One of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever stayed in! Wonderful luxury from start to end! The most idyllic setting with breathtaking views and excellent service from all the staff! Having 2 horizon pools - one hot and one cold - was so luxurious. Can’t recommend this hotel enough if you want a very special experience!

After spending a night in busy Sapa town, we retreated deeper into the mountains for peace and quiet at Topas Ecolodge in Hoang Lien National Park…far, far away from the hustle and bustle. The property practices sustainable tourism and hires 98% of their staff from local minority hill tribes. It’s really an amazing place, and I’ve never seen so many stars in the night sky!! We woke up in the morning to crisp mountain air, chirping birds and chorusing cicadas, not exhaust fumes and honking cars. You may not get many food options at Topas Ecolodge, but what was available was pretty good, and the overall service for our stay had been exquisite and reflective of their roots…right balance of Scandinavian attention to details and functionality, married with warm Vietnamese hospitality 👍🏼 To truly enjoy Topas Ecolodge, you must identify with the sustainable eco-tourism ethos that they operate on, because you won’t get some of the common amenities you’re used to. No in-room TV, no in-room wifi, no mini-bar, no single use plastics (so no bottled water, etc). You can get free hotel wifi at the lobby, pool and restaurant, otherwise use your own mobile data if it’s that important. Many of the things they do have a sustainable objective and benefit the minority communities, even if it means guests have to pay a little more for the experience. It’s kind of like paying more for organic foods…it’s only worth it if you believe in the benefits vs regular foods that you can get for a fraction of the cost. I’d planned the itinerary without telling my wife the details. When we checked into Topas and she found out all the incredible things that they do, she said I should’ve booked more nights 😂 I’d mentioned in my booking that my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff thoughtfully put a cake and a bottle of champagne in our room! We loved the place and are already talking about going back on our next holiday.

Topas Ecolodge is a stunning boutique resort nestled atop a hillside in Hoang Lien National Park, offering a unique blend of Scandinavian minimalism and Vietnamese charm. The bungalows provide stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, The ecolodge's commitment to sustainability is evident in its eco-friendly practices and support for local communities. The infinity pool is a highlight, offering views that make you feel like you're swimming in the clouds. Dining options are limited to the lodge's restaurants, although the food here was exceptional. We loved the cozy feel of the lodge to have a pre-dinner drink. The experience is definitely worth the price.

View Such an amazing and polite team that they have Cleanness of the rooms and villas Breakfast Our Private pool was super clean

Although breakfast is amazing, we weren’t satisfied at lunch nor dinner. The hotel’s vegetarian food wasn’t good and barely had any taste. more variety should be there

This place is heaven. Unbelievable location. If you want to relax a peaceful holiday you must try this place. From the time they pick us from Sapa Town, they drive us through the amazing mountain's, then we arrive in the ecolodge, and they welcome us from refreshments our amazing holidays start. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was overlooking the mountains. Early morning view was amazing. Breakfast was perfect. The breakfast highlight is every morning fresh tumaric shots. The food was very fresh. The pool was amazing. We stayed all day around the pool. The outdoor jacuzzi was perfect to relax and have a nice cocktail. Every day 4pm-7pm happy hour in pool bar. We stayed 4 nights. Didn't go out from ecolodge at all. My wife used two times Rice spa she said the staff were exceptional, friendly, and very professional. The spa manager was very friendly. We went to go back and experience this unbelievable location and amazing hospitality again one day. Thank you very much for all the staff who welcomed us and keep this amazing place perfect.

I’m honestly at a loss for words to describe my experience here! It felt like stepping into a fairytale, where even the photos taken on a phone look too perfect to be real—that’s how stunning and magical this place is. It’s absolutely worth the long journey, even for just one night, as we did. And we don’t regret it for a second. We left with this night forever etched in our hearts, hoping to return one day—this time with family and loved ones to share this dream with them. A huge thank you to all the staff who play such an important role in creating this fairytale experience! ❤️🔥

We had a wonderful 4 night stay in a Premium Executive Suite with an amazing view of the nearby rice terraces and mountains. The accommodations were fantastic, with comfortable beds, and serene gorgeous surroundings. The two restaurants provided lovely local cuisine and the included breakfast had an enormous offering of both Vietnamese and Western options. The infinity pool with the happy hour was a consistent afternoon addition to our days and a welcome respite after hiking in the surrounding rice terraces, or an excursion to Sapa and Mt. Funsipan. Would love to return one day!

Unfortunately, the gin and tonic was not any better than in the rest of SE Asia - very weak:(. Other cocktails were tasty however!

•The views •Exclusivity- the amount of guest staying there is limited. •The food at the stilt house restaurant and pool. •Eco friendly •Good cocktails and drinks

•There were many vegan options, but there wasn’t a single vegan dessert other than fresh fruit. The other guests were able to enjoy different pastries and a complimentary cake in the room for example. •The clothes and shoes which we sent to the laundry service did not get cleaned properly at all. We received only a partial refund. •Food at 360 restaurant overpriced and, in our opinion, not as good as in the stilt house. •There should be added an extra shuttle from Sa Pa to the ecolodge in the late afternoon.

This is a spectacular mountain resort. The grounds were much bigger than I had expected and the views were just stunning (note: it was very foggy on our first day so I could only imagine how the views would have been on a clear day). There are lots of walking and steps going up and down, so do be aware if you are mobility challenged. We stayed in a bungalow which was built against a hill slope with views looking out to the mountains. The room itself is spacious and came with all the usual amenities. Wifi connection was good. We had breakfast at Restaurant 360 and dinners in both the Stilthouse and 360 restaurants. The food was great and the service was excellent. The hotel staff helped us arranged transport, which included transfer from the Lao Cai Bus Station to the resort and also a private car on the second day for sightseeing tour. We had a very enjoyable time at Sapa and Topas.

1. The seat cushion on both armchairs in our bungalow are hard and uncomfortable to sit on. 2. I would prefer if there is a universal electrical socket or USB Charging Points in the room. 3. I'd suggest if the resort could provide recommendations or suggested activities that guests could take part on rainy days. We took a walk outside the resort and walked for 3km in the rain. The roads are narrow, some parts muddy. We should have enquired about other activities to do on a wet day.

It was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam: + We were upgraded at check-in and we loved it so much in our first our at the property that we decided to paid the price difference ang get the villa with the private pool. It was worth every penny. + Great location with amazing views even on cloudy and rainy days + Great staff, they are very helpful, without being intrusive (which can happen at more upscaled paces) + Breakfast at the 360 panorama restaurant was amazing

- the only disappointment at Topas were the dinners, which was very unfortunate, given how great the breakfasts are. We stayed 2 nights and tried both restaurants for dinner, both were quite disappointing and quite pricey given the experience. I sure the quality of the ingridients are of the highest level, but the end-result was lacking in taste. It's even more surprising given the manager of the hotel used to be a chef.
