Diego the host was really funny, helpful and kind

To get to the homestay you have to go down a lot of stairs

I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were super, incredibly helpful and nice, telling me what there is to do around, booking the fansipan, my transport to Hanoi (a VIP bus that had a free breakfast at the bus station). The 1 day trek was really good and recommend it! I liked the common area, was great to socalise and talk to others. There is a separate room for luggage. The view top is amazing! Super cheap but what you received is not "cheap" per say

Tgere was no light by your bed, so it was hard to see anything in there. Had to keep using my phone flashlight to do anything. You have to pay to refill your drink bottle, which I thought was a little cheeky.

Good location just off the main street. People have complained about the steps, but they're not that bad. Possibly more difficult if you have a suitcase, but otherwise fine. Room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The people on front desk were also very helpful with any questions we had. We booked a tour through them and were lucky that no one else had booked on and basically had a private tour of Sapa. Our guide Nini was lovely and we really learnt a lot from her about her life.

Sometimes the staff tried to be overly helpful with booking tickets for things that we could do ourselves. Sometimes this made me feel uncomfortable as I had to keep saying no in a situation where I felt slightly pressured to say yes. A more hands off approach by other members of staff was preferred. Otherwise everything was good.

Great view. Clean. Spacious. Big comfy bed. Balcony. Homely. Quirky. Located on a quiet road not accessible to cars with lots of children playing and having fun. It was lovely. We arrived at 5.30am on the overnight bus from Hanoi. Free shuttle bus. Foyer was open and I was able to freshen up. I was offered breakfast on the morning of my arrival instead of an alternate day as I had a very early start to climb Fansipan and early breakfast could not be accommodated

Breakfast not as generous as other accommodations we experienced in Vietnam. For example, only one drink in the morning. I had to choose coffee over a juice. My partner thought the bed was too hard but I liked it a lot.

Diageo and his wife that run the property are soooo hospitable and it felt like home as soon as I arrived. I came in late on bus and they made sure I get in ok 😊😊 Most comfortable bed and sheets Heating for those cold Sapa nights and days so so warm!!

Breakfast could’ve been bigger! I could’ve eaten double what they gave me. Shower runs out of hot water, wish I’d known so I could be more speedy! Great tour of rice fields offered by hotel, reasonable price. Only thing is I wish we’d been told about the Hmong ladies who will want us to buy things at the end of the tour, just so I could’ve been prepared. Only small, everything else perfect and I didn’t want to leave 😊

It was a great place for a family stay. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a well-functioning heater. The washroom was clean, and hot water was available whenever needed. A cozy fireplace in the reception area added warmth to our chilly stay. Everything was nearly perfect, except for the challenge of climbing over 100+ stairs every time we went out. However, the staff was helpful in carrying our luggage during check-in and check-out. If you can manage the stairs, it’s an excellent place to stay.

Only the stairs :(

We were upgraded to rooms that were very spacious and overlooked an amazing view of the adjacent valley. The view and the room's decoration are really magnificent. The hotel owner was present most of the time and was also accessible via WhatsApp when we had a question, whether related to the stay at the hotel, or not. This was very helpful on a few occasions when we were touring outside of the hotel and needed help or advise. Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant and we will gladly come back.

I recommend having breakfast at a restaurant outside of the hotel. There are many nice options in town. While there is an accessible route to the hotel, it is mostly suitable for people who can walk up and down stairs - both for accessing the hotel from the main street (100 stairs and a short walk) and within the hotel (depending on the floor your room is located on)

Booked at the last moment... they let me early check in and arranged shower and there's rest area... Staff is incredibly attentive and friendly... Host remember each person by name 🙃 any questions had been solved in minutes... there's bathroom in the room... all tidy and filled with facilities... can put your staff at the personal locker 👌 location is close to center, just have to deal with stairs😜 but not so crowded or noisy... everyone can see the view from the rooftop😍 organized the tracking tour just in few minutes, arranged rain boots and guide... all cool😎

Everything is good 👍

Lovely family vibe, run really well by Diego and his wife. The hostel is well thought out to meet travellers’ needs in a relaxing, happy way, with downstairs lounge (and even bed) you can nap in if you have to get a late bus. Diego is very well informed and super helpful, plain spoken and fun with it, he’s good to discuss your options with in tens of onward travel too. We did the one day trek and loved it, a lot more interesting and educating than expected. The hostel building itself is great, comfy rooms and good location in sapa, so you stroll out into the valley view. I’d definitely recommend. We stayed in the dorm one night and a private room the second, and both were great.

Nothing. It hit the spot.

The common area was great and I thought it was really nice that they usually had a pot of tea there to help yourself to. The pho I had for breakfast was really yummy and the owners wife was super lovely and taught me some Vietnamese. There's a fabulous view from the roof too!

No fault of the property but there was work going on in the alley to get there which was quite steep and a bit slippery. I would prefer an individual light for each bed as I had to use my phone torch to go to the toilet at night. It was quite damp and musty but maybe that's just Sapa; and the owner seemed to ask for money every time I saw him but maybe that's a lost in translation effect.
