower head replacement promptly the next day.

Discovered a not so clean shower head just before getting in the shower on the first of six nights. That earned a drop in score for cleanliness, but the staff were very accommodating.

Perfect location for pride and US Bank Stadium. The staff were very friendly. The view of our suite was essentially the wall of an outer building, which is a bit bizarre but we kind of liked it as it kept the sunlight out. This is not a place to stay for beautiful views of Minneapolis (or, any views whatsoever, but I preferred the ability to sleep in.

No room service in early afternoon. Most hotels I've been to will check back for late sleepers, but this one did not. I usually wouldn't be bothered by this as much but we booked the suite and spent a bit more for this stay and expected a bit higher of a bar.

Convenient location

The woman (I didn’t get her name) who checked us in was not helpful at all about where to park, where to unload our luggage, where the elevators to our floor were. Isn’t her job in hospitality? I had been so excited to be staying in downtown Minneapolis (first time) to feeling unwelcome. All your other staff were kind and helpful.

Restaurant was a big improvement over the one in the Radisson. I had a pheasant pappardelle that was fabulous. Also like the fact that dogs are still welcome at this hotel.

There is no where for my dog to do her duty in downtown Minneapolis. The Peabody in Memphis has an extremely small dog area but it does the trick for my dog. I'm not asking for a full blown dog park but just a few square feet of grass would be greatly appreciated by me and my dog. As well, downtown Minneapolis is looking increasingly shabby. Wake up and re-vitalize it before it is too late.

Every single thing was great! From the second we checked to the time we had to leave was amazing. The front desk staff was THE BEST we have ever experienced in the cities. They were helpful with everything and super, fun, friendly and nice. Room was clean, access to parking and getting to our room was safe and clean. The location is perfect for walking to go out, dinner, lunch, site seeing etc

Leaving.

The location, the staff, the whole atmosphere of the hotel.

We normally get a higher floor since we stay so often. The lady checking us in wasn’t as friendly or happy as we are used to. The bathroom had stains on the wall. Also didn’t get up to room cleaned. Not a huge deal though since we had enough towels.

The location was nice and accessible to a lot of public transit. My room was spacious and comfortable.

There wasn't any cleaning services during my 3 day stay, so my trash built up, coffee and water was never refilled, etc. However, you can ask for some of those things at the front desk.

I wasn't expecting to pay for parking, but it was downtown Minneapolis, should have known. Small inconvenience.
