Great rooms and very large by NYC standards. Kitchenette is a big selling point. Excellent location for mid town, and great food and drink around the hotel.

Occasional long wait for lifts. All NY buildings have similar problems though.

because of the near street， every early morning can hear the loud car noise, including the police car ,ambulance, fire engines…🥺

Very clean and spacious room. Bed was very comfortable. Room had a desk and chairs. Large window overlooking the street. Very friendly staff and doormen. Conveniently located relative to midtown Manhattan and subways. Easy access to and from La Guardia Airport (about 20 minutes by ride-share).

There's a cupboard credit of $10, which is good. But you have to be sure to confirm with the desk staff what you take. I was charged for items I didn't take. The staff were very good about it and took it off my bill after I said I didn't take it. But I think it would be better to avoid such situations by having a better system in place to confirm what guests take. Update: The second time I stayed at the hotel, I was certain to give the desk my room number and show them what I was taking for my credit. No problem this time. Great hotel. I hope to stay more often.

The room was very, very nice! Comfortable bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. Also the $10 credit to use for the “cupboard” was nice too. Staff were extremely nice and helpful.

There were only 2 things I think that need improvement. One ( and this is HUGE today) is to have ports to recharge devices. Most hotels today have them built into the desk and on the lamp base. We plugged ours into the wall by the bed and later learned when we turned off the lamp, it cut the power to the plug for our device!! Second, is the need for an exhaust fan for the bathroom. The room is very small so after a shower everything in the room is wet with steam.

Room size ànd location was fabulous.

Room was not ready by 4 PM. I only used my credit card at this hotel. Checked in on 11/7/24 and checked out on 11/10/24. I got a phone call from my card company on 11/11/24 that the card was used multiple times at several Duane Reade and/or Walgreens locations. Be careful of the same happening to you when you get home. It HAD to happen at the hotel. I did not use that card for ANYTHING else that weekend. I'm currently having to work to have the charges removed.

The staff at The Fifty Sonesta were all welcoming and friendly, in a down to earth manner. Consistency on all staff is a rare thing but the Fifty team was on. The room was very spacious, including the bathroom and extra space for a desk and a lounge like chair. Also, considering it is NYC, the snacks on the reception were fairly priced!

The coffeemaker is not the best at making its java. Perhaps mini keurigs, or a kettle with instant coffee would work much better. They do have an option of breakfast, which we didn't use, so that may work for other guests better. Also a really good coffee store was just around the corner from the lobby, so that helped! :-)

This hotel is really great! I was originally shocked by the many previous negative reviews and had no expectations at all. Until we arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff was very kind and gave us a clean room on the sixth floor. There is free WiFi available. More importantly, the room facilities are not old at all and the bathroom has been renovated and is very clean. The bed was also very comfortable. We stayed for three nights and the housekeeping was very tidy.

My stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. The room was spacious, featuring two king/queen-sized beds, fluffy pillows, a practical working table and chair, and a pantry. The staff were remarkable and warm, especially Felicia, who kept my room impeccably clean. The guest attendants were always friendly and ready to assist, making me feel right at home.

It was almost a perfect stay except for a misunderstanding with the reception staff. I had informed them I would check out late at least 6 PM (on July 1, as per my original reservation for which my card was authorized) and was willing to pay any late fees. However, the staff, without reconfirming the changes, thought I was checking out on June 30. Imagine my horror when I was already asleep, and the front desk called my room, asking why I hadn't checked out yet. This could have been a really nice and perfect stay, but it ended up being a bit traumatic.

Location relative to subway, groceries, and restaurants. The staff were exceptional, providing resources above and beyond normal requirements when my wife got sick and needed transportation to a local ER. Franz, at the front desk, deserves special recognition for his superior response and mobilizing the special services. All staff members we interacted with were great!

The toilet wouldn't flush completely the first time (had to do it twice, with a specific process and timing) , even after a maintenance man came and worked on it. He said the design was flawed and they don't use them when replacing. We were one block over from the FDNY and NYPD stations (next to one another), so heard a lot of sirens, even though we were on the seventh floor; earplugs and pillow over the head is a necessity for all but the soundest sleepers.

The hotel was nice, especially the team. We should thank to ROMEO himself personally. he was such a nice guy, smiling to everyone and speaking, explaining everything very nicely. not that, the other team members were not nice, all were very nice. The location of the hotel is very nice as it is very close to 5th Avenue, Central Park, Times Square etc,all nice places. Room was big enough for a family of 4 members. (2 double beds with our 13 years old twin daughters). We enjoyed staying here and we would recommend this place to our friends for sure

Not qny complaint but the bathroom could be better
