It's a very cute and cozy hotel in a very good location. The owners are a lovely couple. You feel like you are welcome into someone's home, but also has a quality of professionally managed hotel. Botanic Sapa hotel is a small hotel run by family, but both of the couple has experience of working at a big hotel so they know what hotel guest wants and expects. From the moment you arrived at the hotel, you feel immediately welcomed. They give you a detailed explanation about where to go, what to expect, and even give you a hand-drawn map which you will find super useful when you walk around Sapa. Their food / cafe recommendations were so good! And also the hotel is really conveniently located in the center of Sapa. In 5 mins, you can go to the station to take cable car to Fansifan mountain. Oh, they also let you know the weather situation up in the mountain every day, and sometimes even in the middle of the day. They get information directly from the top of Fansifan, so we were well informed and were lucky to see beautiful sky up there.(But keep in mind that Fansifan changes its sky so randomly and so quickly, so in the end, you gotta be lucky lol). We were at their hotel near the lunar new year, and they gave us warm wine when we came back to hotel at night which was really nice to have at the end of the cold day walking around. Can't say enough of how nice the owners were, and how they made us feel very comfortable. Oh, I shouldn't forget to mention the view is also nice when the whether is clear. Thank you for everything! We had a wonderful time!

Nothing.

What a fantastic 5 night stay we had at this small hotel / guesthouse. The views from the room are amazing, and the room itself was super clean, quiet but close to the main street, comfortable and everything was perfect. The most friendliest owner Vanh & her lovely husband Minh & young daughter Mina, who all spoke perfect English, were an absolute pleasure to talk with. Nothing was a problem for Van, organising tickets to Fansipan, a taxi driver onwards to Tam Coc, a free snack bag for our trip, doing our laundry, fruit plate in the room, refillable water bottles, beers in the fridge for a cheap price, and a full run down of the town on a map and what there is to do, was handy. She was literally amazing and was so friendly & kind to us. This is a great value stay. Highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing, everything was perfect.

Van and family were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable, and close to the centre of town - with food, shopping and bath/massage etc options within 150m. We stayed before and after our 3 day trek and were delighted to be welcomed back with hot tea, help with laundry and a place to clean our boots. Van also helped with bookings and navigating some confusion about our bus pick up. I would choose this place again.

The room has an electric blanket and reverse cycle AC for heating, but we found it a bit difficult to maintain a comfortable sleeping temperature overnight (the electric blanket gets too hot, and it was cold without it). We were visiting in the coldest month.

When you arrive from a long travel day, or come home after an exhausting day of trekking through the rice fields all you want is a clean room, a hot shower and a comfy bed. Botanic Sapa has all of those and a whole lot of familiarity and warmth. Van and her family are so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel "at home" away from home. The heated mattress and strong dehumidifying AC are lifesavers in the foggy and cold spring in Sapa and really make you feel comfortable when you return to the hotel. The wifi is strong and you have your own kettle in the room, so taking a slow day with tea and a movie is also an option. For the sunny days I liked drinking my morning tea on the balcony attached to the room. Van also helped me by giving me a map to the city with recommendations, prices and stuff and by booking the Fansipan train and cable car tickets on the day I wanted to go up and I used their laundry service twice, which was super affordable and quick. When I see a place that has ratings that seems "too good to be true" I am weary, but Botanic Sapa deserves the high rating it has. I have been to Vietnam a lot and Botanic Sapa is easily one of my Top 3 accommodations in the country!

Saying “we felt at home” would be an understatement. Van and her family are the most welcoming hosts we encountered during our travels and they made our stay truly special. Van helped us plan our days according to the things we like and she was always one step ahead of us in terms of what we may need next (laundry, transport, food, etc.). Van is very knowledgeable about which sights to visit in the current season and her recommendations were always on point. We loved it so much at the Botanic Sapa Hotel that we decided to extend our stay. The room has very nice views (if the weather is right) and a balcony. Tea, hot water and some snacks are provided and the room has everything you need. The hotel is located perfectly just off the main road to get some quiet time but close enough to everything within Sapa. Yes, there are a couple of stairs to reach the hotel but it wasn’t a big deal for us - you’re staying in a mountain town after all. We 100% recommend the Botanic Sapa Hotel and we would love to come back one day to stay with Van, her family and her cute (but shy) cat Moon.

Van and her husband are extremely nice. We arrived early in the morning, and they gave us early access to our rooms. The rooms were lovely, spacious, extremely comfortable. Van and her husband were extremely helpful and pleasant, assisted us with anything that we needed. We took a night bus after the second day to continue on to other parts of Vietnam - they let us leave our bags after we checked out, and we were also able to shower after a day of hiking (and sweating!). They really made us feel at home, as did their adorable daughter. They care very much about their guests and want to ensure that they have a great experience, which we did. When we left, we felt as if we were saying goodbye to family. I highly recommend staying at this lovely little hotel, if I go back to Sapa I would certainly stay there again.

Our stay at Botanic SaPa was memorable. Despite the weather not being optimal, we still fully enjoyed our experience at this 4 room hotel, which feels more like a homestay more than anything. The hosts (Van and Ming) are simply amazing! Welcoming, informative, helpful, honest and so kind. They did everything for us to feel comfortable; the level of attention is above and beyond, their hospitality is fully genuine. They provided us with great info and booked everything for us, from motorbike, to Fansipan tickets, comfy bus back to Hanoi and great guide for a trek. All we had to do is pay at the end and we felt it was always the right price and whatever they booked was local and connected to the community. Our room had great views (when we had them) and we liked the firm, but very comfortable heated mattresses. Shower was warm and room was cleaned daily. We fully recommend their place, great value and comfort.

Nothing. I could comment that providing fresh coffee in the morning would elevate this stay another notch.

Everything about this property was exceptional. The views were incredible. The room itself was extremely comfortable. There are only four rooms. I stayed in room C. I think it was the best room in the house. Van and Minh were very welcoming into their home stay. I felt like I was a guest of the family. Van gave me a hand drawn map of Sapa with recommendations of where to eat, what to see and where to shop. I booked the room for three nights and left my luggage in my room there while I was out on an overnight trek. My boots were very muddy when I came back from the trek and Van kindly washed them for me. Also Van does laundry for a small fee. It was also lovely to sit and do puzzles with their daughter. Van and Minh speak excellent English. I highly recommend this Homestay to anybody.

That I couldn’t stay longer

I loved the hospitality of the owner, Van. The rooms were cosy, clean and well organised. Van gave us directions to get to the hotel after coming to Sapa. On top of this, they had hot water ready for us so that we could shower after we reached. Van had guided us and kept us informed about the attractions and restaurants in Sapa. She is very helpful and very fluent in English. She even helped us book a few of the places we visited. All in all, everyone was warm and welcoming and I had my best time here. Would 100% recommend! ❤️

The Botanic Sapa Hotel is the greatest accomodation for your stay in Sapa! It is located in a small side street near the city center, so you can reach shops, restaurants and even Sapa station easily by foot (you need to take some steps to the main street). Our room was spacious, super clean and had everything we needed. There was even a balcony with views on the mountain. But the best about it is the hosting family. They are so lovely, kind and attentive people, gave great tips and really helped us making the best of our short stay. Thank you so much for everything, we will definitely come back :)
